Chapter 785: I'm Not Afraid of You
Yellow banners were hung everywhere in the aisles, walls, under the trees, on the rockery, in the corridors, and on the doors and windows. In the middle of the courtyard stood the tall Taiyi altar, on which stood the Sun and Moon flags, the Big Dipper flag, and the Ascending Dragon flag. Master Wei, wearing a seven-star crown and a green robe, stood on the altar holding a magic sword, looking at Gong Mengbi with both shock and anger.
"Demon Fox!"
Gong Mengbi looked around and saw that on both sides of the altar stood household soldiers wearing paper armor and holding weapons. These household soldiers stood with their eyes closed, weapons in hand. Their exposed skin was covered with talismans, and the paper armor was even more vividly painted with cinnabar with the symbols of the Sun and Moon, the Big Dipper, and the Ascending Dragon.
Gong Mengbi walked into the courtyard on the white sand. The night wind blew and the sky was covered with dark clouds, and the light of the stars and moon was invisible.
"You went to all this trouble, obviously you knew I was coming. Why?"
Master Wei said, "Mr. Cheng presented the treasure to the princess on her birthday, and he is already her future son-in-law. If the princess's friends saw this treasure, they would warn Mr. Cheng about possible retaliation. I am here to wait for you on the princess' orders."
