Chapter 7 My Deskmate, why do I feel like you're so cold towards Zhou Yanchuan?

Chapter 7 My Deskmate, why do I feel like you're so cold towards Zhou Yanchuan?

"Students from Class 9 of Grade 11, line up to get on the bus."

In this weather, a group of people had long been getting restless from standing, and when they heard that they could get on the bus, they all rushed onto it in a swarm.

Lin Meng squeezed onto the bus before Wen Jiu, and waved to her as soon as she saw her put down her suitcase and get on.

"Hey, deskmate, over here."

Not long after Wen Jiu sat down, a man in camouflage got into the car.

He looked to be in his late twenties, with strong, deep-set features, and very short, dark blue stubble peeking out from under his hat, revealing a bronze complexion.

He stood there, straight and tall.

The girls' eyes lit up, and they couldn't help but whisper among themselves to their companions.

"Is this our instructor? He's so handsome."

The man glanced around the carriage and, seeing an empty seat, asked, "Who is our class monitor?"

Wen Jiu raised her hand.

Lu Fengyuan followed his gaze.

A hint of surprise flashed in his eyes when he saw the person raising their hand: "You're the class monitor?"

The girl in front of me had a clean-cut face and delicate, harmless features.

It doesn't seem to have any deterrent effect at all.

Seeing the person nod, he still asked, "Are all the students in our class here?"

"without."

"How many are still missing?"

Wen Jiu turned her head and looked back: "One."

"one?"

"Um."

Do you know where he went?

She shook her head.

“Okay,” Lu Fengyuan nodded, “I understand.”

Just as they finished speaking, a sound came from the window.

"Brother Chuan, over here."

Upon hearing this, most of the people in the car looked outside.

Lu Fengyuan also turned his head to look in the direction of the car door.

About ten seconds later, a tall figure appeared in my line of sight.

After seeing his face clearly, he raised an eyebrow slightly.

No wonder these kids reacted so strongly.

The boy was taller than him, and his physique was not as thin as most teenage boys. The veins on his arms hanging at his sides were slightly bulging, and his muscles were smooth and strong, exuding a vigorous sense of power.

Lu Fengyuan looked satisfied and stepped aside to make way: "Quickly find a seat."

"Sit here."

Wu Feng waved.

Zhou Yanchuan glanced at him, then strode over.

Wen Jiu didn't deliberately look at the people in the passageway, but she still caught a glimpse of the white hem of the clothes and the shoes that stopped behind her.

She blinked.

"Brother Chuan," Wu Feng's voice rang out, "You stopped too early, I'm here."

“What do you mean by stopping too early?” Su Shun turned his head and said, “This clearly means they don’t want to sit with you, they want to sit with me.”

Wu Feng told him to "get lost," but then turned around and asked like a primary school student, "Brother Chuan, are you going to sit with me?"

The students in the front row all turned to watch the excitement.

Some girls also took the opportunity to openly look at the boy standing in the aisle.

He took the backpack off his shoulder, raised his hand, and easily placed it on the shelf above.

Upon hearing this, he glanced at the people in the back row and said slowly, "I'm not going."

"..."

Wu Feng's eyes were filled with resentment.

Zhou Yanchuan forced a smile: "Motion sickness."

As soon as he finished speaking, a boy in the front row turned around.

"How about we switch seats?"

Zhou Yanchuan looked up: "This is fine."

"I have motion sickness medicine."

One silence followed by another.

It was a girl on the left by the window. When she met Zhou Yanchuan's gaze as he looked at her, her face flushed slightly. "Do you want it?"

“No need,” he refused, then added, “Thank you.”

"Alright then," the boy said with obvious regret as he was about to put the medicine away when he raised his hand.

"I need it, I need it! I get carsick, and I was just saying I forgot to buy medicine."

The girl glanced at him, then without hesitation put the medicine into her bag. "I'll take it again when I get back."

"..."

Seeing the children's obvious thoughts, Lu Fengyuan curled the corners of his lips.

"Alright, sit down quickly, we're about to leave."

Wen Jiu could feel the person behind her sit down. Their expression didn't change, but their heart was beating very fast.

She clearly remembered that he didn't get carsick.

Then why sit here?

As she was lost in thought, she suddenly felt her arm being gripped tightly. Before she could react, Lin Meng's excited voice rang in her ears.

"Hey, Zhou Yanchuan is behind us!"

When Wen Jiu looked up, she saw the girl's bright, sparkling gaze.

She paused for a moment, then nodded.

"This is the first time I've seen him up close. He's so handsome."

The girl's lowered voice couldn't hide her joy at all.

After saying that, he secretly turned his head to take another look.

A blush rose to her cheeks.

Looking at the girl, Wen Jiu recalled the first time she met Zhou Yanchuan.

Dad drank a lot of alcohol that day.

She hid in the stairwell as usual.

As dusk fell, my stomach started growling.

Smelling the aroma of food wafting from the hallway, Wen Jiu swallowed hard.

Ultimately, hunger triumphed over fear, and she quietly peeked out from under the doorframe.

In the dim light, she saw a boy come out of the door across the street.

He didn't know what the woman behind the door said to him, but he coolly replied, "Your son is seven years old; he won't get lost."

The woman smiled, patted his head, and handed him a bag.

Wen Jiu stared longingly at the roast chicken the boy was carrying, swallowing her saliva even more vigorously.

Her attention was entirely focused on the roast chicken until the little boy turned away.

This was the first time she had ever seen someone so good-looking, even more handsome than Wen Chunian from their class.

Before going to sleep at night, he was still the only thing on her mind.

"My deskmate."

A voice sounded in her ear, and Wen Jiu's thoughts drifted for a moment, pulling her away from her past memories.

Are you feeling unwell?

She looked up and met the girl's slightly concerned gaze.

"No," Wen Jiu shook her head, "I just remembered some things from the past."

"Things from the past?"

"Hmm," Wen Jiu nodded, then said, "It's not important. What did you just say?"

"Oh right," Lin Meng suddenly remembered what she was going to say and started to feel a little embarrassed, "I mean, if I were to share some snacks with him later, would he want them?"

"he?"

"It's Zhou Yanchuan," Lin Meng said somewhat shyly, hiding on her shoulder.

Wen Jiu paused for a moment, and as she considered how to answer, the girl sighed.

"Forget it, he definitely won't want it."

This is Zhou Yanchuan, how could he accept something from a girl so easily?

The girl's eyes betrayed her disappointment.

Wen Jiu watched quietly.

It seems that any girl who meets Zhou Yanchuan will become insecure, sensitive, and anxious.

"However, my deskmate."

While she was in a daze, the voice of the person next to her rang out again.

Wen Jiu raised her head.

Lin Meng looked at him with a probing gaze: "I feel like you have feelings for Zhou Yanchuan..."

She tightened her grip on the phone.

Until the girl's next sentence rang out.

"And then there's indifference?"

Wen Jiu breathed a sigh of relief: "Really?"

"have."

Logically speaking, classmates who have been classmates for a year and who are also class monitors shouldn't be so estranged.

"I," a gentle, nonchalant male voice suddenly sounded from behind Wen Jiu as she pondered how to answer.

I think so too.
