Chapter 118: Do What You Can

Jiang Huaixu picked up the crossbow arrow on the ground and followed Jiang Erlang and Yun Qi. After running a few steps, he saw Jiang Tietou making a detour from a distance and not running towards them.

Jiang Huaixu, who had just taken a quick glance, now realized where the one was.

This clearly attracted the entire wild boar family.

She immediately threw the crossbow into the grass beside her and turned to run towards Jiang Dazhuang and others.

At this time, the first wild boar had been knocked down by several people. It was lying on the ground crying with only one breath left.

"Brother Dazhuang, can you lend me your stick?" Without caring whether Jiang Dazhuang agreed or not, she grabbed it and turned around to run towards Jiang Erlang and others, shouting as she ran.

"Second brother, you guys shoot the wild boars' eyes and their front hooves and thighs, and I'll knock them on the head!"

Jiang Tietou, who was still being chased by the wild boar, asked tearfully, "Do pigs still have thighs?"

"Jiang Tietou, are you stupid? How did you attract so many people?!" Niu Bo's roar echoed throughout the forest.

But there was no time to argue about these things at the moment. Everyone picked up their bows and arrows and kept shooting at the wild boar falling behind Jiang Tietou.

A wild boar rushed towards them, and everyone hurriedly climbed up the tree and hid in the tree to continue shooting.

The piglets were obviously not that skinny, and they fell to the ground after being shot in the front hooves. Under the protection of Fu Tuan, Jiang Huaixu went straight up and hit them with a club. The sound of their skulls cracking was very obvious.

Then she looked at the others. Two big wild boars were running towards Yun Qi and Jiang Erlang, and there was still a wild boar chasing behind Jiang Tietou.

Yun Qi and Jiang Erlang were able to cope temporarily with the help of Niu Bo, but Jiang Tietou looked tired, and his pace, which had almost left an afterimage, gradually slowed down.

"Ahhhhhhh, why are you only chasing me?!" he roared angrily.

"Futuan, go!"

Futuan: Meow!

Jiang Huaixu and Fu Tuan ran to the big wild boar behind Jiang Tietou, one on the left and one on the right. Fu Tuan used both claws to dig into one of the boar's eyes.

When it landed, it nimbly dodged the wild boar's panicked hooves, trotted a few steps, kicked its hind legs, and jumped onto Tietou's shoulders.

Tietou was running with abandon when Futuan suddenly jumped forward, frightening him so much that his body went limp and he fell to his knees.

On the other side, Jiang Huaixu was still struggling with the blind wild boar. She held a wooden stick in her hand and smashed it hard on the wild boar's head, chasing it, smashing it, and dodging at the same time. After several hits, the wild boar finally fell to the ground.

She panted slightly and looked towards Jiang Erlang. Two big wild boars were ramming into the tree where they were standing as if they were risking their lives. Among the arrows of the few people, only Jiang Erlang and Niu Bo's arrows had high damage to the wild boars. They were not enough at this time, so they could only hide in the tree.

"Tietou, are you kneeling before me in advance? Come over and help me!"

Jiang Tietou instantly woke up from his fear and turned around to see that Jiang Huaixu and the cat were already running towards the wild boar under the tree. He hurriedly stood up and ran over.

Fu Tuan used his unique skill of using both claws, and the man and the cat quickly took care of a big wild boar.

When Jiang Huaixu ran over, in order to prevent the other wild boar from noticing the man and the cat, Jiang Erlang and Yun Qi both jumped down from the tree. Yun Qi took the initiative to attract the wild boar's attention, and Jiang Erlang aimed at the top of the wild boar's front hoof and shot an arrow.

Because the distance was so close, the arrow went straight through the wild boar's leg, forcing it to kneel on one knee and unable to stand up.

The big guys jumped down from the tree again and piled up on the wild boar one after another. Soon the wild boar was exhausted and lay on the ground. Niu Bo took out the hunting knife hanging on his waist and stabbed it several times before sitting on the ground exhausted and gasping for breath.

After a while, he remembered that he had to settle the score. "Where's Jiang Tietou? Where did that bastard go?! I'm going to chop him to death!"

Jiang Tietou's voice came from not far away: "Uncle Niu, I'll go get the villagers to come and carry the wild boar!"

"Stupid boy! Coward!" Uncle Niu covered his chest in anger. The reason why he called Tietou here was because he had been teaching him how to hunt. He thought that he had been teaching him for a long time and had hunted many common wild animals, so it was time for him to see what a wild boar looked like.

As a result, this guy's hunting skills did not improve, but he was very skilled in attracting wild beasts.

"Uncle Niu, this apprentice you found is not good enough. Why does he run away when he sees trouble?"

"Iron Head, Iron Head! Why did his parents give him that name? He's just so stubborn! Back then, he begged Uncle Niu to accept him as his disciple. He begged for days, and when Uncle Niu agreed, he kowtowed so happily that he almost fainted! He woke up the next day still full of life!"

Everyone burst into laughter.

Jiang Huaixu and the other two were sitting a little far away from the others.

Jiang Erlang whispered to Jiang Huaixu, "Ah Xu, are you hurt?"

Jiang Huaixu shook his head, supported his hands behind his back, and looked up at the sky, "I feel a little weak."

Jiang Erlang pursed his lips, feeling a little uncomfortable. He was making too slow progress.

"Jiang Huaixu." Yun Qi suddenly spoke.

"Hmm?" Jiang Huaixu looked at him in confusion.

"You're only nine years old." Yun Qi whispered, "There are some things you don't have to take on."

Jiang Huaixu was stunned and didn't know how to answer for a moment.

"Yun Qi is right. You are still young and shouldn't worry so much. Otherwise, what will you do if you don't grow taller?" Jiang Erlang agreed in a gentle voice.

"······This kind of emergency situation is not a question of whether I should take charge or not, right?" Jiang Huaixu was silent for a long time before he said this.

She was hurt by not growing taller.

"I'll just do things within my ability from now on, okay? When did you two become so close?" she muttered.

Is she going to have to watch these villagers who live with her every day get injured or lose their lives?

She can't do it.
