Chapter 197: The Three Pure Land Zen Masters, the Civet Cat Substituted for the Prince

If it were the most powerful Zhou Kingdom, Chen Kuang believed that its power would probably far exceed that of a saint.

What's more, this time there is no "Dao Heart" for Chen Kuang to break.

Lu Zhexuan has just been promoted to Dao'an, and protecting the Chen family is already his limit. Chen Kuang must find another way to ensure his own safety.

With the passive effect of "heart for heart", as long as Chen Kuang is not dead, Lu Zhexuan will not die.

But there is actually one more thing that Chen Kuang is most worried about.

The Emperor of Yang State was not shrewd enough. After realizing that he had been tricked by Chen Kuang, he might give up in the face of such a situation.

In other words, the news that Chen Kuang had swallowed the elixir of immortality was directly revealed.

At that time, Chen Kuang will become the flesh of Tang Monk coveted by all practitioners in the world.

Faced with the temptation of immortality, even the practitioners who were previously friendly to Chen Kuang might become enemies.

The second is to complete Huo Hengxuan's last instructions before his soul dissipated.

Although Huo Hengxuan had schemed against him a lot, he also helped him a lot. He naturally couldn't go back on his word after he had already promised.

The sword that sweeps away the entire army must be shown to just one person.

Third, it is to provide a legitimate origin for one’s own skills.

This was actually a trap set by Huo Hengxuan, in order to force him to go to Galan Temple. Otherwise, his secret practice of the top Buddhist skills would be a big handle, and he would be wanted by the Pure Land.

The two left the dilapidated temple and found themselves in a vast desert outside.

The dark yellow sand blew in my face, brushing my exposed cheeks and skin roughly and dryly, even bringing a hint of pain.

Chen Kuang was born in a water town in his past and present lives, and he felt a little uncomfortable for a while.

With his current level of cultivation, his physical condition will naturally not be affected by the external environment.

But he didn't know if it was due to psychological factors, but he even felt that the spiritual energy around him was about to dry up a bit...

I didn’t expect that...the Pure Land would be in the desert.

On the way, Chen Kuang took the opportunity to chat with Xiuzhu and got a lot of information out of the unsuspecting little monk.

Xiuzhu, the genius of the Pure Land, was indeed a man of innate wisdom. He wandered around as an orphan when he was young. Later, one snowy night, he took shelter in a dilapidated temple and accidentally discovered a relic in the broken Buddha statue.

As soon as he touched the relic, he fainted. When he woke up, he was taken back to the Pure Land by the monks of the Galan Temple.

But the strange thing is that he inherited the ability but not the memory, and he didn't even know which Buddhist relic he inherited.

Even the Galan Temple itself could not find out the owner of the relic. In the end, they could only search through the records in the temple and attributed it to a Buddhist disciple who had died unexpectedly while going out for training a long time ago.

After all, the relic is real, and the skills are real too.

The method of past wisdom is unique to the Pure Land and cannot be faked.

Furthermore, Xiuzhu was kind by nature and talented. The three great Zen masters of Pure Land, Buwen, Bujian and Buyan, also liked the child very much, so they let him stay and become a disciple of one of the disciples of Master Buwen.

These three great Zen masters are the three saints of the Pure Land.

That’s right, there are three saints in charge of the Pure Land of Immaculateness. This is the foundation of the Wanli Buddhist Kingdom. Although it is a worldly-friendly place and far away from the hustle and bustle, no one dares to underestimate it.

Before Lu Zhexuan became a saint, the four Xuanxuan realm masters of the Xuanshen Taoist sect and Lin Qingya, who was only in the Daoan realm, could only be considered to be barely on par with the Wujiu Pure Land.

Therefore, in fact, Xiuzhu can be regarded as a true disciple of the saint.

But there is a bigger problem with the Pure Land without any stain, which is that it does not care about things outside the Pure Land.

In their view, choosing to undergo trials and tribulations is the only way to practice. Even the Buddha had suffered the hardships of practice, so naturally, they, the Buddhist disciples, must follow suit.

Even if one dies outside, it is also a part of the training. However, once one dies, people must be sent out to retrieve the relics, and then outstanding disciples must be selected to practice the method of innate wisdom.

Of course, if the Buddhist disciple has already chosen a successor, the latter will naturally come to find the Pure Land of Buddhism and return to his roots.

This is what Chen Kuang has to do now.

Xiuzhu listened to the agreement between Chen Kuang and Huo Hengxuan and endured for a while, but finally couldn't suppress his curiosity and asked:

"Who exactly is it that he wants you to find?"

Chen Kuang said: "A woman."

Xiuzhu's eyes widened. "A woman? Looking for a woman in the Pure Land? Are you looking for a nun?"

There are almost no ordinary people living in the Buddhist country. Only the outer circle is inhabited by lay disciples who also devote themselves to worshiping Buddha. The further inward you go, the more Buddhist temples there are. A total of 999 temples have been built, and the Galan Temple is in the center.

It is these 999 temples, not just one monastery, that constitute the entire pure land.

However, Galan Temple is the place where Buddha attained enlightenment and ascended to heaven. Therefore, it is also a holy place in the eyes of monks in the remaining 998 temples, and its status is naturally the highest.

If what Chen Kuang said is true, Huo Hengxuan was a disciple of the Galan Temple, and when he was young, his activities should have been limited to the Galan Temple. Then, under normal circumstances, he should not have had contact with secular women.

Xiuzhu could only guess that the other party was a nun.

Chen Kuang shook his head: "No, he said it was a woman who was very good at swordsmanship and very beautiful."

Xiuzhu said "Oh", was silent for a while, and then asked:

"So this senior originally committed... Lust, Caution?"

Chen Kuang suddenly laughed: "No, it's the killing order."

Xiuzhu said "Oh" again, this time stretching out the tone a little.

Chen Kuang curled his lips and said, "I don't know what he's thinking at all. He has been in love with Bai Yueguang for more than forty years."

Huo Hengxuan, the old man, was taught swordsmanship by that woman. Later, he had a conflict with other disciples in the temple and accidentally killed someone. He then fled and became an abandoned disciple of the Galan Temple.
