Chapter Sixty-Six: When will I be able to live my whole life without ever having to leave the house?

Yesterday, business at the restaurant was somewhat better, but before Jin Dayong, the owner of the delicious restaurant, could even be happy, he discovered that many people had taken tea eggs and left today.

Everything was fine yesterday, so why did they all leave today? Less than one in ten people are still here. What happened?

Jin Dayong stopped a worker who had eaten lunch at his shop yesterday and asked with a smile, "Why aren't you eating here today? Is there something you think is lacking in service? I'll fix it right away."

Upon seeing Jin Dayong's welcoming smile, the worker who had been stopped hesitated for a moment before speaking directly.

"Xu's Fast Food has salt-baked chicken legs today. They're fresh and flavorful, and everyone loves them."

After saying that, the man hurriedly left, afraid that if he was late, all the big chicken legs would be snatched up, leaving only the pitiful little chicken legs.

Jin Dayong, left standing there, was bewildered. Wait a minute, wasn't the meat dish on that flyer supposed to be green pepper and pork slices? How did it become salt-baked chicken legs? Did they change the menu at the last minute?

Watching the workers come in, collect their tea eggs, and leave without a second thought, Jin Dayong finally couldn't sit still any longer. He started walking towards Xu's Fast Food, wanting to find out what was going on.

Before even reaching the entrance of Xu's Fast Food restaurant, Jin Dayong saw a large group of people waiting outside with plates to get their food, and he couldn't help but feel envious.

I quickened my pace and arrived at the front of Xu's Fast Food. I stood behind the workers and peeked at the hot food counter. Sure enough, I saw a salt-baked chicken leg on the hot food counter.

Besides the salt-baked chicken leg, there is another meat dish: green pepper and pork slices.

Jin Dayong was shocked. Four dishes and a soup for eight yuan, including two large meat dishes.

Is this small business owner so scared that he's starting to make foolish moves?

Jin Dayong was secretly delighted. He hadn't expected that this young man couldn't withstand such a small setback and was so easily frightened.

He even started to consider whether he should take over Xu An's shop after it went bankrupt due to poor management.

After all, Xu An's shop has a much better geographical location than his.

Suddenly, he heard the voice of the man serving the food.

"Chicken leg or green pepper and pork slices, which do you want?"

"I want a chicken leg."

"Okay." Zhou Qi quickly placed a plate of salt-baked chicken leg on his plate.

The two workers standing next to Jin Dayong, waiting to get their food, started chatting while looking at the two main dishes on the hot food counter.

"Today we have salt-baked chicken legs and green pepper and pork slices. Which one do you want to eat?"

"The salt-baked chicken leg looks good, but the green pepper and pork slices also look delicious. I'm a bit torn."

"How about we each get chicken legs and the other get slices of meat, then we can take turns eating them and have both?"

"Okay, let's do it that way."

Many workers would form small groups of two or three, each ordering a main dish to eat together.

Jin Dayong was stunned again. What was going on? Wasn't it supposed to be four dishes and a soup? How did it become three dishes and a soup?

Jin Dayong, an unsuspecting bystander, stood aside and observed for a while before he understood what tricks Xu's Fast Food was up to!

I finally understand, I'll do the same thing tomorrow.

No way, I can't keep following him around like a little shadow. Tomorrow I'm going to cook three dishes! I'll make you regret it!

Jin Dayong felt he had figured out Xu's Fast Food's strategy, and happily returned to the store to start planning tomorrow's menu.

The entrance to the construction site of the Shanghai Library.

Xu An's order delivery is proceeding smoothly.

With fewer meals delivered at once and improved quality of delivery boxes, riders no longer need to be overly cautious when delivering, thus increasing delivery speed.

Because of the requirement to pledge one's ID card, and because the riders currently recruited are all college students, there have been no cases of riders absconding with the money.

Everything proceeded smoothly and in an orderly manner.

More than 150 boxed meals were delivered in less than an hour by six delivery riders.

Furthermore, Xu An's officially launched strategy for attracting front desk staff has yielded significant results. The six delivery riders brought back not only the money for over 150 boxed meals, but also orders for over 200 boxed meals.

Seeing the surge in orders, Xu An finally breathed a sigh of relief. With these orders, he no longer needed to worry about the cutthroat competition from Delicious Restaurant.

It seems that office workers are the right way to complete this game!

Business has been slow at the entrance of the Shanghai Library construction site these days. Besides the increasingly hot weather, another reason is the growing number of workers leaving.

This food street, which relied on construction workers to form, has seen its business decline day by day as the workers gradually leave.

Some stall owners are even discussing moving to other construction sites to set up their stalls, because they are just barely hanging on here, and their daily income is not even enough to cover their expenses.

Xu An couldn't help but feel fortunate that he had unintentionally discovered the consumer group of office workers. His boxed lunches also met the needs of office workers, so he smoothly changed his consumer group from mainly workers to mainly office workers.

Otherwise, I should consider whether I should go to other construction sites to explore new markets.

When Xu An returned to the store and sorted out tomorrow's orders, he discovered several strange addresses.

This address looks more like a regular residential address than a company address.

Could it be that residents near the Shanghai Library have also become interested in boxed meals?

Ye Ning considers himself a homebody. Although he doesn't like anime and manga, he enjoys staying at home and would never step out of the door unless absolutely necessary.
