The next morning at nine o'clock, at Haishi People's Hospital.
The couple stormed to the front desk, but after asking the nurse there, they immediately fell silent.
This paternity test cannot be done in a regular hospital; you either need to go to a private agency or get a legal paternity test.
Regardless of the method, test results cannot be obtained on the same day; it takes 5-7 days.
At this point, Zhang Daoyi was somewhat discouraged. He found a bench, sat down, and said in a low voice, "What if the test results show that it's not true? Maybe we should just not do the test at all, and accept it regardless of whether it is true or not."
Zhang Daoyi wavered, but Chen Feng did not give up at all and grabbed Zhang Daoyi by the collar.
"What are you afraid of, you big man? I, Chen Fengtang, am an upright person. I admit to what I did, and don't try to frame me for what I didn't do. I really have to do this checkup."
Just then, a couple carrying a little girl hurriedly walked toward the front desk. Perhaps because they were in such a hurry, the couple did not notice that the little girl's head was hanging off their arms and swaying in the air.
The little girl seemed to have a fever; her face was flushed, and she had a cooling patch on her forehead.
What attracted Zhang Daoyi's attention was not the little girl's illness, but her appearance.
Although her features hadn't fully developed yet, she gave me a very familiar feeling, as if I had seen someone who looked similar to her somewhere before.
This person must be very important to me, otherwise I wouldn't have such a deep impression of them.
Who exactly is it?
Seeing that Zhang Daoyi remained silent, Chen Feng became even angrier. She grabbed his collar and pulled him up forcefully.
But even with Zhang Daoyi's size, Chen Feng could only manage to pull him off balance.
Zhang Daoyi grabbed Chen Feng's hand and gestured to her with his eyes: "Look at that little girl, I feel like I've seen her before, but I can't remember who she looks like."
Chen Feng subconsciously looked in the direction Zhang Daoyi indicated, and when she saw the little girl, she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease, as she did indeed feel a strange familiarity.
Suddenly, a figure appeared in her mind: a person with long hair, wearing a long robe, and sporting an exquisite goatee.
Chen Feng suddenly turned around and met Zhang Daoyi's gaze. The two of them simultaneously uttered the same nickname: "The Old Divine Doctor!"
A terrifying thought simultaneously crossed the couple's minds, their expressions shifting repeatedly until they finally reached a consensus.
Whether it's true or false, we have to check it out!
"Oh dear, it's already uncomfortable for the child to be sick, and the way you're holding him is making him even more uncomfortable." Walking over to the couple, Chen Feng said to the woman, half affectionately and half reproachfully, and then helped adjust the child's position: "This way is more comfortable to hold the child."
The woman was a little confused by Chen Feng's overly familiar manner, but since he was kind-hearted, she quickly thanked him.
"You're such a pretty child. How old are you?" Chen Feng gently rubbed the little girl's cheek with her finger.
"Exactly three years old." The woman didn't know what she was going to do, but instinctively hugged the child tightly, afraid that the person would reach out and snatch him away.
“My son is six years old this year. He was injured a few days ago and is currently hospitalized here. Sigh, it was so hard to get pregnant with this child. This injury scared me half to death.”
"That's for sure!" The woman was caught up in Chen Feng's words and continued, "It wasn't easy for me to get pregnant with this child. Seeing her sick is more painful than being sick myself."
"Oh, you went to the hospital for treatment? We got pregnant after we consulted an old Chinese medicine doctor," Chen Feng asked tentatively.
"What a coincidence, we also went to see a traditional Chinese medicine doctor for treatment." The woman was a little surprised: "Which one did you go to? I'm from the clinic opposite the Shanghai Library."
Chen Fengben was about to say "Me too," but for some reason he stopped himself when he was about to say it. What came out was a different sentence: "I was treated by a traditional Chinese medicine doctor in my hometown."
The woman wanted to say something more, but the man had already finished registering. He took the registration slip and medical record, called the woman, and hurriedly walked towards the examination room.
Chen Feng returned to Zhang Daoyi's side and stretched out her palm to him. In her palm lay a few fine, soft hairs with follicles still attached.
The couple ultimately chose a private agency for the paternity test because private agencies can expedite the process, providing results in just three days.
The old Chinese medicine doctor, whom Zhang Daoyi and his wife had been talking about, suddenly sneezed while sitting in the hospital. He reached out and rubbed his slightly itchy nose, wondering why he had been sneezing so much these past few days.
The feeling of unease grew stronger, and the plan to leave Haishi needed to be put on the agenda as soon as possible. Everything that needed to be dealt with had to be taken care of, and all the work at hand had to be completed as soon as possible.
Suddenly, the old Chinese medicine doctor remembered Xu Juan and her husband, who had come for a consultation a few days ago. Why not cancel their consultation?
But the old Chinese medicine doctor pictured Xu Juan's beautiful face and full, well-proportioned figure, and a sense of reluctance rose in his heart.
It would be such a shame to cancel such a beautiful woman!
After much deliberation, the old Chinese medicine doctor finally made a decision.
"Ah Ning, go and call Xu Juan and her husband, and tell them to come to the clinic for a consultation in three days." The old Chinese medicine doctor paused for a moment, then said, "After this consultation, I will be going on a business trip and will be away from Haishi for a long time. Tell them to hurry up and come."
Ah Ning, a short-haired boy who was dozing off in the corner of the clinic, was awakened by the old Chinese medicine doctor's words. He rubbed his sleepy eyes and replied, "Okay."
The old Chinese medicine doctor met this short-haired boy during an evening walk after dinner a little over a week ago. He noticed that the boy looked somewhat similar to his son when he was young, so he chatted with him for a while and unexpectedly found that the boy was quite to his liking.
