The next morning, Jiang Wuyuan's biological clock woke him up on time.
Seeing that it was still early, he first went to the training room in the villa to practice for a while before getting ready to head to the hunting group's recruitment site.
Today was probably the busiest day in front of the Mission Pavilion. Hundreds of banners were hung up, and a constant stream of noisy crowds made Jiang Wuyuan feel strange—it was like a large-scale matchmaking event.
"Junior Brother Jiang, we meet again." A gentle voice sounded behind Jiang Wuyuan.
Jiang Wuyuan turned around and met Ruan Kongyin's clear eyes: "Senior Ruan."
"I knew you'd come today." Ruan Kongyin walked to Jiang Wuyuan's side. "Want to take a stroll together?"
Jiang Wuyuan remained noncommittal: "Don't you need to recruit people for your hunting party?"
“Shengzi is watching over there, so there shouldn’t be any need for me to participate for the time being,” Ruan Kongyin said with a smile. “I can introduce you to the hunting group here.”
Jiang Wuyuan had no reason to refuse, so he nodded in agreement.
"The Eternal Day Hunting Group. They have a good reputation, a high mission completion rate, and most importantly—a low mortality rate, so they are very popular with students." Passing by a stall, Ruan Kongyin introduced, "The leader of the Eternal Day Hunting Group is Qin Chang'an, a good friend of mine. Hmm, he told me yesterday that he saw you at the Burning Blood Tower."
Jiang Wuyuan thought for a moment, but couldn't recall anything.
There were many people on the sixth floor yesterday, and he wasn't in the mood to negotiate, so he didn't pay any attention to who was in the lobby at the time.
Seeing Jiang Wuyuan's somewhat bewildered expression, Ruan Kongyin laughed and said, "Qin Chang'an is a second-year student in the Warrior Department. He is quite strong and upright. If you have the chance, you can get to know each other."
“Okay.” Although he wasn’t interested, Jiang Wuyuan didn’t openly refuse Ruan Kongyin’s offer.
Ruan Kongyin did not introduce any of the weaker hunting groups she passed.
It wasn't that he looked down on these hunting groups, but with Jiang Wuyuan's talent, he shouldn't have fallen to this state. Those small hunting groups wouldn't provide Jiang Wuyuan with any significant help.
"The Mad Lion Hunting Group is very strong. To join them, you have to submit 1,000 credits, which basically excludes the weak." Ruan Kongyin said calmly, clearly disliking the hunting group, but he didn't want his thoughts to influence Jiang Wuyuan's decision.
Although the Mad Lion Hunting Gang has an unremarkable style, they are indeed very powerful.
Jiang Wuyuan didn't offer any opinion. He had many hunting groups to choose from, so there was no need to put all his eggs in one basket.
After wandering around for a while, the two finally arrived at the Dawn Hunting Group's recruitment booth, where the red banner looked particularly festive.
Yan Shengzi, dressed in a purple combat uniform, stood to the side, looking graceful and heroic.
Jiang Wuyuan merely glanced at her briefly before looking away; he still vividly remembered how Yan Shengzi had teased him last time.
"Let me introduce you to the Dawn Hunting Group. And I, Ruan Kongyin, am their leader." Ruan Kongyin smiled and winked at Jiang Wuyuan. "Although we were established relatively late, we are now among the top five hunting groups."
Yan Shengzi spotted the two people talking in the crowd, her eyes lit up slightly, and she walked over with a smile.
"Junior Brother Jiang~" Yan Shengzi smiled and waved to Jiang Wuyuan, "I didn't expect you to be granted permission to join the hunting team right after entering university. You're really amazing."
The value of this qualification is self-evident.
"Senior Sister Yan." Although he wanted to run away, Jiang Wuyuan still greeted her politely.
"Hey, what's with that weird look on your face, like a mouse seeing a cat?" Yan Shengzi snorted in dissatisfaction. "What, are you that scared of me?"
"I wouldn't dare." Jiang Wuyuan took a step back and hid behind Ruan Kongyin. "Senior Ruan, shall we continue?"
"Of course." Ruan Kongyin readily stepped in front of Jiang Wuyuan, while giving Yan Shengzi a wink, signaling her not to be too presumptuous.
If Jiang Wuyuan ultimately doesn't choose the Dawn Hunting Group because of Yan Shengzi's meddling, then he'll truly be devastated—any other reason will do.
Ruan Kongyin led Jiang Wuyuan away, ignoring Yan Shengzi's resentful gaze behind them.
The introduction of the hunting party is still ongoing.
"The Scarlet Bamboo Hunting Group is one of the few hunting groups formed by girls, and it is very strong, ranking among the top ten hunting groups."
"The Eagle Hunting Group is a team mainly composed of mages who like to bombard everything in sight; their firepower is indeed very strong."
"The Shadow Hunting Group is almost entirely composed of assassination experts, so it has a unique nickname—Abyss Assassins." Ruan Kongyin found this hunting group very interesting. "Their leader is named Ye Lang. He's cool, doesn't talk much, and has a pretty good personality. Oh, by the way, I remember there's another young master in the main branch of the Ye family, Ye Sheng? I think that's his name. He should be about your age and took the college entrance exam this year."
Jiang Wuyuan had an impression of Ye Sheng because of Ye Sheng's concealment techniques that almost completely blocked his senses.
“Ye Sheng, I’ve met him before,” Jiang Wuyuan confirmed. “In the final round of the college entrance examination.”
"Oh? So you two have fought?"
"Yes, he lost." Jiang Wuyuan didn't hide anything.
"Your perception must be excellent. The entire Ye family are almost all assassin-type warriors; they have unique methods for concealing themselves," Ruan Kongyin commented objectively.
Jiang Wuyuan nodded in agreement with Ruan Kongyin's words, after all, he had experienced it firsthand.
Time flew by, and the two had reached the end of their journey.
After giving his introduction, Ruan Kongyin had no intention of following Jiang Wuyuan any further. He understood that continuing to follow Jiang Wuyuan might influence his choices, so he took his leave at the appropriate time.
