Chapter 130 Compensation
Did nothing tonight.
Shen Congyu came out of the shower, her eyes a little sunken from sleepiness. Jiang Xilin was not in the bedroom, so she ignored him and fell asleep after applying skin care products.
In the middle of the night, she felt someone next to her. Without opening her eyes, she smelled the scent of Jiang Xilin and quickly fell asleep again.
When the alarm clock rang in the morning to get up for work, Shen Congyu didn't hear it at all. When she woke up and looked at it, it was almost eleven o'clock. She woke up suddenly and found that no one in the company was looking for her.

Shen Congyu fell silent.
Of course, she didn't want to agree with Jiang Xilin's words, but the facts were before her. She had no right to refuse what he asked her to do. She was not in a relationship with him.
She didn't speak, and Jiang Xilin didn't urge her. A suffocating silence spread between the two of them.
The only one affected was Chen Congyu.
"I know what happens to other women of my status," Chen Congyu said, "I was unlucky last night. I wanted it too much and drank too much, okay?"
"Are you unlucky? If it weren't inconvenient in the car, I really want to take a picture of what you did." Jiang Xilin teased bluntly, "Is there any woman of your status who gets drunk and throws a tantrum like you?"
Chen Congyu simply played dumb, since there was no evidence anyway.
Her tone withered, "Then I also lost wages."
"From what you said, you blame me for asking for leave for you without my permission."
He said this himself, and Shen Congyu didn't dare to say anything. He only said: "Even if I feel uncomfortable, I can still insist on going to work. How can your boss know the difficulties we workers are facing now?"
After saying this, Shen Congyu realized that she had talked too much with Jiang Xilin and was afraid that he would say she had no self-awareness. She was about to hang up the phone, but she heard Jiang Xilin ask, "Do you still want me to compensate you?"
Just like the sentence above, Shen Congyu seized the opportunity and said, “You said these words, but I didn’t say them.”
She tried to guess what Jiang Xilin was thinking. He actually asked for leave for her this morning. Was it because he felt guilty after seeing that she drank too much with Mr. Yang last night?
Chen Congyu asked tentatively: "Can I really ask for compensation? After all, I was delayed because I accompanied you out during my break."
Jiang Xilin let out a short laugh.
Without being able to hear any emotion, he asked her, "What do you want?"
"I don't have anything I want right now. If what you said is true, I'll tell you when I think of it."
There were three knocks on the door from the phone. Someone from Jiang Xilin's side was looking for him, and the noise just covered up his response.

She chased after him and said, "Since you agreed, I'm sorry to disturb your work. Bye."
Then, without giving Jiang Xilin a chance to regret, he hung up the phone.
Shen Congyu waited for a few more minutes. Jiang Xilin said nothing, so she felt relieved and got up to wash up.
After drinking so much and not eating until noon, Shen Congyu felt uncomfortable in her stomach and had a slight headache. She went to work at the magazine in the afternoon, enduring the discomfort and handling her work.
When I went to the tea room to make coffee, I heard a commotion outside. Shen Congyu and his colleagues went out to see what was happening. There were quite a few people gathered at the elevator entrance, and one of them was a man shouting.
The colleague next to Chen Congyu said, "Isn't this man the team leader's husband? Why is he arguing here?"

The moment they saw the team leader fall, Shen Congyu and her colleagues screamed at the same time, not for any other reason, but because the team leader was five months pregnant and the man had deliberately pushed her hard.
The onlookers immediately rushed forward to stop the man after he took action, but no one expected that he would attack his pregnant wife, so they were still a step too late.
The security guard came up, and the director took his men away and ordered someone to call an ambulance.
While waiting for the ambulance to arrive, Chen Congyu's team leader started bleeding. They all panicked, but there was nothing they could do. Time became extremely torturous as time passed.
Finally, two colleagues came out and went to the hospital with the ambulance. Shen Congyu washed his hands in the bathroom and his temples were swollen.
When she returned to her workstation, she saw the director communicating with the team leader's husband in the reception room.
Other colleagues who heard the whole thing came over and said, "The team leader hasn't slacked off at work since she got pregnant, but he's still not satisfied with having a wife like this. He even beats her for another woman. What a jerk this man is."

In the evening, Shen Congyu heard from his colleagues who accompanied him to the hospital that the team leader's child had not been saved and her mental state was also very bad.
They went to the hospital together to visit.
