Chapter 830, Great Smart Plan

Chapter 830, Great Smart Plan

The inquisitor of the Anti-Xenophobia Inquisition named Siflag had no bad intentions, but was truly thinking about the empire and the general situation.

The expansion speed of the Ohm Orcs was too fast. The Orc commander named "Dragon Shell", who was promoted from a pirate warlord to a great chief, was too powerful. And the army under his command was even more brave and invincible, and quickly destroyed the human army in Ohm and Lia.

In the Age of Cataclysm, humanity's ability to connect with each other across the universe has been greatly weakened, and the isolated worlds are simply unable to stop the green tide.

After the most promising legions directly under the star region government and an inadequate regiment operating in Omgeria both suffered disastrous defeats, the green tide had become virtually unstoppable.

If we don't think of other solutions, the green tide will not only engulf the entire Omgeria, but will continue to overflow.

The green tide has developed to the extent of an entire star field. Even before the catastrophe era, it was very terrifying. It required multiple forces to gather a huge force to eliminate them.

Not to mention in the present moment.

At least in the dark side of the Empire, before the Alliance arrived, there was no light near Omgeria that could gather an army to fight against the green-skinned orcs. Each world and each force had its own troubles to deal with.

In such an environment, Siflag stepped forward.

This Inquisitor, who was born in the Imperial Inquisition, had been active in the surrounding areas before the Cataclysm, trying to find a way to combat the increasingly rampant green-skinned aliens. The Cataclysm directly ruined his original plan, and all his efforts went to waste.

He was certainly unwilling to accept failure, and would not allow the orcs to become as powerful as expected.

The Ohmgeria star field is beyond salvation, having been completely destroyed in the past few decades. Perhaps there are still some remnant human forces on many planets hiding, silently resisting and surviving, but that is no longer a big deal. But at least, the green tide must be confined to the Ohmgeria star field, and they cannot be allowed to go out.

If the Dragon Shell Clan is allowed to conquer two or three more star regions, the Dragon Shell Orc Empire will probably become completely irresistible, and it may even be possible to see the "Beast Empire" that almost destroyed Terra in the history of the empire.

But human forces are unable to gather together to fight against the dragon shell. What should we do?

Sifleg's gaze turned to another great enemy of mankind, the alien - the Void Zerg.

As a senior inquisitor of the Tribunal for the Prevention of Xenophobia, Sifleg also had a deep understanding of the Zerg. Outside the two star fields, there were several similar planets that had suffered from serious parasitic infections.

The parasitic infections on those worlds were considered "conventional" infections. In contrast, the ones the Alliance encountered during the Iron Armor War were unconventional.

Generally speaking, the Void Zerg would use ultra-small, even fist-sized micro-biological spacecraft to spread dormant parasite eggs in the vast space like spores, drifting aimlessly around until they arrived near a planet where life might exist, at which point the micro-biological spacecraft would be captured by the planet's gravity and then fall into the planet.

Tens of millions of insect eggs can be placed in a fist-sized ecological spacecraft. After landing, they absorb some nutrients and hatch. They can be as small as a dust particle or as big as a fingernail. In short, they can gain the initial ability to move.

The next step is to look for native creatures to parasitize and reproduce more eggs, and ultimately seek to parasitize humans or some other intelligent race.

After reaching the stage of intelligent species, the work of the parasites themselves has been completed. They are too small and have too weak a connection with the mothership that released them, but they are a seed. As long as they can fall into intelligent creatures as the final host, those intelligent creatures as the original race can be used.

Next, the parasite infected people will further infect more people, and the initial infected people will become patriarchs and establish Zerg sects in order to infect more people.

The infected in this state are not like the "brainless zombies" that the Alliance dealt with during the aftermath. They are quite smart, with wisdom no less than that of ordinary people, and even use the brains of the infected themselves. They are nothing more than parasites, creating illusions in the brains of the parasites, making them believe that they are helping a kind and powerful "God". One day, the Gods will come to save all suffering, and they will live in heaven.

Only by finding the hidden patriarch and eliminating him can all the remaining infected people be turned into brainless zombies.

In fact, there is often more than one clan leader on a planet, and they hide very deeply, making them very difficult to find.

The religious organizational structure is also the reason why they are called "cults". Humans often call them "parasitic sects" or "infected sects".

The wisdom they inherited from their original hosts made them very difficult to deal with. Not only in war, their tactics were not rigid at all, but the more troublesome issues were outside of war.

They will lurk in the native society of the infected host.

Those who look the least different from the original race enter the society and are responsible for attracting and developing more believers. For targets that need to be dealt with secretly, or when riots occur, the parasites that have developed into non-human states will act as a force guarantee.

When they develop to a certain size and their numbers are considerable, and the parasitic patriarch can use a sufficient number of parasitic believers to light the "lights" together, the countdown to the end of the world will begin.

The combined thoughts will break through the waves of the subspace and cross the physical distance of the real universe. In the hive's thought network, this is a beacon flashing in the darkness, clearly telling all the hive fleets that there is delicious food here.

Often, the nearest Zerg fleet will rush over.

For humans, the best situation is, of course, to completely annihilate the parasitic sects on the planet. Even if that is not possible, they must strictly control their size and prevent them from becoming powerful.

