Chapter 7 The rich one is not Gu Yanchen.
There was no one guarding outside the yard, but there were two guards standing at the door of the house in the middle of the yard.
Ran Qingxuan concluded that this was the warehouse she was looking for, but the problem now became how to lure away the guards.
After taking a quick look around, she quickly thought of a solution!
With a slight thought, she took out the drone from the Hummer, drew the dagger from her waist, cut off a large piece of clothes and tied it to the drone.
The propeller made a slight noise, and the black cloth tied underneath was instantly rustled by the wind as it flew out.
"Who?"
It was a quiet night, and the sound of clothes being blown by the wind was particularly abrupt. The guards in the yard soon noticed the black shadow that flashed by.
"Quick, there's an assassin!"
The drone rose higher, Ran Qingxuan put away the control handle and quietly walked out of the door.
Ancient locks may seem complicated, but they are actually very easy to open with the help of modern tools.
In less than a few seconds, Ran Qingxuan used the sharpest pair of tweezers in the medical box to pry open the lock.
While the guard was looking for the drone, Ran Qingxuan slipped into the room and closed the door.
Because the rain outside had just stopped, there was no light in the room. He could only vaguely make out various shelves, and Ran Qingxuan had to rely on his hands to carefully explore.
He touched the nearest shelf and found that the things on it were a bit uncomfortable. After a closer look, Ran Qingxuan discovered that the outline was a bit like an ancient headpiece.
In order to save time and avoid unnecessary trouble, she simply reached out and swept across the shelf, putting everything on it into the space.
Walking further forward, she felt something smooth and slippery in her hand. After confirming that it was cloth, she put all of it into the space.
With his feet blocked, Ran Qingxuan lowered his head and groped for two large boxes, then quietly opened the top one. The occasional moonlight from outside illuminated the entire room.
After seeing clearly what was in the box, Ran Qingxuan couldn't help but smile.
"Is he rich? I didn't expect Gu Yanchen to be so rich!"
The upper big box was filled with gold and silver, and the remaining box was filled with neatly stacked jewellery. The variety of jewellery was simply dizzying.
In order to prevent clues from being discovered during the house search tomorrow, she left some jewelry as a cover, and all the gold and silver ingots were stored in her space.
She had just closed the box when the guard who had been attracted by the drone and left to check came back.
"I think you must be dazzled. There is no assassin outside!"
"How is that possible? I clearly heard a sound from the roof."
"Don't be suspicious so late at night. It might just be a bird flapping its wings."
Before the two guards reached the door, Ran Qingxuan took out the drone control handle from the space again and skillfully controlled the drone hovering above the yard.
The guard, who had just stepped onto the stairs, heard a whistling sound behind him. He turned around and saw a black shadow quickly disappearing at the gate of the yard.
"There really is an assassin!"
"I told you there was one and you didn't believe me. Go get some help!"
The footsteps disappeared again, and Ran Qingxuan flashed out of the warehouse, not forgetting to hang the lock back on and lock it before leaving.
The guard who was hiding in a big tree outside the yard was a little annoyed after being sneaked back.
"How come it disappeared in the blink of an eye? Did you see clearly whether it was an assassin?"
"Not sure, how about we go and report it?"
Seeing one of the guards walk to the warehouse door to check, Ran Qingxuan also became nervous.
"It's better not to go. Although the prince is getting married today, it's better for us not to go and bring bad luck. As long as the warehouse is fine, it's fine."
Fortunately, the guards relaxed their vigilance after confirming that the warehouse was fine. Seeing this, Ran Qingxuan put away the drone, jumped lightly off the tree, and walked towards Tingyu Pavilion.
After confirming that Gu Yanchen was still in the study, Ran Qingxuan immediately slipped into the space and prepared to check what he had just gained.
I originally thought that there would be a lot of good things besides the gold and silver ingots, but in the end, apart from the box of gold and silver and half of the jewelry I took, there were only the first few coins that were put into the space at the beginning.
Besides the headgear, the rest of the shelf was filled with antiques, calligraphy and paintings. She just flipped through them and thought they were not enough to boil a pot of water.
Fortunately, there is still a lot of food in the warehouse, including refined grains, coarse grains, flour and so on. If they are allowed to cook their own food during exile, it might come in handy.
Squatting beside the car, Ran Qingxuan looked at the antique calligraphy and paintings that were useless to her, flipped through them, and pulled out an imperial edict from them.
"A reward of 1,000 taels of gold... 10,000 taels of silver... valuable antiques... some calligraphy or painting... a reward..."
After taking a general look, Ran Qingxuan finally understood.
After all this time, it turns out that these things were rewards from the Emperor of Northern Qi. No wonder there were so many gold, silver and treasures.
After thinking about it, Ran Qingxuan sneered disdainfully, "Giving so much is just for show! When the house is confiscated, it will all go back to the national treasury..."
The Gu family has been loyal and honest for generations, but I didn't expect that apart from the emperor's reward, there were only some grain and cloth in the warehouse. Such an honest family was still feared by the emperor. God is simply blind!
etc...
Ran Qingxuan thought of something and his eyes suddenly lit up.
"Since the national treasury can produce so many good things, then..."
The more she thought about Ran Qingxuan, the more she couldn't sit still. She stood up suddenly, but she didn't expect that what greeted her was darkness.
After not eating for a long time and having just walked for a long time looking for the warehouse, Ran Qingxuan's physical strength had reached its limit.
She found some bread and water in the car. If she really wanted to go to the heavily guarded palace, she would probably need some hot food.
After leaving the space, Ran Qingxuan had just changed into gorgeous clothes when he heard hurried footsteps coming from outside.
Ran Qingxuan immediately opened the door and saw the man named Dahei beside Gu Yanchen walking in with his back to someone.
"Princess...Princess, please help take care of it first. I will go and get a doctor right away."
Ran Qingxuan called him and walked straight to the bedside to carefully observe Gu Yanchen's condition.
As soon as I got closer, a strong smell of blood hit me. A person was lying on the bed with his eyes closed, talking nonsense.
"Is your name Dahei?"
"Yes, I am the guard beside the prince. Why do you ask this, princess?"
"Please bring some more candles and place them by the bed for lighting. I..."
Ran Qingxuan was reaching out to the person on the bed when Gu Yanchen opened his eyes, his eyes full of vigilance.
"what you do?"
Hearing the weakness in his voice, Ran Qingxuan tried to pull his hand back.
I didn't expect that this man was almost dead, but he was still so strong.
He freed his other hand, pointed at the wound he had just sutured, and spoke casually.
"You seem quite curious, do you want to try it?"
Gu Yanchen's body stiffened when he heard this, and he let go of his hand after a slight hesitation.
He stared at Ran Qingxuan closely, with vigilance in his eyes from beginning to end.
"Why...are you helping me?"
Ran Qingxuan looked at Gu Yanchen seriously and said something that he had not expected.
