0112 Shining Night (Part 5)
Zhan Yaoguang thought that someone like Liang Zhiyan, who often reflected on himself as a gentleman, would not actually do something like that in a street or alley.
But they waited for a long time, and the noise outside the car still hadn't subsided.
The boy frowned, then heard voices outside.
“Liang Lang, don’t call me Second Sister,” the head maid said, snuggling against Liang Zhiyan’s neck. “There are so many Second Sisters in Pingkang Lane. In the Northern Opera, there’s Gu Second Sister who does sword dancing, and in the Southern Opera, there’s Pei Second Sister who plays the pipa. If you only call one Second Sister, who will know that you’re calling me, Hu Second Sister?”
The beautiful woman's eyes were bright and sparkling, like two pools of water in the darkness, reaching straight to one's heart: "My name is Xingniang. If Liang Lang truly loves me, why doesn't he call me by my name?"
"The one I admire, I truly admire you..." Liang Zhiyan's heart melted at Hu Xingniang's gaze, his eyes dimmed, and he murmured in response.
He was exceptionally learned and talented among men his age, but he had a habit of losing his mind whenever he saw a beautiful woman.
In the past two days, he was captivated by Hu Xingniang's almond-shaped eyes, and when she scolded him playfully, he made all sorts of promises.
"My wife and I will be married by the latter half of this year at the latest. After we've gone through the six traditional wedding rites, I'll have someone deliver a betrothal letter to your madam and bring you back to our mansion..."
"Once you're inside, I'll love only you, and I won't even glance at anyone else..."
When feelings run deep, tender affection naturally follows. Inside the green-curtained carriage, Shu Fu, having sat motionless for a long time, felt a chill from the night. So, following the warmth, she moved closer to Zhan Yaoguang and placed her hands on his neck to absorb some warmth.
Zhan Yaoguang felt a chill on her neck, but didn't flinch. Instead, she reached out and pulled her into her arms. The two of them nestled close together, listening to the lewd sounds coming from outside.
The more outspoken and daring the words were, the more Shu Fu listened, the more her brows furrowed, and her impatience reached its peak.
Although she wasn't exactly a lady, she didn't consider herself a particularly wicked woman either. She usually treated people with a smile and had never felt such disgust for anyone.
Zhan Yaoguang was so jealous of the statement, "My wife and I will get married in the second half of this year at the latest," that he almost turned green with envy.
A marriage contract, a marriage contract, what a wonderful marriage contract!
How could the Central Plains have such a dreg of society, forcing people to be matched without regard to their wishes?
Just because of this marriage agreement, even though Liang Zhiyan was such a dissolute and immoral man, he still dared to boast that he would marry Afu, as if she were not a living person, but just an object without joy or sorrow, which he could choose to discard at will.
How absurd!
Zhan Yaoguang tightened his arm around her waist slightly, and with his other hand lifted the beaded red sash around her waist, hooking it around his fingertips twice.
“Ah Fu,” he called her softly, “how could he talk like that? So rude, so ill-mannered!”
His sentence was originally delivered in a flat tone, but he couldn't help but let the last syllable rise slightly, revealing the subtle provocation and malice within.
He was no objective and upright gentleman; he would be happy if he could persuade Shu Fu to dislike Liang Zhiyan even more.
Zhan Yaoguang was directing and acting out a grand drama in her mind, but Shu Fu didn't hear a word of it.
She kept her head down, seriously considering the matter of annulling the engagement—
She had written to her father long ago, but there had been no reply yet.
Although asking her father for a letter was undoubtedly the most convenient method, she couldn't rely on it entirely. If there was still no news after another fifteen days, she would need to prepare another plan.
Shu Fu quietly made up her mind, completely unaware that Zhan Yaoguang stretched out a slender finger and touched the corner of her lips.
"Why bite yourself?" he asked.
Shu Fu suddenly regained her senses and realized that she had been struggling and lingering here. Just as she was about to muster her strength and threaten Zhan Yaoguang to say "I didn't see anything", the boy suddenly lowered his head and kissed her lips.
Shu Fu suddenly opened her eyes, and a gust of wind broke through her vision, leaving her in a vast expanse of white. It was as if she could see nothing at all, except for a little bit of warm, wet moisture on her lips, which was still a trace of tenderness.
There are two ways to be affectionate with someone like Zhan Yaoguang. One is when he himself is so engrossed that he sucks and slurps with all his might, creating a surging, overwhelming wave; the other is the playful act of a young boy, like this gentle peck or light wetting, as if a cat were sticking out its bushy tail, it's just an itch.
"What are you doing? There are people outside—" Shu Fu was startled, her heart pounding, her ears turning red as she looked at him.
If someone else heard her, she would wish she were dead.
Zhan Yaoguang's bright eyes were fixed on her, and he said softly, "Then listen to what the people outside are doing?"
Shu Fu held her breath as he spoke, and sure enough, she heard a series of intermittent, heavy breaths.
The head of the group had been bumped somewhere, and his throat seemed to be drowning in a murmur of smoke, dripping and lingering.
"Liang Lang, don't... don't pinch me there, we're still outside..."
Shu Fu blinked slightly, a blush spreading across her face. She looked at Zhan Yaoguang with some surprise: "He...they're going to be here..."
"I don't know," the boy leaned closer, his voice low, "but if he can kiss others, then of course you can too..."
"Huh?" Shu Fu asked, puzzled.
"Afu, why don't you kiss someone else too?" he continued.
"What?"
Zhan Yaoguang's eyes were fixed on her, his voice carrying an inexplicable seductive tone: "What I mean is, do you want to try kissing me here?"
Just a wall away.
In front of your so-called fiancé.
