Chapter 202 You have the breath of the devil

Chen Kuang himself did not know much about Buddhism, so naturally he had never heard of this statement.

But once, when Huo Hengxuan was in the Heavenly Prison, in order to help him quickly understand the two techniques, he passed on many of his own cultivation experiences to him.

Among these experiences were the Buddhist teachings he learned while practicing at the Galan Monastery.

Among them is a story, or a prophecy, that "the Dharma will end and the way of heaven will be destroyed, and Mara will destroy the Tathagata."

Mara, also known as the heavenly demon Mara, is said to be a powerful demon king in the ancient desire world.

Xiuzhu pointed to the Bodhi tree and said:

"The Buddha practiced under this tree for 49 years, saving all sentient beings. When he was about to enter Nirvana, he met Mara, with whom he had fought many battles."

"Mana said to him: After you attain Nirvana, I will destroy your Dharma."

"The Buddha said: My Dharma is the true Dharma, you cannot destroy it."

"Bo Xun sneered: When you were alive, everyone believed in you and was disciplined and restrained. Naturally, I couldn't destroy your Dharma. But after you pass away, human nature is evil. Without restraint, people will let themselves go. The number of people who believe in you will decrease, so I can destroy it."

"The Buddha said: The Buddha's light shines everywhere, and the good heart in the world will never be extinguished."

"Mana said: 'The sage has no permanent mind, but takes the mind of the people as his own. Mara also has no permanent mind, but takes the mind of the people as his own. You use precepts to restrain people and tell them to stay away from greed, while I follow people's desires and satisfy them. How can you compare to me?'"

Xiuzhu stood under the Bodhi tree, wearing a snow-white monk's robe, just like the Buddha who attained enlightenment here.

But what he told was a story about the death of Buddha.

Xiuzhu continued, "The Buddha said: I have left Buddhist scriptures for the world."

"Then Mara said: 'The scriptures are dead words. If you want to teach sentient beings, someone must explain them.'"

"The Buddha said: I have disciples who remain in the world."

Mara said: After a hundred generations, when the Dharma ends, I will ask my disciples to become your disciples, wear your robes, and destroy your Dharma.

"They will distort your scriptures and destroy your precepts to achieve what I cannot achieve with force."

Xiuzhu smiled and said, "When the Buddha heard this, he was silent for a long time, and finally shed two lines of tears."

"Mana immediately realized that the Buddha was powerless to do anything about it, and he left with wild laughter."

Chen Kuang looked at Xiuzhu and was silent for a while. He glanced at the Bodhi tree and said:

"So... you are Mara?"

This story is just like the current situation of the Pure Land. It is clear that even the three great Zen masters have been replaced by monsters, but they are still unaware.

How can this be considered a pure land? It has clearly become a devil's den!

I just don't know when these three great Zen masters started to become like this...

Xiuzhu sighed: "Unfortunately, I am not."

"I told you, I am Xiuzhu, a disciple of the Zhengzhu sect of the Galan Temple."

Chen Kuang could feel that he was telling the truth.

But if he and Xiuzhu were originally one, then this statement would naturally not be a lie.

Chen Kuang said: "Then what do you mean by saying this?"

Xiuzhu smiled that strange smile again and said, "Did you see it? The true appearance of the three great Zen masters."

Chen Kuang kept silent.

Since there have never been any strange rumors in the Galan Temple, and the many monks in the temple did not show any panic, it means that he might be the only one who noticed the abnormality.

After all, he still has the passive ability of "seeing through things like seeing through fire", and any false disguise is useless in front of him.

And if this is the case, let's assume that the entire temple is under the control of the saints.

If he expressed his opinion at this moment, he might be discovered by the three monsters.

Although Xiuzhu on the opposite side was so open for some reason, Chen Kuang didn't dare to bet whether he was trying to trick him.

Xiuzhu smiled and said, "Don't worry. If they could sense it, would I still be fine now?"

"Since three years ago, their spiritual consciousness has been unable to leave the meditation room, otherwise they would not be able to support their physical bodies. Since you have been released by them just now, it means that you have passed the trust test."

The truth.

Chen Kuang felt a little relieved.

Although he could not be sure whether what Xiuzhu knew was true or false, he believed that it was true, which meant that he was sincere in his conversation with Chen Kuang.

It seems that Xiuzhu is not in the same group with these three monsters.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have to help Chen Kuang hide the fact that he was not Lionheart Suzhi at all.

This pure land...the situation is becoming more and more complicated now.

Chen Kuang took a deep breath and said:

"That is to say, they believe that I am a man of lion-heart and wisdom..."

"Quite the contrary."

Xiuzhu said: "They think you are not Lionheart."

Huh? Chen Kuang stared.

I thought it wasn't true, so why did I believe him?

Xiuzhu asked, "Do you know the word 'demon'?"

Chen Kuang: "Ye Man?"

Xiuzhu: "Yes and no."

He said in a tone that was both nostalgic and disdainful: "The Ye Man of today are nothing more than pawns under the 'Devil' throne, a bunch of scum who believe in the 'Devil'."

"A true 'demon' is like the demon king Mara, or... the barbarian god Rudra."

Xiuzhu looked at Chen Kuang with a meaningful look.

He used the Central Region dialect, but Chen Kuang miraculously matched it to the word he had heard from the people in the Western Region before.

No, he recalled that word again... Chen Kuang quickly calmed his mind and stopped himself from thinking about it again.

He immediately understood that this might be the special feature of real demons. Their names, or their real names pronounced in that strange language, might make them feel something.
