Chapter 32 is incredibly boring and incredibly awful.

Chapter 32 is incredibly boring and incredibly awful.

A sweet voice fell into my ears.

Zhou Yanchuan turned his head to look over.

Class 7 had just been dismissed, and Qiao Qingxue immediately ran over from the group as soon as she saw him.

The group of boys around him who knew Zhou Yanchuan started to jeer.

"Who is this? What's he doing in our class?"

"Damn, you can't just chase after them to feed them dog food."

Zhou Yanchuan laughed and told them to "get lost." As the girl ran towards him, he recalled the words he had said at noon earlier that day: "Give it a try."

Seemingly helpless, his dark eyelashes drooped, and he muttered to himself, "Idiot."

Qiao Qingxue ran over, looked up at the person in front of her, and said coquettishly, "Our PE teacher made us run for so long, my legs are so tired."

Zhou Yanchuan glanced down at the girl.

It's not hard to see what the person is thinking when they say that; they just want him to coax them.

He didn't speak or move. After a few seconds, he gestured with his eyes to a bench not far away and said in a calm tone, "Go and rest for a bit."

"Brother Chuan, this won't do."

"Is that what the girl meant?"

"Give someone a massage."

...

He accepted the teasing without question, a faint smile playing on his lips, but he made no move.

Qiao Qingxue was a little unhappy. Usually, she was coaxed and fawned over by the other boys, but his attitude was too cold.

But when I see that face, I can't bear to get angry at all.

"Then you'll come with me," she pleaded.

Wen Jiu and Lin Meng also noticed this scene not far away. Under the shade of the tree, there were several girls from other classes who couldn't help but sigh when they saw this.

"Any girl would fall for Zhou Yanchuan."

"Look at how docile and dependent Qiao Qingxue is. When has she ever treated a boy like that?"

"I don't know how long this negotiation will last."

"It might be the last one."

“How could that be?” a girl with a high ponytail retorted, her tone certain. “Look at Zhou Yanchuan’s attitude, he doesn’t seem to like her that much.”

"I wonder what it would be like if someone like him really liked someone," a girl murmured, a hint of anticipation in her eyes.

Her friend next to her shook her head, her voice as soft as a sigh: "Would someone like him ever truly love someone?"

Wen Jiu listened to their words and quietly watched the people on the track.

Sunlight filtered through the leaves and fell on those beautiful eyes, clearly illuminating the dampness within.

*

The classroom is at its most chaotic in the few minutes before evening self-study ends.

Wen Jiu lowered her head and packed her schoolbag. When the bell rang, she stood up from her seat.

"Okay?" Lin Meng looked up at her.

"Um."

“Let’s go then,” the girl said, standing up from her seat.

As Wen Jiu exited through the back door, she subconsciously glanced at the row behind her.

That spot was empty for one night.

Zhou Yanchuan never returned after the physical education class ended.

She looked at it for two seconds, then slowly looked away.

Just as I was about to step out of the classroom, a male voice sounded from behind me.

"Class monitor."

Wen Jiu stopped and turned around to look.

Su Shun grabbed her schoolbag and ran towards her.

"What's wrong?" she asked, looking at him with some confusion.

Su Shun approached and lowered his voice: "Brother Chuan asked me to take you back."

Her long eyelashes fluttered.

Upon hearing this, Lin Meng couldn't help but bite her lip.

what to do?

She now thinks Zhou Yanchuan is a jerk.

On the one hand, I can't help but want to ship them both.

"You," Wen Jiu wanted to ask him how he knew about their relationship, but since he already knew, there was no point in asking.

So what came out of my mouth was: "No need, I can go back by myself."

"No, Brother Chuan will kill me."

After parting ways with Lin Meng at the school gate, Wen Jiu looked at the person walking beside her and said again, "Really, you don't need to see me off. You should go home now."

"It's okay, I'll just play games when I get home anyway, so I might as well take a walk, and it's on my way anyway."

Wen Jiu didn't know what Zhou Yanchuan said, but judging from the boy's attitude, she felt there was no need to make things difficult for him.

She didn't say anything more and turned to walk towards home.

Seeing this, Su Shun immediately followed.

To be honest, this was the first time he had ever walked with a girl.

I'm inexplicably a little excited.

"Class monitor."

"Um."

What do you usually like to do?

Wen Jiu didn't have many hobbies, but if she had to name one, she thought for a moment and said, "I like reading."

Su Shun was taken aback for a moment, then sighed, "As expected of a top student, even their hobbies are different."

Wen Jiu smiled politely and walked forward with her schoolbag on her back.

Su Shun felt that the girl in front of him was not quite the same as he had imagined. She was well-behaved, but he felt that she was a little cold.

As he stared at the person, lost in thought, a voice suddenly rang in his ears: "Do you know where he went?"

"Him?" Su Shun was taken aback. "Brother Chuan?"

"Hmm," she murmured softly.

"It feels like we've gone back to the old house."

Wen Jiu frowned slightly.

She thought Zhou Yanchuan had gone out to play with Qiao Qingxue, but she didn't expect him to have gone home.

But because of his father's remarriage, he hasn't been home for a long time. Why would he suddenly go back?

Did he say why he was going?

"They didn't specify."

*

The streetlights in the courtyard came on, and Zhou Yanchuan stood in front of the steps. The evening breeze blew in from outside, clearing his mind a bit.

Qiao Qingxue looked at the person beside her who had suddenly stopped walking and asked, "What's wrong?"

"Go back." The words were calm, even gentle.

So much so that she didn't immediately understand what it meant, and it took her several seconds before she asked, "Go back? Go home?"

"Um."

Zhou Yanchuan responded calmly, turned around and looked at her quietly for a while, then said, "Also, let's break up."

Qiao Qingxue stood frozen in place, no longer knowing how to describe her feelings. It wasn't just shock and anger anymore; her brain had completely shut down, as if she had been played a joke on someone who had no beginning or end.

"Zhou Yanchuan, are you kidding me?"

She was almost about to curse when, to her surprise, the boy in front of her directly—

"Um."

"..."

Qiao Qingxue was already furious, but his calm demeanor managed to suppress it somewhat.

"What do you mean?"

What's the meaning?

Because of her status as Qiao Wan's niece, she readily agreed to the confession in order to spite Qiao Wan and Zhou Huaiqian, and then brought the person over.

Zhou Yanchuan lowered his head and chuckled.

How incredibly boring.

That's pretty much a jerk.

Qiao Qingxue met his dark gaze and thought he was going to explain something, but to her surprise, he looked at her and said calmly, "I'm sorry."

She was slightly taken aback.

After spending the day together, she realized that the boy was very different from what she had imagined.

I initially thought he had a carefree and unrestrained personality, but after getting to know him, I found that he has a strong sense of propriety.

Lazy and carefree, but not frivolous or dissolute.

His inherent upbringing prevented him from doing anything disrespectful to women, but the laziness and aloofness hidden in his eyes revealed his extreme arrogance.

She liked Zhou Yanchuan even more this way.

So even though he was very aloof, she still liked him very much.

But I never expected him to suddenly break up with me, and so decisively at that.

Tears welled up uncontrollably in my eyes.
