Chapter 315 Found it! Found it!

"Think it over slowly, don't rush," she took a deep breath, closed her eyes to calm herself down, "Su Wan, think things through."

After calming down, she sorted out the known clues one by one, and the events gradually formed a picture in her mind.

Bai Zhiyi initially wanted to live a secluded life on the island, but she couldn't bear her longing for Wei Jingzhuo. She wrote a note for him, put it in a jar, and then rode a giant eagle back to the mainland. The eagle then followed her and Meng Ruliu all the way until they were rescued from the fire at Huishan Tongchan Temple.

She had planned everything out while she was on the island; the fire at Tongchan Temple was simply the opportune moment for her to take action.

That makes sense.

The eagle-controlling whistle must be on the giant eagle. There is only this possibility; there is absolutely no other possibility.

She opened the door and went to the giant eagle.

The giant eagle was sleeping. She took a tall stool, stood on it, tiptoed, and stretched out her arms to stroke the eagle's head. She ran her fingers through every feather. The eagle-taming whistle was a very small whistle. Perhaps Bai Zhiyi had tied the whistle to a feather.

The giant eagle seemed to feel a little uncomfortable and opened its eyes to look at her.

"Grandpa Eagle, don't worry about it. This is a free health check for seniors," she said, stroking the giant eagle's head. Then she planned to pry open the eagle's beak to take a look. "Come on, open your mouth and let the doctor check your oral cavity."

The giant eagle refused to open its beak, and with a shake of its head, it made her stumble and almost fall off the stool.

"Don't be angry, next is the wings."

Bai Zhiyi had plucked all the feathers off the giant eagle's neck, and no new ones had grown back. It was convenient, as she didn't have to check each feather individually; she could just touch it once and that would be enough.

She wasn't worried about angering the giant eagle, and forcefully lifted its wings with both hands. The giant eagle seemed not to understand what she was doing, and spread its wings, looking down at her. Like a fighter jet mechanic, she crawled under the wings, plucked the feathers one by one, and felt them with her hands.

After touching the left wing, she touched the right wing. Then she crawled under the giant eagle's belly to examine its abdominal feathers and claws.

They searched everywhere, but found nothing. The first light of dawn was already appearing in the east.

She stood up somewhat disappointedly, put her hands on her hips, and looked the giant eagle up and down.

Where else have we not checked?

"Oh, right, and the feathers on its rump." She went around behind the giant eagle and laboriously lifted its tail with both hands.

She ran her fingers over the tail feathers one by one, but still couldn't find it. She started to get anxious. Where on earth had Bai Zhiyi hidden the whistle?

"The dirtiest thing, the dirtiest thing..." she muttered to herself, then suddenly slapped her forehead. "I know."

She finally understood what Bai Zhiyi meant.

The giant eagle spent its days resting by the pond, leaving behind a lot of eagle droppings. In Bai Zhiyi's eyes, this was, of course, the dirtiest thing.

Suppressing her excitement, she took a small twig, squatted down, and began to sift through the eagle droppings.

Bai Zhiyi would definitely feel disgusted if she were here. But she didn't care. Eagle droppings have been a type of traditional Chinese medicine since ancient times, also known as "Eagle Strip White," and are used to treat sores and protect the skin. In reality, she was just rummaging through a pile of medicinal herbs.

After rummaging around for a while, her eyes lit up, and she finally carefully picked up a tubular object from the dried eagle droppings, grinning from ear to ear.

"Haha, the eagle whistle!" she exclaimed excitedly, jumping up and down with the whistle in hand. "Found it, found it, ahahaha!"

The giant eagle looked her up and down with a questioning gaze, seemingly not understanding why she was laughing so exaggeratedly.

"So unladylike, like a crazy woman. Luckily no one saw it, otherwise her disguise would have been exposed, hahaha."

After she had laughed and jumped enough, she pulled out an alcohol-based disinfectant wipe from the apartment, wiped the eagle whistle, and put it in her mouth to blow it.

I'm so excited, so thrilled, I can't wait to ride the giant eagle back to the mainland.

The hawk whistle did sound, but the tone was off, as if something was blocking it. Puzzled, she held up the whistle to examine it, assuming it was clogged with hawk droppings. The giant hawk seemed to agree that the whistle sounded strange, tilting its head and peering closer to look with her.

Upon closer inspection, I found a piece of paper stuffed inside the whistle; no wonder the sound was off.

She used tweezers to take the paper out. She unfolded it in the moonlight. It contained only one sentence: "Go find your Ajin."

"Thank you, thank you." Su Wan held the paper in both hands and kissed it.

Bai Zhiyi had no intention of leaving her on the island to die; she had already decided to leave the Eagle Whistle to her while they were still on the island. Even though it took her a lot of trouble to discover this secret.

As for why Bai Zhiyi insisted on having the giant eagle bring her to this island, perhaps it was at the behest of her family of divine healers, or perhaps she wanted a chance to get closer to Wei Jingzhuo. In any case, none of that mattered anymore. The most important thing was that with this, she could finally see her lover.

With a loud whistle, the giant eagle carried her into the sky.

“Take me to the capital quickly,” she said, wrapping her arms around the giant eagle’s neck. “Go as fast as you can.”
