0011 Magnolia (Part 2) [Bonus Chapter for 100 Reads]
Shu Fu entered the mansion through the side gate and was helped back to Chunwan Tower by A Jian.
Upon reaching the building, A-Jian wanted to accompany Shu-Fu upstairs, but was stopped by her. A-Jian dared not say anything more, only saying that she would bring the medicine to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis as soon as possible.
Watching the girl limp upstairs, A-Jian clenched her fist secretly, vowing that one day she would make the girl trust her even more!
Shu Fu pushed open the door, but Zhan Yaoguang was nowhere to be seen. Looking up, she saw him sitting on the roof beam.
When the boy saw that she had returned, he happily jumped in front of her, but suddenly noticed that her walking posture was a little strange.
He took two steps forward and reached out to support her: "What happened to your leg?"
Shu Fu shook her head, wanting to say something, but seemed to have all her strength drained away, and collapsed into his arms.
Zhan Yaoguang was startled and awkwardly steadied her, asking with concern, "Are you alright? Did that older sister of yours bully you this morning?"
At the same time, the boy picked her up and carried her to his small couch where he was resting.
Shu Fu's face turned pale, and she let Zhan Yaoguang pull her into his arms.
Unaware of the ambiguous atmosphere, she lowered her head and said to herself, "It has nothing to do with my older sister. I twisted my ankle myself. Feifei, it hurts so much."
Hearing her say that, Zhan Yaoguang panicked and asked, "Do you have any unused dishes in your room? Why don't you lend me one?"
Shufu didn't understand, but still pointed out a brand new set of utensils in the west cabinet.
Zhan Yaoguang got off the bed, took a small white porcelain bowl and a spoon, rinsed them with boiling water, then took off the small bamboo basket from her waist and took out a small jade bottle.
Shufu looked at him curiously.
She noticed the basket on his waist yesterday. It was a fist-sized thing that didn't look like it could hold much, but he treated it like a precious treasure. Even last night before falling asleep, she vaguely saw him take it off and place it by his pillow, holding it protectively in his hand.
Zhan Yaoguang poured out some powder from the jade bottle, mixed it with hot water, and stirred it evenly with a spoon until it became a transparent paste that solidified at the bottom of the bowl.
He walked towards her and explained, “As you know, the Southern Frontier originated from Gu magic, and Gu poison has always been inseparable from other arts, so many of us in the Southern Frontier are skilled in both poison and medicine. I didn’t bring much with me this time, but I do have some medicine for treating sprains and bruises. I won’t lie to you; my medicine is definitely better than any secret recipe from any physician in the Central Plains.”
The young man boldly promised, "I guarantee you'll be just as agile as before within a week."
Shufu nodded, obediently peeking her feet, adorned with crimson embroidered shoes, out from under her skirt.
Zhan Yaoguang sat down beside her and reached out to remove her embroidered shoes and white silk stockings.
Once the shoes and socks were removed, the purplish-red bruises on the girl's ankles became visible.
In stark contrast was her delicate and exquisite foot.
The girl's feet were as white as snow, slender and delicate like the moon, with a touch of peach blossom-like luster at the toes. They were like the jade lotus core before the Jade Mother, held in his palm, inexplicably captivating and mesmerizing.
His chest felt inexplicably hot, and for a moment he didn't know why he was in such an awkward situation, so he just stood there frozen.
Seeing that he was not moving, Shu Fu quietly tapped his leg with her toe.
Zhan Yaoguang snapped out of her daze and carefully applied the ointment along her bruises with her hand.
Shufu gasped in pain, trying to pull her legs back.
Zhan Yaoguang had no choice but to stop what he was doing and reason with her: "The blood stasis must be treated with medicine, otherwise your foot will be ruined."
Shufu was taken aback by him and had no choice but to let him continue, while she turned her face away and silently endured the endless pain.
Fortunately, his technique was extremely skilled, and gradually the pain subsided considerably, replaced by a warm sensation spreading up from her ankle. However, immediately afterward, Shufu noticed something else unusual.
She looked down. She saw the young man's long, strong right hand spreading the ointment along the bruise in one direction, while his left hand cupped her fair and smooth calf. But unconsciously, he kept gently rubbing her skin with his left hand.
The most unintentional thing is to stir someone's heart.
Shufu felt as if countless goose down feathers were gently caressing her entire body, causing an amazing itch.
Zhan Yaoguang gradually felt the atmosphere becoming a little hot. He looked up blankly and met the girl's pink face and bright eyes.