And if they become powerful, we must eliminate them from within as soon as possible, and then be on high alert and make military preparations for a head-on confrontation with a Zerg fleet.

The worst case scenario is that when the Hive Fleet arrives, the parasitic sects have not been eliminated, and there are even quite a large number of them. They will often riot inside the planet, cooperate with the descending Hive Fleet, and destroy the defense force of the entire planet. Even if the rebellion is suppressed, the planetary defense force will be damaged and fall into panic, and will become more vulnerable to the upcoming full-scale invasion.

Of course, each specific Infested sect has a different attitude towards the arrival of the Zerg. There is a record of a world invaded by the Zerg, when the Zerg appeared and was about to devour everything, 75% of the planet's population voluntarily and calmly jumped into the Zerg digestion pit.

But this is a special case.

The followers of the parasitic sect often do not know what the arrival of the Zerg means. They fully believe that the Tyranids are great enlightened beings who will lead everyone to the perfect and happy heaven.

At the beginning of the invasion, these cultists do realize their dreams of fighting alongside their beloved Star-Spawn, but once the invasion is largely over, they become food for the Zerg like everyone else.

What's worse, the hive mind will take over the thought network established by the Infestor Patriarch, blocking out non-Zerg creatures that were originally bound within the thought network.

The beautiful illusions that have long shrouded the believers' eyes will slowly disappear. They will have enough time to appreciate the true appearance of themselves, their loved ones, and their alien relatives, before eventually being eaten alive in madness and despair.

The Infested Cult is nothing more than a kitchen appliance used by the Tyranids to prepare a buffet, and they will die in the end regardless of whether their infiltration is successful or not.

However, in the current situation, infected people are good tools that can be used.

Sifleg tried his best to capture several ships of parasites outside the two star fields and transported them to the few surviving planets in the Omgeria star field.

These planets have either not yet been invaded by orcs and are on high alert; or have already been invaded but are still able to resist.

The arrival of the Inquisitor won great respect from the planet's native defense forces, and they ignited hope.

And Sifleg and his Inquisition troops, as well as the troops he recruited from surrounding star fields, are indeed working hard to help these planets resist the invasion of orcs.

But their more important task is to release those infected people into human society and provide them with help, so that they can infect more humans as quickly as possible.

Siflaig even "accidentally" leaked to the cultists a method he had researched that could "ripen" the cultists more quickly, in order to help them connect to the hive mind network with fewer people.

According to Sipleg's calculations, the nearest Hive Fleet is not far from the Ohmgeria Star Region. As long as the signal is sent out and the Hive Fleet receives it and is willing to come, the journey will take only about three to four years.

This time is desperate for a world that is generally invaded by a hive fleet. There is too little time to prepare. But at the moment, it is good news for Sifleg.

He wanted to use the four planets that he had populated with a large number of infected people and "ripened" as bait to quickly lure the Zerg fleet that was so close.

In his view, this is the best of both worlds.

Since it seems that humans can no longer stop the spread of the Dragon Shell Clan, let the Zerg stop them.

Since they have been able to calculate that the Zerg fleet is so close to the human territory, their subsequent invasion is probably inevitable. Those worlds that have been disturbed by parasitic sects will sooner or later be unable to contain the internal infection problems in the current era of catastrophe, eventually leading to a Zerg invasion.

Then let them fight on their own!

There were aliens on both sides, fighting each other fiercely! No matter how many died, Siflaig would not feel the slightest bit of heartache.

During this process, there were actually some different opinions within his team.

If it is some other alien race, when it is difficult for humans to gather strength and cannot be eliminated, they can let two alien species fight each other, preferably until both are defeated and neither has the strength left, and the human army can then come out to clean up the mess. That would of course be the best result.

But unfortunately, the two sides involved in the war were the green-skinned orcs and the void zerg.

These two races are the kind that will become stronger as they fight!

Orcs have a strong reproductive capacity, and can gain combat experience and improve their war technology by eating their enemies; at the same time, the more brutal and fierce the war, the more rewards they can get from the orc gods, and the more massive waagh energy they can gather, making the individual orcs in each tribe stronger, and finally pushing the entire tribe to become stronger and stronger.

The best way to destroy the orcs is to win in one battle, directly eliminate their leaders, and then cause chaos among them, so as to quickly destroy them.

The situation on the Zerg side was similar. They also became stronger as the fight went on.

The way they multiply is by devouring organisms, obtaining biomass, and then producing more Zerg units.

Ordinary creatures can only provide ordinary biomass, but intelligent creatures with souls, especially the smarter and more powerful intelligent creatures, can obtain higher quality biomass by eating. When producing some powerful Zerg units, such as Swarm Tyrants, Brain Worms, Giant Assassin Worms, and Hive Ships, these high-quality biomass are needed.

Orcs with strong reproductive abilities provide a large amount of biomass; orcs that become stronger and stronger can provide higher-quality biomass.

Some of Sifleg's subordinates believed that if the two races were allowed to fight each other for too long, they might not even achieve the desired state of mutual destruction.

The victorious side will probably become a terrible disaster that is much more powerful than the two of them combined.
