Chapter 337 Head-on Blow

A chaotic cacophony of shouts echoed from the circular corridor inside the Cancer.

"You lot, stop right now."

“If you don’t stop now, you will not be treated as prisoners of war.”

Su Wan and the others rushed out from around the corner. Su Wan even sprinted at top speed, gripping the Resurrection Pendant as she rushed toward the entrance to the cloning pod.

She wanted to ask Jiang Wenpei, who had run alongside her, why those clone army soldiers had been released from the prison so quickly, but her chest felt tight and she was panting like a dog that had been chased for eight hundred meters, so she couldn't ask.

Just as he rushed to the door, a large group of clone army soldiers surged out from around the corner behind him, their combat boots making a crackling sound on the floor, like firecrackers.

She entered the password, opened the door, and rushed inside.

The empty space inside was where she had just encountered Jiang Wenpei.

“Here,” Jiang Wenpei said, passing by her and pointing to a recess next to the door ahead, “Quickly put the jade pendant in there.”

Su Wan rushed over and placed the jade pendant into the recess, and the metal door in front of her, which looked like a warehouse door, immediately rose slowly.

Before the door could be raised, she crouched down and rolled inside, shouting to the people outside, "Come in quickly!"

Wei Jingzhuo and Chu Yi also lay down, rolled around a few times, and went through the door. Jiang Wenpei took the Resurrection Pendant from the door, and the metal door, which had been rising, fell down again.

Meng Ruliu was kneeling below the door, supporting it with her shoulder, and called out to Jiang Wenpei, "Mr. Jiang."

Jiang Wenpei crawled on the ground, using both hands and feet to get inside the door. Seeing that Meng Ruliu was trapped under the door and unable to move, Su Wan quickly stepped forward, lifted the bottom edge of the metal door with both hands, and called out, "Ah Jin, Brother Chu."

Wei Jingzhuo and the others stepped forward to lift the door, and Meng Ruliu rolled inside. The heavy metal door slammed shut, shutting out the noisy shouts outside.

“They don’t have the jade pendant, so they can’t open it.” Jiang Wenpei got up from the ground and shook the Resurrection Pendant.

"Ha... Phew, that was... that was really thrilling." Su Wan held her knees with both hands, panting heavily, while Wei Jingzhuo gently patted her back.

She now finally understands why the country has always required teenagers to improve their physical fitness. The example before her is a living proof; even when facing an army from the future, being fast is absolutely essential.

Meng Ruliu and the others were in better physical condition than her; they only had to catch their breath for a few moments before they were fine.

"Sister-in-law, look! Is this a clone?" Meng Ruliu exclaimed.

Su Wan took two more breaths before raising her head to look at Meng Ruliu, who was holding onto the glass wall in amazement.

The entire room was semi-circular, surrounded by glass walls that stretched from the ceiling to the floor. Looking out through the glass walls, they appeared to be on a semi-circular platform about six stories above the ground. At the apex of the semi-circle, directly opposite the entrance, was a dashboard the size of a car, covered with various buttons and levers.

The huge screen that stood upright was somewhat similar to the life factor collection device she had seen before, with lines of symbols and codes that she did not recognize flashing on it.

She walked up to the glass wall and looked down, and couldn't help but exclaim in amazement.

Below the platform was a vast circular plaza, and their platform was suspended high in the center of this enormous circular space. The plaza below was densely packed with countless cylindrical glass containers, estimated to number in the thousands, connected by a complex network of pipes and cables laid out on the ground.

The glass container is about three meters tall and filled with a pale yellow liquid. Human shapes are vaguely visible within the liquid. The container emits a low humming sound, and various points of light flicker on its metal base.

The entire circular plaza looks like a giant flat honeycomb, with open metal doors at its edges.

Su Wan was mesmerized, and Wei Jingzhuo and Chu Yi, standing beside her, were equally astonished.

Chu Yi said, "These containers can actually create living people out of thin air, it's simply amazing."

Wei Jingzhuo said, "The future world is beyond our imagination; it truly is an eye-opener."

As they were talking, they heard the sound of water being drained from the plaza below. The water levels in all the cylindrical containers were dropping rapidly, revealing the men inside.

These were the clone army soldiers they had seen before, only they were not wearing clothes.

Wei Jingzhuo raised his hand to cover Su Wan's eyes and said, "Ah Wan, this is indecent."

Su Wan thought to herself, "That idiot A Jin, what's a thousand naked men? I've seen plenty of those during my internship."

Chu Yi, who was standing next to her, followed suit and raised his hand to cover Meng Ruliu's eyes.

However, before he could even open his mouth, Meng Ruliu slapped his hand away, turned her back to the square, and said, "Your Majesty, please have some self-respect."

Chu Yi rubbed the back of his hand, looking somewhat aggrieved, and said, "I meant well."

The clone soldiers who had just been born in the circular plaza slowly opened their eyes. Then, the circular glass container in which they were located was lowered, and the soldiers walked out.

One of the soldiers saw Su Wan and the others behind the glass wall of the platform above and pointed, saying, "Attention, there is an unauthorized intrusion."

A thousand clone army soldiers simultaneously raised their heads: "Kill the invaders and protect the clone core." After saying this, the soldiers split into several groups and surged toward the exits corresponding to the circular plaza.

Jiang Wenpei was startled and shouted to Su Wan, "Quickly shut this down! More soldiers have discovered us!"

Su Wan quickly ran to the control panel and saw a recess shaped like a resurrection pendant. She quickly put the resurrection pendant in.

The screen in front of me flickered, all the symbols disappeared, and a mechanical female voice said, "Welcome, what operation would you like to perform?"

Su Wan didn't know what to do, so she turned to Jiang Wenpei and asked, "Mr. Jiang, do you know how to do it?"
