Chapter 18 Chapter 18

Chapter 18 Chapter 18

018.

She was happy, but after Song Yushan returned home, she locked herself in the room and cried until her eyes were swollen. The cicadas outside the window were chirping so noisily that they seemed to be mocking her.

It was clearly Song Chunman's doing, but not only did she have no evidence, she couldn't even speak a complete sentence. She could only grab the quilt and beat it like crazy.

Liu Yongli looked at her and cursed, "What's the point of crying? If you hadn't been so absurd, how could you have been caught? Song Chunman did it on purpose. She still has the original apology in her hands. Who knows what she'll do!"

Song Yushan felt wronged, but couldn't refute.

The mother and daughter cried and scolded each other. When they had cried enough and scolded enough, the security office delivered the things Song Chunman had given them to their door.

Song Yushan’s previous apology letter, and it’s the original!

Liu Yongli choked instantly.

Song Zhiqiang, who had been silent just now, had a sullen face. He slammed the apology letter on the table and said, "Song Yushan, if she really wants to destroy you, she would have already submitted the original letter to the school! Now, either let the school suppress the news, or drop out and marry Sun Wenbin!"

"I won't!" Song Yushan screamed at him. "There's been a rumor going around in the family compound lately that the child is mine and Sun Wenbin's. If I marry him now, wouldn't that just confirm the rumors?"

"So you want the whole factory to know that you were expelled from school for having a child out of wedlock?" Song Zhiqiang slammed the table and roared, "Let the Sun family take the child away from now on, and don't bother with anything anymore!"

Song Yushan missed her son, but she had no choice but to bite her lips and cry until she sobbed. In the end, she didn't dare to be stubborn anymore.

While she was cooperating with the school's investigation, the daughter of the Zhao family, who was going to find a job, returned to the city in a hurry. The first thing she did after returning to the city was to go to the garment factory to find Song Chunman to go through the work handover procedures together.

Song Chunman had worked in the garment factory for four years, and when she really had to leave, she couldn't help feeling a little reluctant.

But one always has to look forward. She simply said goodbye to her colleagues in the workshop, picked up her few personal belongings, and walked out of the place where she had stayed for four years.

She had some savings and had some free time, so she didn't go anywhere these days and just focused on accompanying her daughter around.

After coming out of the department store, Song Chunman was about to go home with her net bag. After a while, she saw a group of people gathered in front of her, talking loudly.

"Why is she lying on the ground?"

"Your face is frighteningly pale. Could you be suffering from a sudden illness?"

Chinese people have a gene that likes to watch the fun, and Song Chunmanzi is no exception. She pulled her daughter forward and saw an aunt in a blue cloth jacket curled up on the ground in front of them. Her lips were pale, her forehead was sweating, and her breathing was weak.

"Who dares to step forward? What if something happens and the family members blame us?" someone said timidly.

"Let's wait for the police to arrive."

Song Chunman's heart suddenly tightened - this look was too much like when she had hypoglycemia. She sometimes kept fruit candies in her pocket just to deal with this.

She originally didn't want to meddle in other people's business. In recent years, less trouble is worse than more. But when she thought that if she didn't care, her aunt might really collapse, her feet seemed to be nailed to the ground and she couldn't move.

In her net bag was the Tianfu Cola she had just bought from the department store. This thing was so sweet that it was greasy. She usually didn't like to drink it, but she bought it today because her daughter insisted on trying it. Now it has become a life-saving thing.

In the end, reason prevailed over her.

Song Chunman made up her mind and shouted, "Make way, let me try!"

Soon, everyone turned around to look at her, and then, like a stream of water being split apart, they made way for a narrow path.

She squatted down, felt her aunt's pulse, and then patted her cheek: "Aunt, can you hear me?"

The aunt's eyelids twitched but she didn't say anything.

Song Chunman unscrewed the cap of the Coke bottle, poured some into the bottle and put it to her mouth: "It would be nice to drink something sweet."

The surrounding discussions stopped, and dozens of pairs of eyes stared at her. Her daughter also clutched the corner of her clothes and asked nervously: "Mom, will grandma be okay?"

