Welcome to summer, spirit that awakens the behemoth! Now it's storm...
Jiang Yunlan stood frozen, too stunned to move an inch.
She was trying to figure out what was going on, why the translucent elf had suddenly disappeared while walking, even though she could clearly sense that the elf was in this place.
She was so shocked that she didn't notice for a moment that a nearly transparent pale blue object had appeared where the elf had disappeared. This pale blue object was as soft as soil. It still had the energy to glide across the ground, but it lazily stayed in place without moving.
"Lan, look over there." 022 pointed to the location of the elf and said to Jiang Yunlan, who had finally come to her senses.
With 022's reminder, Jiang Yunlan discovered the spirit and said helplessly, "So the form you were in just now wasn't your usual form."
The exhausted elf responded confidently, "According to your logic, I'm still a cub. It's already quite impressive that I can use the power of nature to transform into the appearance of a beast for a few minutes."
Generally speaking, the vast majority of nature spirits do not manifest the appearance of any living being, as this is merely a projection, serving no purpose other than for display. From their inception, they do not possess physical bodies like other beings; instead, they choose to inhabit inanimate objects, using these objects as both their dwelling place and their body.
The elf stretched lazily in its dwelling and said sleepily, "Alright, alright, you're all back. I know you haven't seen any living creatures in a long time, and you're all a bit excited, but it's not safe for you to stay outside any longer."
Upon hearing this, the light spot that had been flying around Jiang Yunlan and 022 reluctantly returned to its side.
The dough ball, filled with different colored dots, suddenly turned into a colorful mess.
"Lan, I'm going to sleep for a while. We'll chat again when I wake up. Remember not to take me away from this island, or something will happen to them," the elf said, her voice gradually becoming indistinct.
Jiang Yunlan heard its words clearly, but was completely confused. She walked towards it, asking as she went, "Then when will you wake up next?"
Elves have very long lifespans, and their concept of time is clearly different from that of other creatures. Jiang Yunlan nervously picked it up from the ground and listened intently.
It didn't say another word; it had fallen asleep.
Jiang Yunlan sighed, carefully put it into her pocket, and walked out of the cave with it.
"Let's put aside the matter of waiting for it to awaken for now. What we need to do now is find the dragon and Miman who are sleeping on Dragon Island and wake them up." Jiang Yunlan rationally planned the tasks to be carried out next.
Since we're going to be living on this island for a while, it's time to start building shelters and cultivating the land. Luckily, Ilovian is a native of Dragon Island and knows exactly where the best spots are for building a habitat.
When Jiang Yunlan returned to the cave entrance, there was no longer any sound of Ilovin from afar. She stopped calling out.
"The dragon has awakened?"
The awakened dragon opened its eyes and turned to look at the humanoid Ilovin. "I heard you crying. Who bullied you? I'll go with my people to beat him up for you!"
The other awakened dragons echoed this sentiment. However, after only standing up and taking a couple of steps, they limply collapsed back onto the ground.
"Gurgle~"
"Gurgle—"
The dragons were so hungry that their eyes lost their luster, and their anger was temporarily defeated by hunger. They lay silently on the ground, their brains slowly replaying the memories of their sleep.
They remembered hearing the sounds of nature before they fell asleep.
“No one bullied me. It’s just that when I came back I found you all in a deep sleep and hadn’t woken up yet, and I was very worried about you.” After saying that, Ilovin asked them with concern if they felt unwell anywhere.
The dragons rubbed their bellies and shook their heads. "Aside from being so hungry we could eat a mountain, we don't feel any other discomfort."
She felt relieved upon hearing this, but her gaze turned to the remaining members of her clan who were still unconscious, her expression worried.
"Don't worry, they'll wake up soon." The dragons said this, exchanging winks and knowing glances. In just a few seconds, their quiet conversation turned into an open discussion.
They did not forget to look for food, leaving their tribesmen, who were too hungry to walk, to wait in place while they dragged their tails along in search of food.
Meanwhile, the slowly moving dragons, including Irovan, were searching for food when they happened to run into Freya and her group, from whom they obtained energy stones to replenish their energy.
Meanwhile, Jiang Yunlan flew into the air after leaving the cave entrance, heading at full speed towards the location of the Miman. She had briefly resonated with them and knew the direction their voices were coming from.
A strange, loud noise, as if some kind of object had burst from the soil, was heard. Jiang Yunlan warily stared at Dragon Island below.
She saw the inexplicably raised soil spreading in the direction she was heading, as if guiding her. She realized that the spirit guiding her was an earth spirit, an earth spirit she had never seen before.
“Lan, there’s no sign of any other elves here,” 022 said in a deep voice.
“…Yes. There’s only one elf here, and you were the one guiding me, right?” Jiang Yunlan said, bending down and flying to the side of the earth spike, following the path it pointed out.
A burr suddenly turned into a ball, rolled forward a few times, and then melted back into the ground.
Jiang Yunlan received a response from the elf and then understood.
She couldn't help but sigh again, "What have you been through to become the way you are now?"
This was the first time she had seen a spirit that possessed both earth and wind powers. When the spirit flew towards her, it was clearly using wind powers.
The elf did not answer her, but led her to the halfway point of the island.
