Chapter 224 To be honest, someone else has also taken a liking to this shop!
Many people have noticed that Xu's Fast Food Restaurant has launched a membership card function for ordering food, but few have noticed another function launched at the same time. Wang Huiwen is one of the few who discovered this new function.
Wang Huiwen is a freelancer and a local resident of Haishi.

After ordering, she would go to sleep, and when she woke up from her first nap, the takeout would arrive at 1:40 PM. After eating, she would continue sleeping for the second half of the day.
Today, the alarm clock I set went off at 9:58 as usual.
Wang Huiwen quickly exited the work page, opened her browser, and clicked on the website of Xu's Fast Food Restaurant from her bookmarks.
Unlike usual, Xu's Fast Food Restaurant's online ordering page has two new sections today.
One is a "Great Discount on Membership Top-ups"; the other is the "Brand Story".
The "big discount on membership top-ups" is obviously a membership card promotion or something, nothing new; the brand story is much more interesting, though I have no idea what it's about.
Wang Huiwen tentatively clicked on the "Brand Story" section with the mouse, and to her surprise, it actually took her to a new page.
This page has only two sections. The first section is called "Daily Story," and there is only one video displayed there. The video's cover is the logo of Xu's Fast Food Restaurant, and the date below the logo is written in free font: September 7, 2012.
The second section displays the companies that Xu's Fast Food Restaurant partners with, including Elsa Apparel Company, Jidu Network Technology Co., Ltd., Jiangyuan Machinery Technology Co., Ltd., etc.
Wang Huiwen's gaze returned to the video from the second section. He moved the mouse over the video, clicked the left mouse button, and the video quickly zoomed in to fill the entire computer screen. The cover slowly disappeared, and what appeared before Wang Huiwen was the familiar yet unfamiliar storefront of Xu's Fast Food Restaurant.
In the video, it was not yet fully light, but the entrance of Xu's Fast Food Restaurant was already full of various delivery vehicles, and people were unloading goods from the vehicles and carrying them into the store.
The camera slowly zoomed in, soon stopping beside a bald man. The angle shifted to focus on the various cuts of pork in the van. A large hand lifted the paper covering the dust from the boxes, revealing large chunks of pork belly. The camera continued to zoom in, close enough to see the marbling of the pork, the lean and fat meat clearly distinct in color.
The basket of meat was suddenly lifted out of the camera's view.
The camera moved again, this time to a woman dressed in a well-fitting red outfit. On the cart were baskets of fruits and vegetables, and as the camera panned across them, the roots of the vegetables could be seen to be covered in damp soil.
The camera slowly pans upwards, revealing cucumbers with small yellow flowers still attached to their roots, tomatoes glistening with dew, and the white or green dividing line around the stem of an eggplant...
All of these signs indicate that the ingredients are very fresh...
Baskets of ingredients were brought into the shop. Several middle-aged women, wearing aprons with the Xu's Fast Food Restaurant logo, disposable caps that completely covered their hair, and transparent masks to prevent saliva from splashing, took the ingredients out of the baskets and roughly rinsed them with water.
When she picked them up, Wang Huiwen could clearly see that the soil on the roots of many vegetables had not been completely cleaned, and the stains on the leaves were still there, which made her frown.
It's clearly not clean yet! The cleaning was done so carelessly!
Just as Wang Huiwen was feeling dissatisfied, an older woman walked up to a machine with vegetables that she had only hastily washed once. She pressed a few buttons on the machine's display screen, then opened the machine's lid, poured all the vegetables into the machine, closed the lid, and pressed the large red start button. The buzzing sound of the machine operating rang in Wang Huiwen's ears.
Other fruits and vegetables, like this basket of vegetables, were poured into machines by other middle-aged women.
The next second, the screen switched to the machine's indicator light turning from red to green. An older woman turned off the power, opened the lid, and took out the vegetables she had just put in. Wang Huiwen's eyes widened in surprise.
The soil around the vegetable roots is gone! Only the pure white roots remain! The stains on the leaves are gone too! All you can see is a vibrant green!
Next, the cleaned vegetables were sent to another machine that looked slightly different.
Long, thick eggplants transformed into strips of uniform length and thickness; tomatoes changed from individual pieces to small cubes; and the roots, stems, and leaves of the vegetables emerged in three separate groups...