Song Chunman focused on feeding her aunt Coke: "Yes, drinking something sweet will give you strength."

The aunt's throat moved and she swallowed instinctively.

Song Chunman fed her some more and gently pinched her philtrum.

Two minutes later, the aunt's eyelids opened slightly. Although her eyes were dull, her complexion looked much better.

Everyone exclaimed in surprise, and the little girl's eyes lit up, "Mom, grandma is really better now."

Song Chunman smiled, then supported her aunt and said softly, "Aunt, don't be in a hurry to speak, take your time."

After that, he asked his daughter to take out some candy, peeled it and handed it to her, "Eat another candy, you will feel better."

The old lady held the candy in her mouth for a while, and finally managed to speak. She held her hand and thanked her, "Miss... Thank you, I have this old problem, hypoglycemia... If it weren't for you, I'm afraid I would be in trouble today."

"It's just a small favor..." Song Chunman stuffed the unfinished Coke into her hand, "Take the rest with you. If you feel unwell, drink some. The sweet taste can help."

The aunt pushed and tried to pay: "Soda is so expensive, I can't take it for free."

Song Chunman held her hand and smiled: "It's just a bottle of soda, it's not worth it. You should take a rest quickly and don't feel dizzy again."

The aunt suddenly pulled her tightly, a smile in her eyes: "My home is in the military compound. You saved me, so you have to come home with me to eat a bowl of hot noodle soup, otherwise I will feel uneasy."

After saying that, he turned to look at Song Chunman's daughter. The little girl blinked her big eyes, and the red string on her pigtail swayed, which was particularly pleasing to the eye. "You are such a pretty child, just like a doll in a painting."

Song Chunman smiled and declined: "No need to trouble you, it's just a small favor. We have to hurry home, otherwise it will be dark and difficult to go back."

After saying that, she took her daughter back two steps, reminded her, "Remember to eat on time next time," and then turned around and squeezed into the crowd.

The aunt sat there, looking at the backs of the mother and daughter, and couldn't help sighing.

If only she had such a daughter-in-law and granddaughter, she would wake up laughing in her dreams!

It’s a pity that her son is not up to the standard!

My aunt rested for a long time and drank most of the bottle of Coke. She finally recovered.

Then he stood up and walked slowly towards the military district family compound.

When she walked in clutching a half-full bottle of Coke, Father Gu, who was in the living room, caught sight of her and frowned, "Why did you buy this? You don't like sweet things, do you?"

"What do you know?" Mother Gu put the Coke on the windowsill and patted her chest in fear. "I had a low blood sugar attack today at the entrance of the department store. Thanks to a girl who saved me, I relied on this soda to recover."

After she finished speaking, she suddenly slapped her thigh and said, "Oops! I forgot to ask for her name and address!"

Father Gu was surprised: "Is there such a thing?"

Mother Gu smiled and said, "Isn't it? That girl is pretty and kind-hearted. She also has a little girl with a rosy face and bright eyes. She looks like the fortune-bringing dolls in New Year pictures. She's really adorable."

When Gu Tingzhou on the side heard this, he felt like she was talking about Song Chunman and her daughter.

But he quickly shook his head, thinking that he must be too obsessed, so he would think of them whenever he said anything.

Just as he was thinking about it, the old lady turned her attention to him again, "What are you daydreaming about? You're already 30 and still single! Hurry up and find someone to marry and have kids so I can have grandchildren!"

Gu Tingzhou was speechless. Why did he have to urge the child's mother whenever he saw her?

He refused to do it and immediately said, "Mom, if you keep pushing me, I'll just marry anyone."

"Don't try to bluff me." Mother Gu didn't believe it. She knew her son's stubborn temper too well and she wouldn't give in to him easily. "Why don't you find someone if you can?"

Gu Tingzhou was silent for a moment, then suddenly asked, "A divorced woman with children is also okay?"

Gu's mother obviously didn't expect him to say that, and was stunned for a moment: "As long as he's a good person, what's wrong with being divorced and raising a child? If you like him, I promise to arrange a wedding for you!"
