Chapter 325 Ambidextrous

The two walked hand in hand to the outside of the tent, where Chu Yi and the Jin army generals were waiting. Wei Jingzhuo said, "Once the General wakes up, you will act according to his instructions. The Empress and I will go to see the Creator."

Everyone was shocked and didn't know what to say. Chu Yi said, "Jinzhi, the Holy Land is now a den of dragons and tigers; we can't go there."

Wei Jingzhuo said, "My mind is made up."

The two arrived at an open space, and Su Wan blew her whistle to summon the giant eagle, which they then mounted.

Su Yuze ran out of the crowd crying, shouting, "Sister, don't go!" Chu Yi reached out and grabbed her.

Su Wan smiled at Su Yuze and said, "It's alright, my sister and brother-in-law will go and negotiate with that woman. She will leave this world soon."

“Sister is lying,” Su Yuze said, prying Chu Yi’s fingers apart. “That wicked woman wants to drain your life force. You’re going to die.”

The Jin army generals all knelt down in the rain, saying, "Your Majesty, Your Majesty the Empress, you must not go. Let's think of another way, maybe we can come up with a solution."

Chu Yi also became anxious and shouted, "Jinzhi, think it over carefully. If you go there, won't you become hostages?"

Seeing that the two wouldn't listen, he released Su Yuze and boldly stepped forward to try and grab the giant eagle's wing. The giant eagle couldn't tolerate a stranger getting close, and with a flap of its wing, it blew mud and water all over him, even getting water in his eyes, so he had to retreat and rub his eyes.

Su Wan hardened her heart, turned away from the crowd, blew a whistle, and the giant eagle carried her and Wei Jingzhuo into the air, flying towards the distant giant crab.

"Sister, sister, come back!" Su Yuze jumped up and down, crying loudly.

The group stood in the rain, staring blankly at the shadow of the giant eagle.

"My sworn sister! Where is my sworn sister?" With a panicked cry, Meng Ruliu rushed out of the tent. "Where is she?"

A general said, "General, His Majesty and the Empress have gone to that monster on a giant eagle."

"What?" Meng Ruliu's eyebrows shot up. "You people just stood here watching and didn't even stop them?"

The Jin army generals all lowered their heads in shame. The general who had responded earlier said, "His Majesty said it was his and the Empress's idea... If you, General, had woken up sooner, you could have stopped His Majesty."

Meng Ruliu rushed up to Chu Yi and said, "And you, you just watched them leave too?"

Chu Yi wiped his eyes clean. He didn't dare to look Meng Ruliu in the eye and turned his face away, saying, "I...I also tried to persuade her."

Before he could finish speaking, Meng Ruliu raised her hand and slapped him hard across the left cheek. Then, Meng Ruliu knelt in the rain, covered her face with her hands, and began to cry.

Chu Yi touched his burning left cheek and said, "Well... I actually tried to persuade him twice."

A soldier ran over and said, "Reporting, the Crown Princess of Xirong has arrived and is outside the camp."

Chu Yi was feeling embarrassed, but upon hearing this news, he felt as if he had been granted a pardon and quickly said, "General, don't cry, my third sister is here."

Meng Ruliu rose and ordered the soldiers to open the camp gates, and together with the generals, welcomed Chu Mingyao in.

Chu Mingyao led a troop of cavalry into the camp and said excitedly, "General, look what I brought! An armor-piercing spike that can pierce the bodies of ghosts and monsters."

Although the Western Rong army consisted entirely of cavalry, they couldn't travel quickly because they had to escort the crossbow carts. She was in a hurry to arrive, leaving Prince Danma to command the three armies while she and a troop of Western Rong cavalry rushed over day and night, bringing with them a batch of armor-piercing spikes.

Seeing Meng Ruliu crying, and Su Yuze crying too, and the Jin army generals all looking dejected, she felt a chill in her heart and asked, "What happened?"

Meng Ruliu sobbed as she recounted what had just happened.

Chu Mingyao was shocked and said, "Since ancient times, there has been a strict hierarchy between ruler and subject. As subjects, you certainly cannot offer advice. What is Seventh Brother doing?"

She turned her head and saw Chu Yi hiding in the crowd. She shouted, "Seventh Brother, come out here!"

Chu Yi had always been most afraid of his third sister, so he dared not stay out. He timidly approached Chu Mingyao and said with a smile, "Third sister, it's raining so hard, you must be very tired. Please go into the tent and rest."

Chu Mingyao asked with a stern face, "Seventh brother, what happened to your face?"

"The general was angry just now..."

Chu Mingyao raised her hand and slapped Chu Yi's right cheek again.

Chu Yi covered his face in grievance: "Third sister, I am, after all, the ruler of the Southern Chu Kingdom."

Even if you were the Heavenly King, I would still be your third sister.

"I know I was wrong."

Chu Mingyao ignored him and walked to Meng Ruliu's side, taking her hand and saying, "General, let's go into the tent together and think of a solution. According to the timeline, my sister has ten days left to live. Perhaps there will be a turning point. We must not give up easily."

Meng Ruliu followed her toward the tent, sobbing, "But I'm afraid it will be too late."

Chu Yi received a hard slap on each cheek. He covered his face with his hands and watched everyone enter the tent. No one greeted him, leaving him all alone in the same spot.

Meng Ruliu hit hard, while Chu Mingyao hit lightly, but both hit quite hard.

He looked around and saw Su Yuze still standing there wiping away tears, so he went up to her and said, "Yuze, don't cry. I will find a way to rescue your sister."

Su Yuze said, "I believe what His Majesty says, but both of your sisters slapped you, which shows that you are also a liar."

After saying that, Su Yuze ran away.

Chu Yi stood in the rain for a while when a guard with a curved sword sneaked up to him and said, "Your Majesty, why don't you go and apologize to the Third Princess?"

Chu Yi rolled his eyes at him and said, "What are you talking about? I am the emperor of a country, how could I lower myself to apologize to a woman? Select ten of the best scimitar guards."

The guard with the scimitar was taken aback and asked, "What does Your Majesty intend to do?"

“Let’s go check the gap in the monster’s right foot,” Chu Yi said in a low voice. “Don’t notify anyone, including my third sister.”
