Chapter 7 The Pride of a Genius

Vina took out a piece of paper from her spatial bracelet. It contained a model of a mecha and intricate structural patterns, clearly a mecha blueprint.

"These are the blueprints for my mecha design. My father pointed out some errors in my design, including a fatal flaw."

"If you find me, I'll..."

Vina thought about it again.

"I'll buy this book and give it to you, and I'll pay for all the books you want to buy today!"

Mo Tianyun fell silent after hearing this.

Give me the blueprints.

Mo Tianyun reached out his hand.

Vina then handed over the blueprints.

Mo Tianyun began to study the blueprints intently as soon as he received them.

"You seem so engrossed in looking at it, are you perhaps awestruck by my meticulously designed blueprints?"

Seeing how intently Mo Tianyun was looking at it, Vina said to him.

"Your father seems to be saying this so casually because he doesn't want to discourage you."

"In my opinion, your drawing is full of flaws."

Mo Tianyun began pointing to the blueprints one by one.

"The biggest failure of this core design is that the mental connection pattern is not connected to the mecha parts that should be connected, but is connected to a lot of mecha parts that should not be connected."

"This slows down the reaction time of your entire mech, which is the most fatal weakness in combat."

Vina's expression froze.

"The power system is still using those antique gadgets from a hundred years ago."

Upon hearing this, Vina looked incredulous.

"The energy patterns are too monotonous. How much energy can these few patterns deliver? I'm really curious whether your mech can achieve a three-fold increase in combat power!"

As Vina watched Mo Tianyun recount his points one by one, she began to feel distressed.

"And here, here, here..."

"This is the champion of the so-called Genius Mecha Builder Competition?"

"The design they produced is not even as good as the one I designed five years ago."

Mo Tianyun calmly handed the blueprints back to Vina.

Vina stood there motionless, stunned.

Am I really that bad?

Vina's face was ashen.

"Who is this person? He can point out all the mistakes my father pointed out, and it seems... it seems even more detailed?"

Vina recalled her father's comments on the blueprint and realized that the boy, who was about the same age as her, had given a more detailed explanation than her father.

"Hello, I also need some books on mecha parts mechanics." Mo Tianyun turned to look at the sales assistant next to him.

The sales assistant quickly came to her senses and said, "Oh, okay, sir, this way."

I don't know what the sales assistant is thinking, but she's not as quick and efficient as she used to be.

Mo Tianyun then selected two books.

One of them is "The Complete Guide to the Design and Manufacturing of Mecha Parts".

The other book is "Advanced Mecha Melee Weapon Design".

In addition to "The Complete Guide to Advanced Mecha Manufacturing Technology", Mo Tianyun took a total of three books.

"Let's settle the bill."

Mo Tianyun said to the sales assistant.

"Okay sir, please come here to pay the bill."

The sales assistant led Mo Tianyun to a counter.

"Star Coins." The cashier handed Mo Tianyun a ticket.

Mo Tianyun took a look and realized it was indeed very expensive!

"The Complete Guide to Advanced Mech Manufacturing Technology" costs 6500 Star Coins.

"Complete Guide to Mech Parts Design and Manufacturing" 3500 Star Coins.

Advanced Mech Melee Weapon Design: 2500 Star Coins.

Just as Mo Tianyun was making the payment, Vina appeared.

"I admit my mecha-building skills are inferior to yours, and I mean what I say—I'll pay for these books!"

Mo Tianyun glanced at her, ignored her words, and then paid the money directly.

"What are you doing? I said I'd pay!"

Vina got angry.

“I, Mo Tianyun, do not accept charity from others. True geniuses never boast about how great they are, because they know they are not the best.”

Mo Tianyun also had his own pride.

He has been in the impoverished village for nearly five years.

Even during his most difficult times, he never accepted help from anyone.

People in the neighborhood always invite him to eat whenever they see him.

Because Mo Tianyun has been deterring the evildoers in the neighborhood for years, the neighbors all want to repay his kindness.

But he never once ate at someone else's house.

Mo Tianyun took the bag, which contained the books he had just bought.

Then, without looking back, he walked straight out the door.

The spirit of the miracle, witnessing this scene from the core of the miracle, revealed a breathtakingly beautiful, dreamlike smile that could eclipse the countless stars in the sky.

It's a pity that no one gets to appreciate this breathtakingly beautiful scenery.

Vina remained silently lost in thought in the bookstore.

"Mo Tianyun?"

Vina seemed to remember something.

"Mo Tianyun!"

Vina finally remembered.

"I actually ran into the legendary 'all-around genius' Mo Tianyun."

"It turns out he didn't give up; instead, he just became more reserved."

Vina stared blankly at the figure that walked further and further away.

"I wonder what those arrogant bastards will do when they find out?"

Vina suddenly remembered those few dim-sighted geniuses in her school when she was a child, who had always been overshadowed by Mo Tianyun.

Although Mo Tianyun no longer attends the school, his legend still circulates there.

It was completely dark.

The moon is exceptionally round and bright tonight, and countless stars are twinkling in the sky.

Mo Tianyun had just gone to the market and bought enough food, including 100 jin of high-grade beast meat, which cost him 10,000 star coins.

After having a hearty meal, Mo Tianyun, who had been starving for days, finally had his fill.

I also bought some low-level energy crystals to fully replenish the energy shield's energy.

There are also some delicious snacks, which are for Bill.

As soon as Mo Tianyun entered the slum village, the voice of the spirit of miracles rang in his mind.

"Mo Tianyun, someone is following you."

"It's the shopkeeper who traded the damaged combat mech core with you during the day."

Mo Tianyun paused, then resumed walking as before.

"Be careful, this person is stronger than you, he has already reached the initial stage of martial arts," the spirit of miracles reminded Mo Tianyun.

It seems I raised the price too much today.

Besides, I seem to be too young, making me an easy target.

Mo Tianyun thought to himself.

However, it would be difficult if the opponent's strength reached the initial stage of martial arts.

Mo Tianyun walked into a dark alley.

He then took out a lightsaber, but did not activate its power.

A man in black quietly followed them inside.

Just as the man in black entered the dark alley...

With a "whoosh," a sword light was about to strike the man in black.

However, the man in black reacted very quickly. He dodged the sword that was meant to split his head open, but the laser sword still struck him.

The lightsaber left a long, bloody gash on the man in black.

Then the lightsaber stabbed back.

The black man jumped back, dodging the sword.

However, the man in black was seriously injured.

"Damn brat, you dare to launch a sneak attack!"

The man in black also pulled out a lightsaber.

Prepare to strike decisively.

The two sides clashed again, and after several exchanges, neither could gain the upper hand.

"He actually blocked it, good lad. Looks like I'll have to show my true skills."

The man in black was surprised that Mo Tianyun was so young yet so strong.

The man in black gripped his laser sword tightly and charged at Mo Tianyun once again.

Mo Tianyun's hands went numb.

"Such great strength, it seems we can't fight it head-on."