Jiang Yunlan landed lightly on the island's cliff, looking down at the bay embraced by the island. The seawater in the bay receded, revealing the water below.
"Mianman?"
"Full".
"..."
The humanoid Miman opened its eyes and instinctively looked up, searching for the presence that had called them.
The blazing sun shone brightly on the black-and-grey-haired squirrel-like orc, making her extremely dazzling. They couldn't see the orc's appearance the moment they opened their eyes, but they sensed a very familiar aura emanating from her.
It has a very strong natural feel, just like nature itself.
They blinked gently, then opened their silver eyes again, finally seeing Jiang Yunlan's appearance clearly.
"Orcs from the mainland?" they wondered.
Jiang Yunlan didn't understand their language and said with a headache, "I should have called Long and Zelan. 022, do you understand the common language of the ocean? Can you translate what they're saying?"
"022 cannot be translated; the language they use is not a universal language of the sea."
Hearing this answer, Jiang Yunlan felt even more troubled.
The earth suddenly nudged her, who looked down in confusion. The elf used soil to form an arrow behind her, and she followed the arrow. A panting Lorelei appeared in her field of vision.
"I didn't expect you to call Lorelei ahead of time, thank you." Jiang Yunlan squatted down and gently patted the arrows formed by the soil.
The elf formed a smiling face OwO with soil, but remained silent. If Jiang Yunlan hadn't seen the earth power it was using, she would have thought it was still asleep.
"Lan, I saw the elves call me here. Is there something they need me to do?" Lorelei asked, panting heavily as he sat on the ground. The orcs who had come with him were also struggling, some supporting themselves on the ground, others on trees, looking exhausted. Beside them lay a pile of energy stones wrapped in leaves and vines.
Jiang Yunlan pointed to the bay, her eyes sincere, as if she had seen a savior. "Miman is over there. We're counting on you to communicate with Miman."
After being born, Zelan inherits the memories of her ancestors who died of natural causes, and is born with the ability to understand the languages of dragons and Miman.
"You mean the nymphs are right here?" Lorelei's eyes widened.
Just then, the sea below suddenly surged, and the elves carried the Miman ashore. The Miman saw Lorelai and recognized him as a Zeran orc, and smiled, saying, "You've come here too. Has the earth called you?"
They came here following the guidance of the ocean.
...
On the day all the dragons and the nymphs awoke, the elves finally spoke again.
"I'm awake. Lan, you can ask me anything you want to ask now." The elf's tone rose, and she seemed very happy.
"Weren't you awake the whole time?" Jiang Yunlan was bewildered and had to temporarily put down what she was doing, sit cross-legged on the ground and talk to it. "Wasn't that you the spirit that used the power of earth, water, fire, ice and wood?"
"Hmm? If I had to say, it's me. But not entirely me. These natural forces and the wind power I've used all come from my own kind. We are all spirits who shouldn't exist in the first place," it said with a smile.
Jiang Yunlan remained silent. In fact, she had already guessed that they were dead spirits.
Seeing the look on her face, the elf hurriedly tried to comfort her, "Don't be sad for us, it's all over now. So, we are very grateful to you. They said they can finally leave in peace."
She looked up abruptly and saw the scene she had once witnessed in the cave.
Numerous points of light suddenly appeared, sometimes approaching the creatures on the island, sometimes moving closer to other points of light, incredibly lively.
Jiang Yunlan overheard the orcs, giant beasts, and Freya speaking to them. The elves were speaking to Freya and the others on their behalf.
"We have avenged you."
"What? You're sorry for accidentally putting us into a deep sleep? Don't apologize, it's not your fault. Who would have thought that after you appeared, every living thing that came near this island, except for the giant beasts you created, would fall into a deep sleep?"
"..."
Jiang Yunlan pieced together the birth and past of the Dragon Island elves from her scattered words.
At the bottom of the mountain pass on this island, fragments of the sky were originally stored. One day, a fragment of the ocean that Miman had accidentally lost came to the island with the sea, was picked up by a dragon, and placed next to the fragment of the sky.
As if the earth itself had sensed the call, the dragon, shortly after finding the ocean fragment, discovered another fragment of the earth.
This fragment of land carried the scents of many elves and orcs, and the dragon detected a strong stench of blood.
It smelled of many orcs' blood. There was the scent of Zelan, and also the scent of unfamiliar orcs they didn't recognize.
The dragons were confused about what had happened on the continent. They placed the fragments of the earth at the bottom of the mountain pass, then flapped their wings and returned to the mountaintop to discuss how many of their people should be sent to the continent next.
Just then, they heard the elves' mournful cries.
When they awoke again, Ilovian appeared in their sight. They had a very long dream, a dream that showed the elves' past.
“I was born under these circumstances,” said the only surviving elf on Dragon Island.
"To dispel their obsessions, to return them to the embrace of the Beast God, and also to avenge them, I will create colossal beasts each time I awaken. This is my power," it said.
It is a spirit born from the sky, the sea, and the earth, and is the most special spirit that possesses all the power of nature.

The author's note: Jiang Yunlan and her group did not fall into a deep sleep upon arriving at Dragon Island because no one possessed the power of the plundered elves anymore. Therefore, the elves calmed down and stopped unconsciously pulling other creatures into their dreams.
