Back at the shop, Xu An received a message from the print shop that the photos had been printed and laminated and were ready to be picked up.
Ever since the two little ones found out they received photos from Lin Xinyue, they've been making Xu An look at those photos eight hundred times a day.
He even showed Grandma Xu his phone to show her how the two of them had fun at the amusement park and what rides they had played.
However, Grandma Xu couldn't get used to the phone screen. After looking at it for a few seconds, she felt her eyesight was blurry and her head was spinning. She could only look at a couple of pictures before giving up, which greatly disappointed the two of them.
Seeing that the two little ones were unhappy about this, Xu An sent the photos to a print shop and asked them to print them out.
After glancing at the two people who were holding their phones and whispering to each other while looking at the photos, Xu An quietly went out to retrieve the printed photos, then walked towards Xu Kang and Xu Le with his hands behind his back.
"Kang Kang Le Le, your brother has a gift for you. Can you guess what it is?"
"Meat!"
"cake!"
Well, it seems one of them wants to eat meat, and the other wants to eat cake.
"It's not food, guess again?" Xu An coaxed. "It's something you all really, really, really want!"
You really, really want it?
The two tilted their heads, poking their chins with their little fingers, thinking seriously for a long while before tentatively asking, "Is it a toy?"
"No." Xu An shook his head.
"Is it clothes?"
"no."
As they guessed, the two lost patience and started to act spoiled. Each of them grabbed one of Xu An's arms and pulled hard, trying to pull Xu An's hands, which were behind his back, to the front.
"Can't guess it? If you can't guess it, you can kiss your big brother. If you kiss your big brother, I'll tell you the answer, okay?" Xu An said, leaning his face forward, but he was met with a clean and decisive rejection from the two.
The two men braced their feet against the ground, their bodies bent like a large bow, and pulled hard on Xu An's arms, but Xu An remained unmoved, squatting in place.
Seeing that the two of them looked increasingly grumpy and their mouths were tightly shut, Xu An knew he couldn't tease them any longer, or they would start to cry.
"Okay, let go of my hands and I'll show you the present, okay?"
The two looked at each other, hesitated for a moment, and then released their hands with some doubt. However, their small hands still clung loosely to Xu An's arm, as if to say, "If you try to run away, we'll catch you right away."
well!
Xu An sighed inwardly. The child had grown up and was no longer easy to fool; even gifts didn't work anymore.
"Ta-da! Look what this is!" Xu An flipped over and held up two bags of photos in front of the two of them. Their already round eyes widened even more, their faces filled with disbelief.
"This is."
'Smack, smack'
Before Xu An could finish speaking, Xu Kang and Xu Le gave him a loud and clear kiss on the cheek, then snatched the photo from his hand and ran to Grandma Xu to show it to her.
Wow! Happiness came rather suddenly, and the unexpected attack from the two left Xu An momentarily stunned.
When Xu An came to his senses, he heard Grandma Xu asking the two of them who the Moon Sister they were talking about was.
"The moon is super, super beautiful!"
"The moon even takes pictures of us!"
"Sister Moon."
The two of them kept calling Lin Xinyue "Sister Moon," praising her as if she were unparalleled in the world, which made Xu An feel envious.
Xu An then took out his phone, turned on the recording function, and recorded all the flattery from the two sycophants.
If the two of them stop praising themselves like this in the future, they won't get any meat! No new clothes! No gifts!
Just as the group was making a fuss, a young couple, holding a child and carrying a flower basket, walked to the entrance of Xu's Fast Food Restaurant and looked into the restaurant with some uncertainty.
"Are you three here for a meal? There are seats available inside, please come in." Liang Dani, who was in charge of serving the three, noticed them and quickly stepped forward to greet them.
Hearing the noise, Xu An turned around curiously. The man standing at the door smiled when he saw Xu An: "Boss Xu, I've finally found you!"
As he spoke, the man led the two into the shop, then pushed the little boy forward, placing him in front of Xu An.
"Do you still recognize this brother? This is the brother who saved you and took you to the hospital."
The little boy was a bit shy. He glanced at Xu An and then snuggled back into the man's arms, staring at Xu An with curious eyes.
"Brother Han, what brings you here?" Xu An greeted the man with some surprise.
During our last chat, I casually mentioned that I ran a fast food restaurant across from the Zijing Garden construction site, but I didn't mention the name or the exact location. I never expected them to come knocking on my door.
"The child has been discharged from the hospital, so I brought him here to thank you in person." The man said, then nudged the little boy in his arms: "Leilei, say thank you to your brother."
"Thank you, brother!" This time, the little boy didn't shrink back into Brother Han's arms. Instead, he looked at Xu Kang and Xu Le, who were standing aside watching the commotion, with some curiosity.
"Do you want to see the photos? We took so many photos at the amusement park!" Xu Le stared at the little boy for two seconds, and her cowardly nature led her to extend an invitation to him directly.
The little boy hesitated for a moment, then turned to look at his mother beside him. Only after seeing his mother nod did he timidly walk towards Xu Kang and Xu Le.
Xu Kang grabbed the little boy's hand, handed him a photo of himself grinning at the camera, and said proudly, "Look, this is me in the photo!"
