Xu An picked up a sickle and began harvesting the weeds in the field; with one stroke, a large patch of weeds fell.
The process is actually quite stress-relieving, but it's a bit hard on your back.
Just as Xu An was busy, two chubby, dirty little hands reached out to him, holding a few small, purplish-black fruits in their palms.
"Brother, have some fruit."
Upon closer inspection, it's a black nightshade fruit, which is edible.
Xu An was holding food in his hands, so it was inconvenient for him to take the food and eat it. He opened his mouth wide to signal the two of them to throw it in.
After throwing the fruits, the two seemed a little unsatisfied, finding the little game very fun, and went around looking for ripe black nightshade fruits.
Every two or three they found, they would come back and make Xu An open his mouth wide, then throw the pieces into his mouth one by one.
Xu Kang was quite honest; he only found ripe, dark purple nightshade berries, which tasted sweet and sour and were quite delicious.
Xu Le, however, was full of mischief. Occasionally, she would throw an unripe green nightshade fruit into Xu An's mouth, making Xu An grimace with sourness, while she would giggle and run away.
After playing for a while, the two of them either picked all the black nightshade fruits or got tired of the game, because they didn't come to find Xu An for a long time, nor did they make any playful noises.
If the child is quiet, they must be up to no good.
Xu An straightened up and looked around for the two figures. He finally found them under a large clump of hibiscus trees by the river.
The two little ones picked a hibiscus flower, put the end of the flower in their mouths, and sucked on it vigorously.
After sucking on it, he casually threw the hibiscus flowers on the ground, where there were already more than a dozen hibiscus flower remnants.
"Xu Kang and Xu Le!"
Hearing Xu An's shout, the two turned to look at him. Instead of being afraid, they reached out and picked a hibiscus flower, then ran happily towards Xu An.
"Brother, eat this, it's sweet!"
Xu An subconsciously took a sniff; the hibiscus flower had nectar at its base, which was sweet.
