Upon hearing that the two of them had indeed come to find the treasure, Xunwu smiled and said, "In that case, I can help you two divine the exact location of the treasure."
Hearing this, Jiang Wuyuan was somewhat tempted, but Zhuang Yaoqing looked hesitant.
Jiang Wuyuan naturally noticed it.
"What's wrong?" he asked, turning his head to the side.
"Ahem. Young Master Jiang, have you ever heard of divination?" Zhuang Yaoqing turned to explain to him.
"I know Senior Zhuge."
"It seems you've seen it before." Zhuang Yaoqing didn't seem to care that there was an outsider listening. "Then do you know about the Heavenly Dao?"
Jiang Wuyuan nodded.
He had heard this word before from Nian Qingfeng.
"The art of divination is actually a way for talented people to connect with the Heavenly Dao through a special means, and receive answers from the Heavenly Dao. Of course, this method is not free, so most people who can tell fortunes have three deficiencies and five shortcomings," Zhuang Yaoqing continued. "However, there is no Heavenly Dao in this secret realm."
Jiang Wuyuan suddenly realized.
"But I once saw Senior Zhuge telling fortunes in the secret realm?"
"That also connects to the Heavenly Dao of our real world." Zhuang Yaoqing shrugged. "This Young Master Xun has been dead for millions of years."
He is neither the real person nor a remnant soul, but merely a simple projection.
Although it's unclear why this projection possesses intelligence, that doesn't change the fact that it cannot connect to the Heavenly Dao.
Jiang Wuyuan remained noncommittal.
Xunwu, however, looked at them blankly and asked, "Gentlemen, why can't I hear your voices?"
It seems that discussing things beyond the understanding of the secret realm has a built-in shielding effect.
Zhuang Yaoqing chuckled and brushed it off: "Haha, I didn't say anything. Well, no need for divination, we believe more in fate."
Xunwu did not persist.
In his eyes, everything in the world is predetermined, so there is no need to force anything.
To sum it up in a metaphysical way—what's yours will always be yours, and what's not yours is useless to force.
Jiang Wuyuan and Zhuang Yaoqing didn't plan to travel at night, and Xun Wu didn't seem to have any intention of leaving either, so Zhuang Yaoqing started chatting with him: "Young Master Xun, how did you get caught by those people just now?"
"I was traveling and passed through Chunfang City."
There's a place in Spring City where quests are posted called Guangyue Tower. I had nothing to do, so I decided to take on a quest.
Then I saw a task list that said, "Recruiting a disciple of the Heavenly Mystery Sect."
Seeing that the conditions were suitable, I went to the mission location to look for the people, and that's how I ran into them.
Seeing that I possessed high cultivation, they used magical artifacts to bind me.
"Then why don't you run?" Zhuang Yaoqing asked, puzzled.
"I wanted to run away, but I was already bound by that magic weapon and had lost all my cultivation, so I was powerless to break free." Xunwu smiled. "Since I couldn't run away, I didn't force it. After all, everything in this world is predestined, just like how I was destined to meet the two young masters."
Jiang Wuyuan thought to himself, "That prop can actually control a peak Grandmaster. It must be extraordinary."
But this one doesn't seem very smart.
Or rather, single-minded?
“Young masters, if you don’t need my help with divination, then you need me to do something for you.” Xunwu said with a smile, “We disciples of the Heavenly Mystery Sect cannot owe favors, so we should repay them on the spot.”
"What kind of explanation is this?"
"The causes and effects in this world are layered and unfathomable; one can only try one's best to escape them."
Those who practice fortune-telling often suffer from the same three deficiencies and five shortcomings themselves. To avoid implicating innocent people, minimizing karmic consequences is the most convenient approach.
Upon hearing this, Jiang Wuyuan pictured Zhuge Wangran's face.
I wonder what this senior student exchanged with the Heavenly Dao.
Zhuang Yaoqing waved his hand: "Hey, you probably won't even be able to find your ashes now, so why would you care about the three deficiencies and five lacks?"
Xunwu tilted her head in confusion: "Young Master Zhuang, I can't hear what you're saying."
Zhuang Yaoqing realized he had misspoke: "Why don't you still help us with a divination? Whether you can get the answer or not, you won't owe us anything."
Jiang, who was standing to the side, was already glaring at him with disdain. They couldn't leave this little idiot with them.
Xunwu nodded, not asking why Zhuang Yaoqing had suddenly changed his mind. He sat down cross-legged, took out a roulette wheel from the small cloth bag he carried, and placed it on the ground.
There are many different ways to perform divination.
But the principle is the same: it's all about connecting to the Heavenly Way.
Jiang Wuyuan could only see Xun Wu sitting on the ground muttering some strange characters, but he couldn't hear what he was saying.
Suddenly, a beam of light descended from the sky.
It was nighttime, yet it felt like sunshine.
Xunwu opened his eyes, a glimmer of light in them vanishing in an instant.
"My goodness, could it be that he has really connected with the Heavenly Dao?"
"This is impossible!" Zhuang Yaoqing looked up in astonishment at the scene.
The light dissipated the next second, and Xunwu raised her head, her expression revealing confusion and disappointment: "I'm sorry, gentlemen, I didn't divine anything."
It was a false alarm. Zhuang Yaoqing patted his chest and said, "Thank goodness, otherwise I would have really thought you were going to come back to life."
Jiang Wuyuan's eyes showed a speechless expression.
It seems that since he started traveling with Zhuang Yaoqing, he has been speechless more often.
"It's alright, Young Master Xun, you should leave quickly." Zhuang Yaoqing waved his hand dismissively. "We saved you, and you told our fortunes; we're even now."
Let's have a drink together again sometime!
