Chapter 808: Uncertain Fate
Not only Gong Mengbi and Xun Jijiu thought so, Su Siye also thought so.
Su Siye would never allow himself to let this go after suffering such a great humiliation and losing all face.
It was difficult to establish, but very easy to wipe out. Su Siye was from an aristocratic family, one of the leaders of the Sky Fox Court. With all these identities, he naturally had dignity, fear, and credibility.
But what happened today has destroyed his dignity, which is of no benefit to him or the Su family.
Su Siye returned to Tianhu Courtyard in anger. With his eyes bare, he paced around the room, filled with resentment. He knocked over all the valuable gold, silver and jade items in the room to the ground.
The servants serving him stood outside the door with their heads lowered, not daring to make any sound.
Su Siye vented his anger and shouted, "Prepare the carriage! I want to go to Shu!"
The servant did not dare to delay and immediately agreed and went to prepare the car.
But a step stopped him.
The servant looked up and saw two fox fairies wearing silver armor, with "You Su" tokens hanging from their waists. They were tall and thin, one male and one female, and wore visors.
The servant fell to his knees and said respectfully, "Welcome, Generals."
The two soldiers walked past him without saying hello and went straight into the room.
Su Siye heard the footsteps and cursed back, "What are you still doing here?"
When he turned around and saw the two soldiers, he slowly restrained the expression on his face and even suppressed the nameless anger in his heart.
"What are you doing here?"
"The mistress has ordered that Siye return to the clan's land."
"I'm not going back!"
The two soldiers took a step forward at the same time. The originally spacious room suddenly seemed cramped. The surging energy collided in the room, suppressing Su Siye's momentum bit by bit.
"Please don't make things difficult for us, Siye."
Su Siye's face flushed crimson as he cursed, "You two lackeys, you have all these abilities, yet you serve that woman like dogs. How despicable!"
The two soldiers didn't care at all. They walked to Su Siye from the left and right, and forced him to walk out of the room step by step. They soon disappeared in Tianhu Courtyard.
It only takes a moment to get from Tianhu Court to the Su clan's territory.
Two armored soldiers led Su Siye through the clouds in the mountains, through the towering pavilions and majestic platforms, into the heart of the Su clan's territory, and met the mistress of the Su clan in a side hall.
The whole hall was filled with incense smoke. There was an altar in the room, but there was no god on the altar, but a bronze mirror.
The bronze mirror is decorated with auspicious patterns of dragons and phoenixes, reflecting the light of the sky and flowing with a quiet divine light.
The mistress of the Su family looked like an ordinary woman, beautiful but not outstanding. But when Su Siye saw her, he seemed to shrink a little, like a mouse seeing a cat.
"Kneel down." The mistress said lightly.
Su Siye's face turned red and he didn't move.
The mistress stood up and slapped him in the face, knocking him to the ground.
Su Siye's face was swollen and blood was flowing from the corner of his mouth. He looked at his mistress with fear in his eyes, but there was only fear, not anger.
"Kneel down."
Su Siye knelt upright, lowered his head and dared not speak.
"Is this how you do things when I ask you to be on duty at Tianhu Courtyard?" asked the mistress.
Su Siye's heart was boiling with emotion. He said, "Those wild foxes are truly despicable. If we don't find a way to suppress their arrogance, they will sooner or later cause chaos in the Heavenly Fox Courtyard."
The mistress raised her foot and hit him, "You are always so stupid. There are a thousand ways, but you always choose the stupidest one."
"You are already in the Sky Fox Courtyard. I wonder if the Holy Heart has moved? Who are you doing this for?"
Su Siye panicked and said, "He revealed his weakness..."
"If it really is a handle, why are you the only one rushing to the front?"
Su Siye gritted his teeth and said nothing.
The mistress stared at him intently and said, "It would be fine if you suppressed him openly, but the worst thing you should do is cross the line and do something you shouldn't do. And then you did it without eradicating the root of the problem, leaving only the beginning and the end."
Su Siye's heart skipped a beat and he looked suddenly at his mistress.
The mistress's eyes were terrifying. He only had to glance at them, and he felt so guilty that he lost his strength and whispered, "How did you know..."
"I had someone help you clean up your mess, and you're asking me how I knew. Did you know that two of my personal guards died, and he even escaped? Stupid, if this incident affects the clan, how will you handle it?"
Su Siye stopped talking altogether.
The mistress took a deep breath and said, "Come here."
She walked to the altar, and Su Siye followed her over and knelt in front of the altar, his shadow reflected in the bronze mirror.
Su Siye looked up at the bronze mirror and only saw himself in the mirror, without any unusual signs.
But in the mistress's eyes, the divine light flowing from the bronze mirror penetrated Su Siye's reflection, but a faint black gas suddenly emerged from this reflection.
Su Siye himself couldn't see it, but his mistress saw it clearly, so she kicked him again: "Idiot!"
The sky is filled with mist and clouds, the autumn rain falls, and the world is silent.
Amidst the gloomy sky, only a small boat drifted in the decaying Lotus Lake. Raindrops fell onto the lake like falling silver beads, the rising spray transforming into steaming mist, thickening the clouds and fog between the mountains and the water.
A woman was reading a book in the cabin by the dim light of a lantern hanging from a fishing boat. Two maids with gray hair but youthful features were waiting on her side.
Tea was being boiled on a small stove; the fire and smoke dispelled the cold, making people feel a little warmer.
Su Siye knelt outside the cabin. The rain soaked his clothes and hair. The strong cold made him shiver, and his lips turned blue with cold.
The woman slowly raised her head and glanced at him, then sighed and said, "I asked you to be the Dean of the Heavenly Fox Court. What are you doing back here? If you have something to say, why don't you tell the mistress? Why do you have to come to see me?"
Su Siye bowed his head and confessed: "My mistress said that I was possessed by a demon, and only my grandmother could save me."
The woman looked at Su Siye carefully. She did not look old at all. Compared with Su Siye, Su Siye looked older.
