When Roger learned that Xu's Fast Food Restaurant mainly operated on the takeout model and that the delivery trucks had just set off, a look of annoyance appeared on his face.
This food delivery service was a novelty in Shanghai, what a great gimmick! Unfortunately, we were too late and missed out.
Xu An turned to look at the clock on the wall inside the store, estimated the time in his mind, and said, "If we go to the Yin Xing office building now, we should be able to make it in time for the last batch of boxed meals to be delivered!"
Roger's eyes lit up instantly. He left three people to film Xu's Fast Food Restaurant, while he and two others set off with Xu An to the Silver Star Office Building.
They rushed all the way, and the van carrying the group had just stopped in front of the Yinxing Office Building when Xu Guosheng's truck arrived right behind them—the timing was perfect!
Xu Guosheng got out of the small truck and saw three people carrying long guns and short cannons pointing at him. He was immediately startled, thinking that he had accidentally wandered into some kind of filming location.
Xu An quickly took a few steps and whispered the whole story in Xu Guosheng's ear.
Upon hearing this, Xu Guosheng's face immediately turned serious. He reached out and tugged at his clothes, then ruffled his hair, and asked in a low voice, "Is my current look okay? It's not embarrassing to go on TV, is it?"
White t-shirt, floral shorts, and slippers—a classic image of Shanghai residents.
"No problem, absolutely perfect, you'll look incredibly handsome on camera!" Xu An gave Xu Guosheng a thumbs up.
The four companies to be delivered to are located on the sixth, thirteenth, twenty-first and twenty-seventh floors respectively. The first company they delivered to was Huapu Media, located on the twenty-first floor.
There were security guards at the back door during this time. Xu An and the others were allowed to enter the office building only after registering their identity information.
The freight elevator went up very quickly, reaching the 21st floor in just over ten seconds.
The photographer walked ahead, while Xu An, carrying a box of lunches, headed towards Huapu Media Company as usual.
A group of five or six people, plus those with long lenses and short lenses, made quite a commotion.
Along the way, they attracted the attention of several companies, and many people looked at Xu An and his group and discussed what they were doing.
When they saw the photographers wearing work badges from the local Shanghai TV station, they became even more excited, and many people followed behind to watch the spectacle.
Twenty-seven people from Huapu Media Company ordered meals at Xu's Fast Food Restaurant today. They picked up their meals in an orderly manner and even greeted Xu An and exchanged a few words, creating a harmonious atmosphere.
After the other three companies learned that the filming was being done by a local TV station in Shanghai, they followed suit, and the handover of the boxed meals went very smoothly today.
After Xu An and the others left, the people who had ordered boxed lunches at Xu's Fast Food Restaurant were questioned by their colleagues. Everyone wanted to know what was going on and why the local TV station from Shanghai had come to film them.
Unfortunately, not only them, but even those who had ordered food were completely bewildered and had no idea what was going on.
On the way back, the photographer wanted to film Xu Guosheng driving, so he sat in the passenger seat of the pickup truck and chatted about things related to the fast food restaurant while filming.
Upon hearing that Xu's Fast Food Restaurant only officially started operating in late June, and that it initially just set up a stall at the entrance of a construction site, the photographer became interested and repeatedly asked how Xu's Fast Food Restaurant had developed from a roadside stall to now delivering boxed meals to office buildings.
Xu Guosheng immediately spoke frankly and without reservation, recounting Xu An's rise to wealth in detail, almost even revealing that Xu An still wet the bed when he was eight years old.
Fortunately, his last bit of reason stopped him from doing this, preventing the entire city of Hai from finding out that Xu An was still bedwetting at the age of eight...
Three members of the TV crew stayed in the restaurant to film the kitchen, food preparation, and customers dining.
Upon entering, customers who heard that the documentary was filmed by a local TV station in Shanghai were very cooperative. Before entering the store to make a purchase, each person would tug at their clothes and tidy their hair to ensure they looked their best.
Whether it was the staff or the customers, everyone spoke louder, hoping the photographers would notice them and give them more screen time.
Even Grandma Xu took out a small comb and made her already slicked-back hair even slicker back up, while her shiny old abacus rattled loudly as she worked on it.
Xu Kang and Xu Le ate slowly before the photographer arrived, but as soon as the photographer came, they started eating with great relish, and the photographer couldn't help but give them a few shots. The two little guys successfully stole the spotlight.
When Xu An returned, the footage of the store had not yet been filmed. Luo Ge got out of the car, gave a few brief instructions, and then got back into the van, heading towards the greenhouse planting area of Qianhai Town.
This time, it was Xu An's turn to introduce the history of Xu's Fast Food Restaurant.
Xu An's narration was much simpler, without so many embellishments, but it was very smooth to listen to, and it clearly outlined in my mind the process of a young man working hard to earn money so that his family could eat meat, and eventually opening a fast food restaurant.
"So, are you still planning to go to university?" Knowing that Xu An had just finished the college entrance examination this year, Luo Ge asked curiously.
"All the universities I applied to didn't accept me," Xu An said with a hint of shyness. "Besides, now both my family and the shop can't do without me. There are top performers in every profession..."
The rest is left unsaid.
The production team only allowed Xu An to call Aunt Hong when they were about to arrive at the greenhouse.
Aunt Hong was both surprised and delighted when she received the call. She specially changed into a red women's suit before riding her electric bike over.
