Chapter 963: The Eldar Surrender
This is the first time that Gu Hang looks at the relationship between the Human Empire, the Alliance, the Emperor, and the Kingdom of Storms through the perspective of another Warp God.
Of course, this structure only appears this way in the eyes of the Thousand-Faced God and does not represent the real situation.
When it comes to observing subspace, different cognitions naturally see different things.
But this also reveals part of the relationship between the four from one perspective.
It’s actually quite interesting.
At the same time, Gu Hang also roughly understood the Thousand-Faced God's request.
"You want me to help you, but you also want the entire Alliance to help the Eldar?"
"We... beg you..."
The speaking voice changed from the cold and icy voice of Mensha to a gentle female voice.
That was Windsor's will.
He guided Gu Hang's gaze through the fog covering his stitched structure as the Thousand-Faced God, and frankly revealed all his secrets to Gu Hang.
There, at the center of a vortex composed of countless desperate sobs of the Eldar souls and the disintegrating pain of the gods themselves, an extremely tiny structure appeared.
This was a 'god core' forged from the very concepts of pain and death, forged amid the dying screams of countless divine fragments. Its fundamental purpose was one thing: to forcibly weld together the two processes of "the acquisition of the Eldar's extraordinary power" and "the absorption of the Thousand-Faced God's pain."
"This is a curse... and also a last resort..." Windsor's will helplessly explained the significance of this divine core. "If the channel for obtaining all the Eldar's extraordinary power had not been anchored in this divine core, the Eldar and I would probably have perished long ago..."
"Over the years, this structure, like a rusted iron chain, temporarily protected the Eldar from being completely devoured by Chaos, but it also served as a toxic petri dish for the infiltration of Slaanesh... Now... it is on the verge of collapse..."
Gu Hang remained silent.
At this point, he certainly understood very clearly what the Thousand-Faced God meant by needing help.
What he wanted was a method that could bypass this divine core that was on the verge of being lost and provide an alternative energy channel for the extraordinary individuals of the Eldar.
And this method is naturally the vast network of the human empire.
If Gu Hang desired, the blue network, built atop the golden network, with its dual reinforcement and filtering, could create a temporary spiritual haven for the Eldar souls. With two more layers of filtering, the psychic agitation of the Eldar Transcendents as they extract power would be less susceptible to Slaanesh's infiltration, and this corruption could be borne by humans.
Although there is still some, the amount is low and can be ignored. Humans have a much stronger tolerance. They are already being watched and corrupted by the Four Gods every day, so they don't care about this tiny bit of Slaanesh corruption.
What is more important is that human souls are not like those of the elves, who will go to the Dark Prince's realm of lust after death. They are not afraid at all.
In this way, the burden on the Thousand-Faced God will be greatly reduced, giving him a precious chance to breathe and repair himself.
However, this first talked about the predicament the Elven gods encountered, then talked about the solution, and confirmed that Gu Hang was able to help... but the most crucial thing was never said.
Is helping the Eldar without cost? Is there no benefit?
Gu Hang asked this question directly.
He calmly and clearly pointed out the essence of this deal and the huge crisis lurking behind it: "Slaanesh will never allow the Eldar, whom he most desires and has always regarded as his prey, to be spared. He will never give up and will surely launch a crazy revenge..."
What Gu Hang said is definitely a huge practical problem.
Humans are not afraid of the extra corruption, but what impact will Slaanesh's crazy counterattack bring?
It is foreseeable that those Chaos factions that believe in Slaanesh will act frantically; Slaanesh will set off wave after wave of corruption, and the probability of Slaanesh cults breeding within the Alliance will increase significantly...
The former means higher military costs, while the latter means greater internal governance costs. Behind it must be a huge amount of imperial blood and endless
And after paying all this, what can the alliance or Gu Hang get?
After a moment's silence, Windsor summoned up a new vision.
In a corner of the galaxy, a nearly hopeless Imperial Guards regiment, trapped by a dense Greenskin encirclement, suddenly shimmered with an eerie silver light at the edge of their defensive perimeter. The next moment, a horde of howling Banshee warriors, wearing spiked helmets and descending like a dance of death, materialized from thin air. Their shuriken spears, as the Imperial soldiers gazed in astonishment, precisely slicing through the Greenskins' ugly heads!
A powerful Imperial capital ship, possessed by the demon of Tzeentch, had its internal navigational charts tampered with without warning. Deadly Warp currents threatened to throw the ship into disarray. But at this moment, on the bridge, the human navigator looked up in bewilderment, hearing a whisper in his ears that he could not understand, yet it safely guided him in his direction.
On Comoros, all ports were operating at full capacity. The Eldar worked alongside humanity, and the Dark Eldar's legacy of technology was not hastily destroyed by their defeat. Instead, it was put to use, sending human fleets through the Veil Gate from one end of the universe to the other.
Within the Warp, waves of purple lust surged towards the Storm Kingdom, crashing down upon it. Yet, despite this, Windsor and Mensha remained at the forefront of the fight against the waves of Slaanesh. Furthermore, as time passed, the number of Eldar gods standing shoulder to shoulder with them would grow. The fragments dormant within the divine core would have the opportunity to be restored, becoming whole again and becoming new forces of strength...
