Chapter 52

Chapter 52

Song Zhi kept asking questions but still couldn't get any words out of Qin Yu, so he had to give up regretfully.

Suddenly, the sound of a cell phone alarm was heard. Qin Yu looked at his phone. It was not his, and he did not set an alarm.

"Ah, I have to go out and work." Song Zhi turned on his cell phone.

"What kind of work?"

"You helped me find it before. I'm going to be late. I have to leave now. Goodbye, Qin Yu." Song Zhi waved his hand, then put on his schoolbag and left. His legs were shaking like a duck when he walked.

Qin Yu didn't know if it was his illusion or what, but Song Zhi didn't seem to be able to cling to anyone except in bed. For example, right now, he hadn't seen a single message on his phone in the past few days.

"Your girlfriend is so clingy. She calls you after just two hours of not seeing you." The person next to him said when he saw the boy replying the message.

"Oh, isn't tomorrow the weekend? She wants to go shopping." The boy said it with disgust, but in fact he was waving his phone around to show off for a long time and it took him a lot of twists and turns to reply to the message.

Qin Yu held the can in his hand, and when he exerted force, the can deflated a little. He picked up a towel and wiped the sweat off his face. "I have a game in a few days. I told the coach to arrange some training sessions tomorrow and the day after tomorrow."

"What time is this?"

"I'm not sure, I'm still waiting for notification." Qin Yu said calmly.

"Of course you can ask for leave. The coach is very easy to talk to. If you say you want to go spend time with your girlfriend, he has no reason to refuse."

"Unless he has no one to accompany him."

"Get lost..."

Qin Yu glanced at his phone again, still lingering on the last time Song Zhi asked him to return his clothes. They'd only discussed twenty things a week, at most, and a good half of them were about returning things. The family he'd arranged to tutor probably talked more than he did. Qin Yu lowered his eyelids to hide the look within. Calling them classmates was a stretch; calling them sex partners was more appropriate.

Qin Yu raised his head and drank the remaining ice soda.

"Have you rested well? Let's continue playing." A whistle sounded on the field, and the captain clapped his hands and shouted.

We played basketball until almost 11pm. "Brother Yu, do you want to go get some barbecue?" "Yeah, it's been a while. Come over, there's a really good place nearby."

Qin Yu had no interest in these things, but he didn't want to spoil other people's fun, so he said, "Let's go."

The barbecue restaurant was bustling with activity, and the skewers on the tables were swept clean. Qin Yu made an excuse not to drink, but in the end, he was the one who cleaned up the mess. He called a few taxis, stuffed them in, paid the bill, and took a taxi back.

Qin Yu packed some extra food. The taxi stopped at the gate of the community. He didn't rush in. Instead, he turned and went to the deep bushes next to him. An old female dog was lying on the ground feeding five or six puppies. He squatted down and opened the plastic bag. The aroma of food instantly attracted the dog's attention. He only took a little meat for fear that the seasoning would be too heavy, and the rest were dry steamed buns.

"Qin Yu!" Qin Yu looked up and saw Song Zhi holding a bag under the street light not far away.

"Why are you here?"

"I'm here to return your clothes." Song Zhi shook the bag in his hand, which also contained a convenience store bag filled with bread.

"Come over now?" Qin Yu stopped feeding the dog, turned on his phone to check the time, but found that the phone had run out of battery and turned off.

"Oh, this is the time I get off work at the convenience store in the evening. I sent you a message but you didn't reply. I guess you should be asleep." Song Zhi also squatted down to play with the dog. He took apart a sausage, broke it into pieces and threw it on the ground.

"Then why are you still here?"

"Aren't there security rooms downstairs in residential communities? We can just put them there. Don't high-end communities have them?" Song Zhi paused for a moment, confused.

“…Yes.” Indeed, just say it.

"What a skinny dog." Song Zhi was surprised. "Is this a stray dog?"

Qin Yu followed his gaze and said, "I guess so. Abandoned."

Song Zhi rummaged through his bag, took out some bread, and looked up at Qin Yu. "Can dogs eat bread?"

“It’s OK without too much filling.”

"Oh." Song Zhi took a few loaves of bread, unpacked them and put them on the ground.

The dog was a little afraid of strangers, but when it saw Song Zhi giving him sausages and bread, it bravely walked over tentatively. Seeing that the man had no ill intentions, it slowly relaxed, but its ears were still erect, and it would grab the puppy and run away at the slightest movement.

"It's too late now. It's not convenient to go back. Stay here with me." Qin Yu said.

Speaking of this, Song Zhi seemed to be interested, "I have an electric car!"

"I bought it a few days ago, it was half the price and it's almost brand new."

"It's very convenient to go home now. If you didn't get caught riding a bike with someone, I would let you ride in my car!"

Qin Yu suddenly didn't know what to say, "...then do you want to ride back?"

Song Zhi blinked, then immediately realized something, "Ah, I want to stay here and sleep with you!"

"Let's go." Song Zhi pulled Qin Yu's arm and walked away. "Goodbye, puppy."
