Chapter 344 This World

Upon returning to the capital of Southern Chu, Su Wan did not celebrate the victory with everyone. Instead, she immediately directed her soldiers to clear the ruins and treat the people.

Before the crabs bombarded the city, Danma ordered most of his people to evacuate, but some who couldn't leave in time were buried under the rubble.

Whether the officer did it intentionally or simply forgot, he didn't ask for the first-aid spray back. Su Wan took the spray and carried out the wounded soldiers, spraying them one by one. No matter the injury, it would heal within minutes. The wounded soldiers received treatment simultaneously.

Both the army and the people were extremely grateful to her. When the Gui River breached its banks, it was the goddess who rode a giant eagle to freeze the river, saving countless people in Southern Chu. Now, the goddess is carrying a strange metal can, and whoever she sprays with is cured; she is truly a bodhisattva descended to earth to save those in distress.

Everyone revered Su Wan, but she herself felt somewhat guilty. If the clone army had been dealt with more quickly, the capital of Southern Chu could have been spared.

Chu Mingyao saw through her worries and advised, "Although the collapse of the capital city seems serious, most people escaped. Houses can be rebuilt, but lives cannot be regained. Every time you save someone, you are accumulating merit."

In Chu Mingyao's view, Su Wan's actions must have moved the heavens, which is why she was able to defeat the army with futuristic technology.

Chu Yi felt sorry for Su Wan when he saw her using the spray to save the people, and said, "This spray is so magical, don't use it on people with minor injuries. It would be a waste to use it all up."

Meng Ruliu curled her lip: "Stingy."

Su Wan also agreed. After spraying for a whole day, they had saved over a thousand people; 24th-century technology was truly amazing.

What if we run out of them?

She gritted her teeth, applied some foundation to her face, thickened it a bit, and went with Jiang Wenpei to Cancer to find the officer, intending to ask for another jar.

Inside and outside the Cancer area, there were many engineers dressed in orange uniforms, busy with strange instruments in their hands. The damage to the Cancer's leg had been repaired.

She found the officer in the crowd, who said, "This is standard equipment for soldiers; every soldier has one. The one I gave you earlier was mine."

Su Wan said, "Look, Zhang Ying is using mechs to attack the city, harming many civilians..."

The officer understood and took two more cans from the soldier, handing them to Su Wan: "Don't throw away the one I gave you. It's made with high technology. Those aerosols are actually nanorobots that will repair all human tissues. After the repair is complete, they will return to this container on their own."

"So you can't use it all?" Su Wan held the two spray cans with obvious delight.

"The energy will run out. It is powered by sunlight, so let it bask in the sun for a day and it can continue to work."

Su Wan was overjoyed. With these things, wouldn't all the diseases in the world be cured?

Not only her, but even Jiang Wenpei was full of praise, saying, "I never imagined that this small jar could actually save lives. It's much more powerful than the Creator's laboratory."

The officer chuckled, "It's a battlefield first-aid spray. It can only repair damage to human tissue; it can't cure diseases, not even a cold. When people get sick, they still need medical equipment."

Su Wan was initially disappointed, but then became happy again.

Nothing in this world is perfect. If this emergency spray could cure diseases, then her medical skills would be useless.

She returned to the capital of Southern Chu with the emergency spray and asked Jiang Wenpei to help her treat the wounded. After two more days of work, the wounded soldiers and civilians were all healed. The remaining post-disaster reconstruction was left to the craftsmen.

The war is over, and everyone is filled with hope and joy as they rebuild their homes.

On the fourth night, after dinner, Su Wan and Wei Jingzhuo took a walk on the city wall, with the three Chu siblings and Meng Ruliu following behind.

A soldier from the Great Jin Dynasty pointed into the distance and said, "Your Majesty, Your Majesty the Empress, look! That giant crab mech is glowing."

Everyone looked into the distance. The giant crab-shaped mech and the fighter jet next to it flashed a few times in white light and then vanished into thin air, as if they had never existed.

If it weren't for the distant collapse of Jinhua Mountain as a reminder, Su Wan would almost have thought it was a dream.

Regardless, the people and weapons from the future have all left, and the world is finally at peace. How wonderful!

She opened her arms, took a deep breath of the cool air, and felt a sense of comfort and happiness.

Chu Yi was accompanied by a historian, who was writing furiously with his pen.

Chu Yi glanced at him and asked, "What are you memorizing now?"

Su Wan curiously leaned over to take a look, and saw that the book said, "On December 10th, the four-legged deity and the golden bird returned to heaven."

Chu Yi said, "Why isn't 'I' mentioned? Didn't you add something about the emperor leading the people in battle?"

The historian tucked his pen behind his ear, turned the page, and pointed, saying, "I've already added it earlier. Your Majesty, please look at this page: The goddess led a three-nation coalition against the four-legged deity, stopping him at the last second..."

Chu Yi said, "It still doesn't say 'I'."

“There are many ahead. Look, isn’t this one? The Emperor ordered his guards to drag away a minister…”

"You bastard, you've been holding a grudge against me from beginning to end."

Chu Yun clapped her hands and laughed, "Third Sister, come and see! It turns out the historian recorded many of Seventh Brother's sins. No wonder Seventh Brother is angry."

Upon hearing this, Chu Mingyao and Meng Ruliu became interested and crowded over to take a look.

While everyone was making a ruckus, Su Wan pulled Wei Jingzhuo to a secluded spot.

The night sky was filled with twinkling stars, and the bright moon hung high in the sky. The bright moonlight shone on the two of them, draping them in a hazy white veil.

“Several hundred years from now,” she smiled, leaning against Wei Jingzhuo’s chest and looking up at her lover, “these records will probably become myths, won’t they?”
