The sounds of battle rose from the walls of Xiping Pass, thick smoke billowed, and the garrison of Xiping Pass and the army of the Fifth Prince were engaged in fierce fighting.
Su Wan stayed quietly inside the house, listening intently to the sounds outside.
As the enemy was about to attack the city, Wei Jingzhuo told her to leave the city wall immediately. She didn't think much of it and wanted to stay and see what an ancient siege battle was like. Meng Ruliu didn't care about anything else, picked her up like a chick, and carried her down the city wall to a house far away from it.
After listening for a while, she became somewhat frightened and said to Meng Ruliu in front of her, "Sister-in-law, is the rain of arrows fired by the enemy really able to block out the sun?"
Meng Ruliu had already removed her armor and was sitting in a chair eating an apple, her legs crossed and propped up on the edge of the table.
