Chapter Sixty-One: Whom Do They Look Down On with Just Twenty Boxed Meals?

At 7:50 a.m., Xu An arrived at Xu's Fast Food with his family.

At eight o'clock, Liang Dani, Zhou Qi and others also appeared at the store entrance on time.

At 8:10, Bald Chen's van appeared at the restaurant entrance, and he took four large bags of meat out of the trunk.

"Business is good for you, young boss. It's only been a little over half a month and the shop is already open. Please support your business in the future," Bald Chen joked when he saw Xu An.

At first, he just thought that Xu An was a down-to-earth young man who did business honestly and didn't cheat, which suited his taste, so he chatted with him for a while.

Unexpectedly, in less than half a month, Xu An had become one of the top twenty customers at his stall. Now that the shop was open, the amount of goods he picked up had doubled compared to before. With such a stable customer, Baldy Chen naturally wanted to maintain a good relationship with him.

Xu An took the meat from Bald Chen and carefully checked the production date and shelf life on the packaging.

After confirming there were no problems, he had Zhou Qi and the others take the items to the kitchen, while he stood by the car chatting with Bald Chen and settling the bill.

Suddenly, Xu An's gaze swept over the trunk and he noticed two large bags of meat inside. Curious, he casually asked, "Are you going to deliver goods to other places later?"

Bald Chen followed Xu An's gaze to the two large bags of meat on the cart and laughed, "Yes, this is the first time this shop has ordered from me, and the quantity isn't large. I didn't originally plan to deliver, but since their shop is near you, I figured we could just deliver it together."

Xu An nodded. Since it was nearby, it should be one of the fast food restaurants next door.

After chatting for a few more minutes, Bald Chen handed the invoices and other receipts to Xu An, got into the van, turned the steering wheel, and drove off.

After just one turn, less than 150 meters away, Bald Chen's van stopped.

"This must be the Delicious Restaurant," Bald Chen said, glancing at the address left by the customer, then at the restaurant itself, his tone slightly uncertain.

The restaurant's signboard was covered with red envelopes, so the shop's name was not visible.

However, there were already two opening flower baskets in front of the door. Bald Chen went over to take a look and saw that the inscription on the basket wished the Delicious Restaurant a grand opening, and the date was tomorrow. It seemed that this was the right place.

The delicious restaurant's doors were wide open, but no one was inside. Bald Chen stood at the door and called out a couple of times. A chubby middle-aged man with large ears and long earlobes came out of the kitchen.

"The boss is here. I was busy in the kitchen and didn't notice. Come in, come in and have some tea." The middle-aged man greeted Bald Chen warmly and actually picked up a cup to pour him tea, not just as a polite gesture.

This wasn't the first time Bald Chen had encountered such enthusiastic customers. Thinking that this was the last delivery of the morning, he figured it wouldn't waste any time to sit down and have some tea, so he went in, sat down, picked up his teacup, said a few polite words, and started drinking.

The middle-aged man carried two large bags of meat into the kitchen, then sat down opposite Bald Chen with a smile.

"Boss, your business is booming. I went to place an order yesterday and saw a huge crowd in front of your stall."

"Things have only gotten a little better these past few days. A few days ago, I couldn't see a soul in sight. I didn't dare take too much stock with me each day, for fear of not being able to sell it and being stuck with it." Businessmen always adhere to the principle of not flaunting their wealth, and Bald Chen was no exception, answering the question flawlessly.

"Do many of our shops order from you?" the middle-aged man asked, changing the subject.

"I don't know about the others, but I don't have many here. Including you, there are only two." There was no need to hide this question, so Bald Chen answered readily.

"Oh, which one is the other one?" the middle-aged man asked, a hint of surprise on his face.

“Xu’s Fast Food, I’ve been a regular customer.” Bald Chen said with some emotion, “In the beginning, I would buy in ten-pound increments, but now the price has increased tenfold or eightfold.”

After saying that, Bald Chen realized he might have misspoke, so he quickly took a sip of water and didn't continue.

The middle-aged man was very curious about this topic and asked several times, but he did not receive a reply from Bald Chen.

After drinking the tea in one gulp, he said goodbye and left.

Bald Chen sat back in the van and suddenly realized something was wrong. Had he been tricked into revealing information?

But after thinking about it, I realized I hadn't said anything important, so I didn't pay much attention to it.

Xu An, Liang Dani, and Xu Heping had just left the store when a tall, thin young man entered.

"Boss, can I take this to go?"

"Takeout?" Grandma Xu was taken aback. This was the first customer to make such a request since the store opened two days ago.

"Yes, your store is too crowded and hot, so I'll take it home to eat," the tall, thin young man explained.

Grandma Xu glanced at the disposable lunch boxes in the kitchen, then nodded and said, "Okay, pay here first, then I'll pack it up for you."

The tall, thin young man immediately took out his money to pay the bill. After Grandma Xu accepted the money, she called Xu Lili over to help pack the lunchbox.

After making the contact, Xu Lili is now quite familiar with the job of packing boxed meals, and she quickly packed a boxed meal and handed it to the young man.

The tall, thin young man took the boxed lunch and left Xu's Fast Food Restaurant without looking back. He walked quickly, made a sharp turn, and entered the Delicious Restaurant.

"Boss, I've brought back the boxed lunches."

As soon as he finished speaking, two people came out of the kitchen.

Both had Mediterranean hairstyles and the same large ears with long earlobes. However, one was about fifty years old and looked a bit old, while the other looked much younger, not even thirty.
