When the giant crab monster's left arm glowed with a strong green light, the Jin soldiers opposite it almost instinctively raised their arms to cover their eyes.
Under the dark sky, half of the giant crab's massive, silvery-white body, as large as a mountain, was illuminated by the green light from the muzzle of its gun.
Then everyone felt the ground beneath their feet tremble violently, a tremor even stronger than when the Cancer broke through Jinhua Mountain.
When the giant crab broke through the Jinhua Mountain, the Jin army was far away and could only feel the ground tremble. This tremor caused half of the soldiers to fall to the ground. Many warhorses were frightened and ran away uncontrollably.
Once the tremors subsided, Chu Yi opened his eyes and looked ahead, involuntarily gasping for breath, "This is too outrageous!"
Half a mile in front of the Jin army's formation, a huge crater, tens of feet in diameter, appeared, billowing thick smoke. The green light on the muzzle of the giant crab's left arm had disappeared, and the heavy rain splashed countless water droplets on the giant crab's back, converging into numerous streams that cascaded down the edges of the giant crab's body, forming dozens of waterfalls.
Wei Jingzhuo stood up and said, "It was the result of that monster shooting."
Chu Yi said, "Jinzhi, if it were aimed at our army formation, one shot could wipe us all out."
No wonder when Jiang Wenpei came to warn them, he said that the Creator could instantly annihilate the Jin army. The giant crab's two arms, which should be called cannons, could indeed wipe out the Jin army in an instant.
Not only could she destroy the Jin army, but if Zhang Ying wanted to, she could easily destroy the entire world.
“We have no chance against a monster like this.” Chu Yi gripped the scimitar at his waist and looked at the crab. “If it were a ghost, this scimitar could hurt it too. What are we going to do about such a massive monster?”
The giant crab's four metal legs stood like four enormous pillars before the shattered Jinhua Mountain, each pillar so large that it would take twenty people to encircle it. Its body was thirty feet off the ground; even if an army charged up, they could only inflict minor damage on the giant crab's limbs at most.
Zhang Ying's laughter came from directly above Cancer's body. It was unclear what power she used, but her voice was as loud and booming as thunder in rain clouds.
“Wei Jingzhuo, you see? I’ve been merciful enough,” Zhang Ying said with a smug laugh. “If I had killed you all with one shot, you wouldn’t even know how you died. So, the first shot was just to demonstrate its power.”
Wei Jingzhuo turned to look at the Jin army's massive formation. Almost every general and soldier's eyes were filled with fear; many trembled, needing to grip their weapons for support. Everyone was terrified by this colossal metal monster, especially by its devastating cannon fire.
The reason why everyone hadn't collapsed and fled on the spot was twofold: firstly, due to strict military discipline, and secondly, because everyone already knew that they were fighting monsters from the future.
The only thing I didn't expect was that things in the future world would be so terrifying.
Zhang Ying continued smugly, "Standing before you is a god. You ants, I'll give you three minutes to consider. Throw away your weapons, kneel down, and submit to me, and I might consider sparing your lives. Begin."
Upon hearing Zhang Ying's request, the Jin soldiers all looked at Wei Jingzhuo.
Just then, a girl's cry rang out from the edge of the Cancer's body, as if she was under tremendous pressure.
Chu Yi looked up at the source of the sound and exclaimed, "It's the General! She's still alive!"
Several Jin army generals also shouted in panic, "Look, the general is about to fall!"
Meng Ruliu stood on the edge of the Cancer's body, her back to everyone, her feet on a protrusion, her hands pushing against a crooked artificial mountain, struggling to support it with all her might.
She had just been hiding in front of the artificial hill and witnessed the terrifying scene of the Cancer bombarding the earth. But this time, the bombardment loosened the artificial hill, and it began to slide down. Fortunately, she reacted in time, turned around, and pushed the artificial hill back up.
The artificial mountain weighs several thousand kilograms, and even if it just slides sideways, she would need to use all her strength to stop it from sliding down.
She pushed the artificial hill in despair, thinking this was the last moment of her life.
Humans aren't monsters injected with secret medicine; their strength will eventually run out. The moment she lets go, the artificial hill will immediately push her off a height of thirty feet. She will first be smashed to pieces, and then crushed into a pulp by the falling hill.
What made her even more desperate was that she was on the body of the giant crab, thirty feet above the ground, and no one could come to her rescue. Although there were tens of thousands of soldiers below, they could only watch helplessly as she walked towards her death.
The most terrifying thing for a person is knowing that they are about to die and that there is nothing they can do to stop it.
The Jin army generals were at a loss. Some shouted, "General, hold on! Don't let go!" The others rode up to Wei Jingzhuo and asked in panic, "Your Majesty, what should we do?"
Anyone who isn't blind can see that there's no way to save Meng Ruliu unless a miracle happens.
“We can’t save her,” Wei Jingzhuo turned to his deputy and said, “Bring me my mount.”
Chu Yi exclaimed in shock, "Jinzhi, what are you doing?"
The deputy general, pale-faced, led Wei Jingzhuo's horse closer, and Wei Jingzhuo used his left hand to pull the saddle and mount the warhorse.
Chu Yi glanced sadly at Meng Ruliu, who was struggling to hold on, and said to the scimitar guards behind him, "Lead the horse."
"Your Majesty, you..."
"Stop talking nonsense."
Seeing that Chu Yi had also mounted his warhorse, Wei Jingzhuo extended his left hand to Chu Yi and said, "Actually, you don't need to come with me."
"Come on," Chu Yi reached out and grasped Wei Jingzhuo's hand. "Your right arm is broken, how can I just stand by and do nothing?"
