On the other side of the battlefield, Zhang Ying was extremely excited. She hadn't left the laboratory for centuries, and now that she was out, she was witnessing a thrilling duel. Her only regret was that lightning flashed and thunder rumbled in the sky; a heavy rain was imminent, and the rain curtain might obscure her vision.
She excitedly asked Jiang Li, "Where's your military knife?"
Jiang Li slammed his fists together in front of his chest, producing a sound like metal clashing, and said, "Even with just my bare hands, I can tear him to shreds. I beg the Creator to step back and watch the battle, lest the debris from the battlefield harm your noble body."
As Zhang Ying retreated, she said, "Even if you're unarmed, he can't hurt you. Don't kill him right away, but torture him so that everyone who dares to defy me can see."
Jiang Li nodded and strode towards Wei Jingzhuo, who was standing in the open space.
As thunderclaps echoed in the sky, the occasional raindrops that had been falling earlier began to fall more frequently. The raindrops pattered against Wei Jingzhuo's silver-white shoulder armor, turning into countless tiny water trails that flowed down his arm, along the gleaming blade of his longsword, and finally into small streams that fell to the ground.
“Wei Jingzhuo,” Jiang Li stood opposite Wei Jingzhuo, her feet apart, fists clenched, glaring at him, “Before I met you, I always thought you would be some outstanding person.”
Wei Jingzhuo stood ramrod straight, his long sword pointing diagonally at the ground, and said coldly, "I am indeed a mortal."
Jiang Li stepped forward and roared, "How dare you, how dare you, how dare you, someone so weak, steal her heart?"
"I don't know what you're talking about."
Jiang Li grabbed the front of her clothes with both hands and tore them apart, revealing her upper body muscles that looked like they were cast in bronze and iron: "I'll show you now that no matter how beautiful your armor is or how sharp your weapon is, you are nothing."
He threw his torn clothes to the ground, let out a terrifying roar, and charged at Wei Jingzhuo with his fist raised.
Wei Jingzhuo was fearless and raised his sword to meet the attack: "I will also let you know that you cannot stop me from rescuing Awan."
A powerful bolt of lightning tore through the dark clouds, illuminating the entire battlefield and the two figures rushing closer and closer in the pouring rain.