The Thousand-Faced God emphasized that everything shown was not just a guess, but a deduction of future possibilities.
A clear and tempting path lay before Gu Hang: if humans provided this temporary spiritual haven, even if it was just a temporary and fragile anchorage, it would win precious living space and breathing space for the Eldar Craft Worlds, the Dark Eldar, and the Thousand-Faced God.
And these Ark Eldar and Dark Eldar, while still alive, will act in a way that is highly consistent with the current needs of the Empire - they will become reinforcements for the Empire on the battlefield against the common Chaos enemy.
Although their number is small, their more advanced technology, stronger individual capabilities, and more mysterious mobility will produce particularly good results in many situations.
Their ancient knowledge, which even surpasses the Empire, will be like a trickle, playing an incredible role in shifting the strategic balance point in the most critical aspects of Imperial ship navigation and the repair of medical relics.
Including the Thousand-Faced God himself, after his situation improves, he will awaken more "faces", that is, those broken Eldar gods, then they themselves can serve as powerful aids and play a very good role in the confrontation in the warp.
Slaanesh's wrath might not always be accurately directed at Gu Hang. As the Eldar gods rise up one by one, Slaanesh's troubles will only grow greater. This will greatly alleviate the immense pressure on the foundations of the real universe, which is constantly being shaken by Chaos.
After the Thousand-Faced God displayed all these contents, he did not say much, but his attitude was actually very clear.
Whether it was the Empire, the Alliance, the Emperor, or Gu Hang, in short, for humans, they could certainly fight all enemies independently. The malicious gods in the warp, the greenskins and the zerg in the real universe, these real enemies, humans could bear them on their own.
That's fine.
But there is another way.
The Eldar can be not enemies, but good allies.
Humanity does not have to bear all of this on its own; it can also have allies.
And the elves really don't want much.
Help resolve Slaanesh's ongoing corruption, free up some resources and a few worlds so the Eldar can survive.
That's it.
For humans, these are just casual things.
As for Slaanesh's crazy counterattack... Actually, even if this didn't happen, even if it didn't help the Eldar, would Slaanesh not attack humans?
None of the Four Gods can escape the calamity that has afflicted humanity. Whether or not this is the case, both sides are mortal enemies, unable to reconcile.
We clearly have the same enemy and there is no need for conflict between us, so why do we have to destroy the Undead?
This is the attitude that the Thousand-Faced God honestly displays.
And all the decisions are in Gu Hang's hands.
Gu Hang thought for a long time and made a decision.
He laid out his conditions:
"Comoros belongs to the alliance."
"On the back of every Eldar Ark, a mark of promise must be engraved."
"Your divine core must be handed over to me for control."
These conditions ultimately point to one result:
If the Thousand-Faced God tries to tear up the agreement after repairing himself, or even more terrifyingly, if He is ultimately unable to resist the ultimate pollution of Slaanesh and completely turns into a chaos abscess that threatens humanity, then Gu Hang will have the ultimate means, a command to detonate all the extinction marks engraved on the core of the Eldar Ark.
It will no longer be a battle, but the physical annihilation of the entire remaining Eldar civilization!
At the same time, it is also the complete eradication of the Thousand-Faced God.
As long as Gu Hang wants, all this will become a reality at no cost.
A race that once dominated the universe will see its last rays of light come to an end with just a thought from Gu Hang.
This is completely in line with Gu Hang's consistent requirements for Comoros and the Dark Eldar:
Unconditional surrender.
However, now the scale has expanded further.
Not only Comoros was asked, but also the Ark Eldar, who had little to do with this war, and the Thousand-Faced God behind the two Eldar.
Faced with such conditions, Windsor's response came so quickly and decisively:
"OK."
Gu Hang was a little surprised, but he also felt that it was all reasonable.
If the Thousand-Faced God had not made similar preparations, He would not have come to see him today.
As for whether giving everything to humans is a good choice, are they afraid that Gu Hang will completely destroy them with a wave of his hand?
Actually, you don’t need to think too much.
At this point, why did Gu Hang do that?
If we can completely control the two elves, the benefits will obviously be greater than destroying them.
Instead of completely destroying the Eldar, why not just enslave them?
Highly qualified personnel, powerful cannon fodder, superior technological level... what's wrong with having such a large group of 'slaves'?
As for whether they are worried that Gu Hang is really engaging in this kind of slavery...there is actually no need to think too much about it.
The fact that the Thousand-Faced God can make the current choice actually means that he and the entire elves have no choice.
They have two options: either, after a thousand years, the gods can no longer bear it, and the entire race, regardless of whether they are Ark Eldar or Dark Eldar, are all sent to the Palace of Slaanesh to be enslaved forever.
Or, choose to be 'enslaved' by humans.
There is no other option.
Now, perhaps for an individual Eldar, there is still the option of not choosing anything and simply dying; but for the Eldar as a whole race, even the option of destruction does not exist.
Once the divine core is corrupted, there will be no difference between the remaining Eldar, whether they are alive or dead and their souls are preserved in soul stones/soul boxes. They are all toys of Big Sister Slaanesh.
When Gu Hang reached an agreement with the Thousand-Faced God and when the old woman returned to Comoros, just three standard Terran days later, the Dark Eldar of Comoros declared their complete and unconditional surrender to the Alliance.
