On the way, Shen Huaixu found a relatively secluded place, put on a black robe and a mask, and waited quietly for Fu Yin to come out of the space to pick her up.
Fuyin arrived very quickly, and the two of them entered the palace smoothly. Fuyin said that her identity had been reviewed by the emperor, and she could follow Fuyin wherever he went in the future.
The more Shen Huaixu listened, the more he felt that this little emperor was a little strange. The little emperor was so capable, why didn't he realize the danger posed by He Yin and let He Yin continue to stay in the palace?
Unfortunately, she couldn't say this outside, so she had to suppress the doubts in her heart.
After returning to their residence, Shen Huaixu asked.
Both of them had taken off their masks, and Shen Huaixu could clearly see a hint of confusion in Fu Yin's eyes.
"I don't know," he said. "I wonder if there's no one to keep him in check, but the young emperor has become quite lax, spending his days eating, drinking and having fun. The old men in the court urge him to be diligent in his duties, but he just ignores them."
"Then let's discuss what to do next?"
Fu Yin hesitated and said, "I feel that since the rebellion was eliminated, the young emperor seems to be willing to let go. The court is supported by the He family."
Shen Huaixu frowned, "Is he addicted to rebellion? So willful?"
Fu Yin raised his hand and rubbed his brow, his face showing fatigue. "You should go and see it with your own eyes. Anyway, it's hard to describe in words."
Shen Huaixu, who had never seen Fu Yin show such an expression, couldn't help but feel curious about what would happen tomorrow.
Chen Huaixu nodded, then said, "By the way, Fuyin, I want to go to the Princess's Mansion in a few days when my wound is better."
Fu Yin didn't ask what Shen Huaixu was going to do, he just said, "I'll accompany you."
She then told Fu Yin what happened on the street. Fu Yin just said, "She's not dead, but her condition isn't good."
For the next few days, the two of them stayed indoors. Many times, palace maids and eunuchs came to invite them, but Fu Yin always declined on the grounds of illness. Later, it evolved into occasional gifts being sent in.
Fu Yin's wounds were healing at a speed visible to the naked eye due to the effect of the transparent potion, but in the end, Chen Huaixu's wounds were healing even slower.
In her free time, she wrote another letter home and sent it back. After five or six days, the two of them left the palace fully armed.
Fu Yin had become very skilled at leaving the palace without being noticed by the patrolling guards, and the two of them soon arrived on the roof of the Princess's Mansion.
After the master went crazy and was bedridden, the huge mansion seemed to have become deserted. The Princess's Mansion, which used to be brightly lit day and night, was now dim, which gave the two people on the roof an opportunity to take advantage of.
Shen Huaixu looked at Fu Yin with a burning gaze. Fu Yin saw through her thoughts at a glance and asked in a low voice, "Should we go to Qiao Man first or to the warehouse first?"
"Qiao Man's place." Chen Huaixu said without hesitation.
She wanted to see what Qiao Man brought from her 'hometown'.
The two of them quickly arrived at where Qiao Man was sleeping under the cover of night.
Perhaps it was because it was too late or the servants were not serving attentively, but there was no palace maid in Qiao Man's room. The two men climbed through the window to enter the room. Fu Yin went to look for something, while Chen Huaixu came to Qiao Man's bed to check her injuries.
Something was applied to Qiao Man's face, body, and arms. Perhaps it was to prevent her from moving around, but her limbs were all tied up. At this moment, her head was tilted to one side, and she didn't know whether she was asleep or dizzy.
Since Fu Yin had taken action, it was impossible for Qiao Man to pretend to be crazy, not to mention that she had blown herself half to death, so Shen Huaixu just took a quick look and walked away.
She walked to Qiao Man's dressing table and quickly scanned the things on the table, finally stopping on an object that looked like a shell and was faintly shining.
He reached out and picked up the shell. It felt cool and smooth, not as gritty as ordinary shells. Shen Huaixu exerted a little force on his hand, and the shell opened. A huge pink pearl flickered inside.
"This is a detector that is very sensitive to some metals. Different metals can even flash different lights." Fu Yin walked behind Shen Huaixu without him noticing.
Chen Huaixu raised his eyebrows slightly, "So this is what the Zhenbei Marquis used back then. Is this also what the fluorite was measured with?"
Fu Yin nodded, "It's very likely. There should be specific instructions for use. If there aren't any, that's fine. Just test it and you'll know."
Shen Huaixu asked quietly, "Can it detect gold and silver mines?"
Speaking of this, his eyes were shining. If a gold mine was discovered, wouldn't he be rich enough to rival a country?
Fu Yin's eyesight was similar to Shen Huaixu's. Even in the dark room, he could still clearly see the dimples on Shen Huaixu's lips due to his unconscious smile. He felt as if his heart had been struck by something. "Is it okay?"
Chen Huaixu always used to praise Fu Tuan for being cute, and he felt that Chen Huaixu was no less cute.
Shen Huaixu, who was concentrating on thinking about the gold mine, didn't notice why Fu Yin stuttered at all. She threw the shell into the space without saying a word and became more motivated.
This is Fu Yin giving the things he collected to Chen Huaixu. He could also put them directly in the space, but he just wanted to take credit for it.
Shen Huaixu glanced at two of them briefly, without taking the time to examine them one by one, and just roughly threw them all into the space.
"We've almost finished searching. If you want to take the remaining valuables, feel free to do so."
Shen Huaixu, with his heart swelling, picked and chose some and when they walked to the window and were about to leave, they suddenly heard footsteps approaching from the door. They looked at each other and quickly hid behind a curtain not far from them.
The door creaked open, and in the dim light, a slender figure was faintly cast on the ground.
The man was wearing a cloak, covering the upper half of his face, leaving only his small chin exposed.