Her eyes were brimming with the gentle light of spring water, a soft, alluring quality playing at the corners of her gaze as she looked at him.
A gentle east wind swept past the west window, carrying the sweet scent of magnolia blossoms that lingered around the boy's nose.
He twitched his nose slightly; his keen sense of smell allowed him to discern a hint of sweetness in the air, but not just from the magnolia blossoms outside the window.
He stopped massaging and followed the sweet scent upwards, quickly stopping at the girl's full breasts.
Shu Fu's heart pounded—he was just a hair's breadth away from his nose brushing against her nipple through her thin spring dress.
"It tastes so sweet," Zhan Yaoguang said.
Shufu seemed to remember something, so she moved closer to the inside, gaining more room to move around.
She reached into her clothes and pulled out two palm-sized oil paper packets.
"These are the snacks I promised to bring you this morning when I went out. They're all sweet. Would you like to try some?"
Hearing her say that, Zhan Yaoguang's eyes lit up instantly: "You actually remember!"
Shu Fu was puzzled. It was just something that happened in the morning; she couldn't possibly have forgotten it so quickly.
However, the boy's next words made her understand the reason: "I thought you were just fooling me and wouldn't take it to heart at all."
Shu Fu thought to herself, "She's not the kind of person who would just fob people off!"
The next moment, Zhan Yaoguang said, "By the way, I've finished picking out the beads I didn't finish yesterday, and the box containing the jade beads is on your table."
Shufu: ...A miscalculation.
Shu Fu untied the bag containing rock candy hawthorn berries and brought it close to Zhan Yaoguang.
The bright red, round fruits, coated in amber-colored syrup, are quite appealing. Even though the sugar coating has slightly melted from the heat of the body, a sweet and sour aroma still wafts through the air.
Zhan Yaoguang blinked and showed her her hands, which were covered in ointment: "I don't think I can eat right now."
Shu Fu was grateful that he had applied the medicine for her, so she smiled sweetly and said, "Then shall I feed you?"
Seeing him nod repeatedly, Shu Fu picked up a pill and held it to his lips.
As Zhan Yaoguang opened her mouth and took a bite, her fingertips suddenly felt wet as the hawthorn ball was swept away.
The boy's tongue was moist and soft, lightly touching her fingertips before leaving.
Shufu trembled all over.
This felt so different from being affectionately licked by Li Miao's lion cat. The cat's tongue had barbs, but the young man's tongue was soft and flexible.
When a cat licks her, she wants to rub its fluffy head. But what would she think if Zhan Yaoguang licked her?
Shu Fu didn't dare to investigate further. She quickly withdrew her hand and frantically pulled out a handkerchief to wipe her hands: "What are you doing?"
"What? What?" He looked at her, his eyes, which were usually long, now appeared rounder as he raised them, bright and sparkling, making him look innocent and pitiful.
"You, you're licking me..."
Zhan Yaoguang suddenly realized: "I didn't mean to... Do you think it's dirty?"
"But I used your tooth powder to rinse my mouth this morning, and I thought it smelled really nice, so I used it again before you came back. Now it's not dirty at all."
He even smiled at her, his teeth white and even.
Shufu: ...Is that where the problem lies?
She tried her best to explain patiently: "In the Dali era, a good man would not lick another woman's hand. That's something only a dissolute playboy who frequents Pingkang Lane would do."
"……oh."
Shu Fu thought he had taken her words to heart and was about to smile when he continued, "But I guess the good men of Dali wouldn't dress up girls. I think our relationship is closer than you described."
Upon hearing the word "closeness," Shu Fu felt as if she had drunk half a pot of sake and eaten a hundred or so lychees in an instant; her liver fire flared up, burning her lungs and internal organs.
"Zhan Yaoguang! Don't speak!" Shu Fu clutched her chest, thinking she needed to be quiet.
"I've been wandering around outside for most of the day, and I'm feeling a bit sleepy now. I'll take a nap here for a while."
Zhan Yaoguang wisely shut his mouth, arranged soft pillows for her, and then used the blanket he had used the night before to gently drape her waist. He then returned to her side and continued to massage the bruises on her ankles.
Shu Fu's violent heartbeat gradually calmed down, and the shock and sadness she felt on the first floor that morning also faded away.
She closed her eyes, nestled among the fragrant flowers, and drifted off to sleep. The sun shone brightly, a gentle breeze blew, and the spring day stretched long.
