Chapter 12
Even before daybreak, Wandi set out.
Putting on the helmet, she gazed upon the boundless universe. She knew roughly where the planet Dick Hydrogen was, but because the crude space motorcycle lacked accurate equipment, after a while, her perception of spatial orientation would become distorted, like a pilot experiencing spatial disorientation.
It was clearly a space motorcycle flying in parallel, but it made people feel that the body of the motorcycle was tilted. If the body of the motorcycle was adjusted according to people's feelings, the space motorcycle would soon overturn and crash along with the people.
Wandi looked around more resolutely, her mind rapidly calculating the best route. The universe was inherently dangerous, so was she really going to give up?
Thinking of her companions, whose fate hung in the balance, Wendy gritted her teeth. Suddenly, a meteor whirled toward her at high speed. Concentrating, Wendy relaxed her calves, then slightly tensed them. Seizing the opportunity, she gripped the handlebars and spun in the air, hovering for three seconds as the meteor streaked past. Returning to her seat, she realized the motorcycle had veered seventy-five degrees without her noticing. She quickly stood the space motorcycle upright.
Even if you know you're experiencing spatial disorientation, it's hard to avoid it. With a hint of trepidation, Wandi twisted the handlebars to speed up. The faster you get to your destination, the less risk you'll face.
But looking at the cosmic vortex in front of him, Wandi slowed down the car slightly. It was almost impossible to skip these places that would induce spatial disorientation.
She didn't have much time to think. The area was right before her. In a split second, Wandi made a decisive decision. She simply closed her eyes, relaxed her wrist, and let her sixth sense guide her.
Eveny knew, through studying the brain and its development and perfection, that women's sixth sense was more accurate and powerful than anyone else's.
Wanda's sudden flash of inspiration proved to be quite effective. She surrendered her senses in a place plagued by illusions, her body controlling the cosmic motorcycle to run smoothly, and she herself was able to think again in peace.
After a moment's non-stop driving, the small planet finally appeared before Wandi's eyes. However, it had changed a lot compared to before. The sphere that should have been surrounded by blue had turned a disturbing red, like flames or blood. Wandi didn't want to speculate. She increased her speed, broke through the sphere's shield and re-entered the Dick Hydrogen Planet.
As soon as they landed, they were greeted by a scene of devastation. Frowning, Wandi continued forward, his steps suddenly pausing. A gust of wind carried the stench of blood, and Wandi carefully observed any movement around him. He sniffed, the odor giving him a chilling chill.
"How dare you come back alone!"
"I won't let you off this time, lunatic. You've killed so many of us and I'm going to make you pay for it today."
"You said you were an ally, a life-and-death alliance, but why did you run away that day? It turns out you're just nice-talking, but you're actually cold and selfish. It's a pity for those people of yours. They trusted you so much that they refused to reveal the secret before they died. But... look, they didn't even need to ask. If I just killed one a day, you'd still be here, right?"
A group of people appeared with hateful eyes, surrounded Wan Di, and spoke with their heads held high as if they were villains who had achieved success.
Wandi was shocked by her companions' news, but she didn't show it on her face. She expressionlessly kicked a drunken man who was still boasting, sending him flying. Wandi grabbed the stick and, with a flick of her wrist like a sword flower, she firmly grasped it in her palm.
She had always disdained to argue with these people. Whether what they said was true or false, Wandi didn't care and didn't want to listen. She would find the truth on her own. So, her only task now was to get rid of the tactless people who were blocking her way.
Although surrounded, Wandi was not afraid. She swung the stick smoothly and moved her body precisely. She not only attacked each individual with her punches, but also controlled the rhythm to prevent them from forming a coalition.
Wandi had been worried and depressed these days, and had been feeling pent up in anger for a long time. But now, the more he played, the more comfortable he felt, and his breathing became smoother.
Seeing only one person left, cowering and peeing, kneeling down and begging for mercy, Wandi dispatched him swiftly and ruthlessly. Standing over the corpse, she felt truly at ease.
It’s just that—these people were so weak, like appetizers specially sent to warm her up.
Wandi was cautious and checked again to make sure there were no survivors before continuing forward.
As expected, he soon encountered another group of people, using the same rhetoric as the previous group. Even though Wandi still ignored them, he prepared his body for attack.
Without waiting for the others to advance, Wandi took the initiative, her fighting style becoming more aggressive and cunning. Besides defeating the enemy, Wandi also planned to conserve her strength, as she expected several tough battles ahead.
The sunset glow, spread across the horizon in orange, yellow, and rose colors, was already appearing. The wind was growing stronger and colder, and the further we walked, the stronger the smell became—dead, resentful, and mournful.
