Chapter 269 The Method to Kill the White Walkers

Jiang Shan stopped Su Wan from opening the door to the forging room, which surprised Su Wan greatly.

"Jiang Shan, what are you thinking?" She shook off Jiang Shan's hand. "There are still many people inside, move aside."

Inside were not only Chu Yi, but also Chu Mingyao and those candidate goddesses. If the door wasn't opened, they definitely wouldn't survive.

Jiang Shan stood between her and the switch, his massive body clad in black armor completely blocking the switch, making it impossible for her to reach it.

“Goddess, the patriarch has been locked in the forge. This is the best opportunity to kill him,” Jiang Shan said, pointing to a row of valves not far away. “There are special water outlets in the forge for extinguishing fires. If you open them to the maximum, the water will flood the entire room.”

After a pause, Jiang Shan said, "The patriarch is now unable to stop him, but he still needs to breathe to survive."

Upon hearing Jiang Shan's words, Su Wan immediately recalled the two words on the wall of the consultation room.

He needed to breathe. Jiang Yan's body was as hard as iron, and the only weapon capable of killing him was a defensive gun he carried. But he still possessed human characteristics, namely, the need to breathe air to survive.

The word "breath" that Jiang Yan wrote on the wall was a way to tell others how to kill him.

Jiang Shan's method is indeed effective.

But Chu Yi, Chu Mingyao, and several potential goddesses are still in the forging room. If the water floods the forging room, they will all die. She can't just stand by and watch them perish.

“But there are still people inside,” she said anxiously, pointing to the door. “They’re all still alive.”

The screams from inside carried a hint of despair, indicating that Chu Yi was nearing his limit. He had been starving for so many days, and his body was already weak. Having to constantly contend with Jiang Yan, his strength would soon be exhausted.

"What do you want? Open the door and let those people out?" Jiang Shan said. "The patriarch will come out soon. Neither you nor I will survive, and those who survived outside will also be killed. We've already lost many people. Now is the only chance to kill the patriarch, and you want to open the door?"

As he spoke, Jiang Shan turned around and raised his fist high to smash the switch.

Once the switch is broken, the door to the forging room will be locked, and the people inside will be doomed.

Without hesitation, Su Wan pulled out pepper spray and shouted, "Jiang Shan!"

Jiang Shan turned to her and said, "Goddess, wait for me to destroy..."

Before he could finish speaking, the red spray came flying at him. He quickly turned his head to dodge, but a little still got into his eyes.

Jiang Shan let out a scream, covered her face with her hands, bent over, coughed repeatedly with her mouth wide open, and tears streamed down her face.

Su Wan pressed the switch and said to Jiang Shan, "You'll be fine."

The doors to the forging room slid open, and she rushed inside.

The forging room was a mess, sweltering with heat, and pools of molten iron steamed. Fragments of the forge, overturned anvils, and broken bellows littered the floor. Chu Yi, panting heavily, faced off against Jiang Yan across the forge. Chu Mingyao stood on a higher platform with three girls.

Seeing the door open and Su Wan rush in, Chu Mingyao exclaimed, "Sister, run! That monster will kill you!"

Before Su Wan could answer, Jiang Yan knocked the forge away with a claw and pounced on Chu Yi.

Chu Yi was exhausted after dealing with Jiang Yan for so long. He managed to dodge to the side, but Jiang Yan's sharp claws tore a hole in his clothes at the waist, and he staggered and fell to the ground.

Jiang Yan rushed forward, raising her hand high. Chu Yi instinctively raised his arm to block.

Chu Mingyao screamed from the iron ladder, while the other girls covered their faces with their hands, too afraid to look. Jiang Yan's claws were sharper than steel knives; if he swung them down, Chu Yi would be dead for sure.

Su Wan quickly grabbed a glass from the apartment and threw it forcefully at Jiang Yan's back.

During the battle against Chu Kai at Yanxun Pass, Wei Jingzhuo had used a bow and arrow to lure Chu Kai away. She imitated him.

The glass shattered against Jiang Yan's back with a crash, breaking into countless shards.

Attracted by the sound, Jiang Yan ignored Chu Yi lying on the ground and turned to look at her, opening her two sharp claws and letting out a roar.

Su Wan turned to run out the door, but it was already closed. Pressing the switch had no effect, and in frustration, she pounded the door with her fist before running towards the forge on the other side.

Pretending to be dead in front of Jiang Yan won't work; he has to really fight for his life.

Outside the door, Jiang Shan smashed the door switch with a punch, then walked to the water valves and turned them on one by one.

Several survivors ran over armed. Seeing Jiang Shan's actions and hearing Su Wan's exclamation from inside, one of them said, "Manager, it seems the Goddess is inside. Shouldn't we protect her?"

Jiang Shan said sternly, "The Holy Land is completely destroyed, what's the point of caring about those laws? If we don't kill the patriarch, we'll all die here. How many people are still alive?"

The group exchanged bewildered glances. One of them said, "Supervisor, there are probably more than thirty people hiding in the East District, mainly the elderly and children. There should be more than a dozen in the West District as well, but I didn't count them carefully."

"Go and gather everyone together and evacuate the holy site," Jiang Shan said.

Another person said, "Supervisor, we're surrounded by floodwaters, we have nowhere to go."

"Everyone, go to the mountaintop to take refuge. Those who can wear black armor, put it on and go cut down trees to make rafts," Jiang Shan instructed. "We must escape from here as soon as possible."

After the others left, Jiang Shan looked at the tightly closed door of the forging room, hesitated for a moment, and then turned and left.

Inside the forging room, Su Wan was being chased by Jiang Yan, running for her life. After a few steps, she accidentally stepped into the molten iron, which was steaming hot. She quickly kicked off her shoe. The shoe was emitting blue smoke, and the sole instantly burned and burst into flames.
