Chapter 32 Once you've entered my door, you're mine.

Su Wan was quite surprised to hear his words; she sensed that Wei Jingzhuo was angry.

Wei Jingzhuo was indeed angry, but he didn't know why he was angry. He just felt bad when he heard that this woman wanted to leave him in the future.

A pair of deep eyes swirled with inexplicably complex emotions.

Su Wan looked at the man in front of her. He was wearing a moon-white long robe, and his ink-black hair was loosely tied with a wooden hairpin. Compared to his usual meticulousness, he now had a more gentle and refined air about him, like a young master from a noble family.

The premise is that he intentionally toned down his imposing aura.

At this moment, he abandoned his gentle demeanor, his deep eyes gazing at her, exuding the aura of a superior.

She knew that this was the real Wei Jingzhuo.

Indifferent and aloof, yet inspiring awe.

Su Wan didn't dare look at him, mainly because he was just too attractive.

Watching too much of this could lead to someone's death.

She looked away from the window. "I didn't say that. I just feel that this marriage is not what either of us wanted. Rather than this, it's better to settle things sooner rather than later. If you meet someone you like in the future, I can make way for you."

Upon hearing her words, Wei Jingzhuo's gaze suddenly turned cold, and he abruptly asked, "You don't mean you're still thinking about the Zhao family, do you?"

Su Wan couldn't help but want to roll her eyes at him.

"How could that be?" she said with a look of disgust. "I've never even met that person, and besides, I have no intention of becoming someone's stepmother."

Her words undoubtedly made Wei Jingzhuo, who had been looking unhappy, feel a little better.

Just thinking about the person she had mentioned liking, Wei Jingzhuo remained silent for a long time before his cool voice finally rang out, "The person you like?"

Su Wan thought he had finally realized the problem, but to her surprise, he said confidently, "No."

Then he looked deeply at Su Wan and added, "Perhaps."

The ambiguous answer left Su Wan wondering what he meant.

When I looked back at him, he had lowered his eyelids, intentionally concealing the complex emotions in his eyes that were not easily noticed, making it impossible to know what he was thinking.

Su Wan asked, looking puzzled, "What do you mean?"

Wei Jingzhuo did not reply to her, but said coldly, "What happened that day was because I was in a dangerous place and did not want to involve innocent people. Now they know that you have married me, and from now on we are one."

He was explaining to her why he had to send the person away that day.

But these things were not what she had imagined. In the few days they had spent together, although she didn't know much about him, she could tell that he was an honest person who would not take advantage of a woman.

She heard him say again, "As long as I am here, I will protect you. You don't need to worry."

Su Wan choked, realizing that wasn't what she meant, so she changed her approach: "Don't you think this marriage is a burden for you?"

"No," he answered without hesitation. "You don't need to think too much, I'll take care of everything."

He is not the kind of person who makes promises lightly, but if he does, he will keep them.

He promised to protect her, and he will not break his word.

But Su Wan didn't believe it, not because of Wei Jingzhuo himself, but because she didn't believe in human nature.

She didn't want to gamble on that uncertain future. "I just want your promise: once it's done, I'll be free."

Wei Jingzhuo's heart, which had just relaxed, tightened again. His sharp eyes were fixed on her, and his thin lips were pursed. It was clear that he was extremely displeased.

Su Wan didn't care about any of that. She continued, "You know my request isn't too high, and it won't affect you in any way. I just want some security."

Anyone would have agreed without hesitation after hearing her say that.

Wei Jingzhuo, however, was different. He would never easily change his mind once he made a promise, let alone someone who had entered his door—once they were his people!

He said coldly, "Everything is negotiable except for leaving."

After saying this, without giving Su Wan a chance to refute, he gently closed his eyes, looking as if he wanted to rest.

Su Wan didn't know why he was so fixated on this matter. She wanted to ask him more questions, but seeing his cold and indifferent expression, she knew he didn't want to say anything more, so she could only mutter under her breath, "I didn't expect you to be such a petty person."

Sensing her displeasure yet helplessness, Wei Jingzhuo's lips curled slightly. He glanced at her, then suddenly leaned closer, his voice clear and melodious, "Don't move."

She was taken aback, wondering why he had suddenly moved so close. She saw him reach out a slender, fair hand and gently stroke her cheek.

My heart suddenly started pounding, as if it were about to jump out of my chest.

If he really wants to kiss her, what should she do? Should she refuse or accept?

Although she had no feelings for Wei Jingzhuo, she couldn't help but admire his good looks; she had never seen anyone so handsome in her entire life.

Moreover, food and sex are human nature, and are fundamental human needs.

With such a gem right in front of her, she figured she might as well take advantage of it. After making up her mind, she slowly closed her eyes.

After waiting for a long time, the other person's lips did not fall.

Then I heard his deep voice.

“Don’t move,” he held out his fingertip to show her, which was covered in dark powder. “Your makeup is ruined.”

Suddenly, Su Wan felt a burning sensation on her face.

Oh my god, this is so embarrassing.

What was she thinking just now?

That's so embarrassing.

She almost forgot that in the morning she had just hastily applied a layer of dark foundation to her face to make herself look more like a refugee.

But she didn't forget that she had been cooking in the kitchen and busy with the potatoes outside all day, and her makeup was probably already ruined.