Wandi fought like a robot, going without food or water all the way. Finally, he saw the houses in the camp ahead. His tired body suddenly felt strong again, and the overwhelming hatred was about to pour out like a torrential rain.
There were faint sounds of conversation coming from inside the house.
"She called so quickly. This woman is so scary."
"Hmph, why rush? Let her keep beating me if she wants to. She can beat people to death and turn them into ghosts, but...if it's a ghost she's already killed, what else can she do?"
The whispered conversation went unnoticed amidst the blazing swords and sabers. Suddenly, Wandi's eyes changed. The people approaching were the same group she had just landed with, only their eyes were cloudy and their bodies were acting strangely.
Wandi soon realized what was strange, those were not human beings at all!
She struck a man's head with the stick, and his head shifted twenty centimeters to the right, barely hanging on his shoulder. She struck at his shoulder, but this time he didn't dodge, and the stick went straight through him. When she was about to strike someone's back, he suddenly turned his head 180 degrees, grinning as he waited for the stick to fall.
These ghosts completely ignored any physical attacks, and were filled with resentment towards Wandi for taking their lives, so they were tirelessly rushing forward to seek revenge.
Even though Wan Di had the power of thunder, he had no solution for the situation.
Those ghosts could ignore Wendy's attacks, but Wendy's body couldn't. It became a one-sided suppression, and Wendy couldn't even feel the blood flowing down.
The blood thrown out on the roadside happened to hit the bullet that passed by, and thus ignited a spark. The person next to him was touched by the spark and immediately took a step back to avoid it like a human.
No one paid attention to this trivial incident, but Wandi suddenly had a plan to deal with it.
Wandi deliberately widened the wound, causing blood to flow out. She smeared the blood onto the stick. Then, with a somersault, she faced the man head-on, but instead of taking his head, she simply borrowed a flame. The stick burst into flames, the flames shooting up into the air, illuminating the sky.
Wandi was merciless. She danced with the fire stick with great vigor, and those ghosts who were not afraid of physical attacks became vulnerable in an instant.
"Boss, what should we do? We can't stop those people!"
"A bunch of trash." The man paused and smiled grimly, "Release those people who are locked up. I won't let them get away with it this time!"
It was much easier to attack after finding the weakness, but before he could be happy, Wan Di's eyes widened as he looked at the people rushing towards him again, and he suddenly lost his strength.
Those familiar faces, they are her companions!
But why do their eyes look so strange?
Just before she lost consciousness, she looked down and found that she was covered in blood, with blood still oozing from wounds of all sizes on her body. Then she was thrown into a pile of rubble.
"Boss, is this okay? Should we send him to the lab for surveillance?"
"The heart was stabbed right through, and you even stabbed him several more times before you left. Even if he were a god, there's no way he could come back to life. Why waste that resource?"
"You're right, but too many people have died here before. Many people say it's too spooky and uncomfortable to stay here for too long. And getting close can make you sick. It's really weird. Since Wandi also died here, why not burn it down or drop a bomb?"
"You guys can handle these minor matters yourselves and just report the results in the end."
"Yes, I understand."
They said they would deal with it, but after a tiring day, after the leader left, those people thought that the dead could not be resurrected, so they went out to drink with their arms around each other without worry.
On the other side, Wandi struggled to regain some consciousness. She didn't want to die like this. She gritted her teeth and thought that even if she became a ghost, she would fulfill her wish.
Her body was badly injured, and despite her amazing willpower, Wandi couldn't even sit up. She could only gasp for breath in vain. The place was deadly and eerie, but strangely, it made Wandi feel at ease.
Wandi repeatedly tried to mobilize her muscles, but unfortunately, she always failed. The ruins were silent, and only her faint breathing could be heard, sometimes slow and sometimes fast.
Suddenly, strength returned to her body. Wanda was pleasantly surprised as she slowly sat up, almost leaning on a stone to stand. Her head was spinning from the blood loss, and the pain from her wound, now visibly throbbing with the effects of her renal hormones, was finally showing. Wanda stared at the ground in agony, as drops of red merged into a pool of blood that hadn't yet dried. Her life was slipping away.
Wandi was awake for only a short moment, as if he had caught a glimmer of light. He felt his head getting heavier and heavier. Before he fell asleep again, he suddenly felt a pain in his stomach and a warm current flowed out from below.
My period is here!
But there was no way to think more, her head tilted and she lost consciousness.
The group of men were still celebrating their victory with their glasses of wine.
In the dark and deserted corner, the blood was like a switch, instantly making the entire abandoned baby tower as bright as day.
Children appeared out of nowhere and then opened their eyes. They rushed towards Wandi, but they were orderly as they approached.
