The name Behemoth comes from the mythical creature recorded in the Old Testament, which is the giant beast that God created out of clay on the sixth day of Genesis.
But unlike Behemoth in mythology who fell into hell and became one of the seven kings of hell, this Titan with the same name has a gentle temperament and is known as the "protector of the forest."
Like King Kong, it is one of the few mammals among the Titans. It has an appearance similar to that of a mammoth, but its body structure is completely different from that of a mammoth. It is more like a prehistoric giant sloth. It is 108 meters tall and weighs more than 100,000 tons. It has two huge and hard teeth like ivory growing on both sides of its mouth.
In addition, its forelimbs are bent forward like an anteater and have claws as sharp as swords. Its hind legs can stand up. The serrated spine on its back is made of indestructible granite and reinforced with metals and minerals. Its body is covered with thick brown hair that is extremely resistant to high temperatures and cannot be ignited even by flames.
At the same time, due to the particularity of the radiation source organ in Behemoth's body, the feces it excretes carry extremely strong radiation, which can promote the crazy growth of plants and restore the natural ecology.
Back then, members of the Imperial Organization accidentally passed by this forest during an investigation and discovered that this forest, which had been over-cut down by humans, had miraculously recovered to its original lush state in just a few years. So, the Imperial Organization began to investigate this phenomenon and eventually found it in a nearby cave following the traces left by Behemoth.
Because Behemoth has the ability to promote plant growth, the members of the Imperial Organization in Base 58 all have a good impression of it.
The Japanese researcher Mariko is the most fanatical one among them. She has an almost worshipful feeling towards Behemoth. When she heard the evacuation order issued by the organization, Mariko felt very disappointed.
She did not choose to obey the organization's orders, but instead quietly went deep into the cave and tried to wake up the sleeping Behemoth.
However, Behemoth's body defense is one of the best among many Titan beasts, and it is difficult to wake it up by ordinary means.
But this does not pose a problem for Mariko, as her research and understanding of Behemoth far exceeds that of any other researcher in the Imperial Organization.
She pushed open the door of the observation room, came to the sleeping Behemoth wearing a non-powered mechanical exoskeleton, and lifted up a strange-looking flamethrower with difficulty in her hand, saying apologetically.
"Sorry, it might hurt a little, just bear with it for a while."
After saying that, Mariko decisively pulled the trigger, and a blue-white flame spurted out from the muzzle of the gun.
The temperature of this blue-white flame is set at 1500 degrees Celsius, which is just enough to cause pain to Behemoth, but will not ignite its hair and cause it harm.
"roar!!"
The burning pain woke Behemoth from his slumber, and he let out a low roar.
Mariko threw away the flamethrower in her hand, looked at the huge beast rising up like a mountain range in front of her, and murmured in a low voice: "Run, the farther the better, it would be best if you never get caught by anyone again..."
Before she could finish her words, Mariko was crushed into a pulp by Behemoth, who was unaware of her existence.
Behemoth climbed up from the ground of the cave and looked around angrily, but he did not find the enemy who had just attacked him. He could only cast his gaze on the observation room in front of him and Base 58 further away.
In its memory before it fell asleep, this building did not exist.
Obviously, these are traces left by other creatures in the cave.
"roar!!"
Behemoth roared, swung its strong limbs, and ran towards Base 58.
"boom!!"
With a loud bang, two giant tusks, seventy meters long, pierced through the reinforced concrete wall.
Behemoth shook its head, and its long fangs pierced through the ceiling of the base, and then slammed into the metal and concrete reinforced frame of the base like a war hammer.
“Boom—”
With a rumbling sound, the entire base collapsed. The members who had not yet evacuated fled outside in panic, but ultimately could not escape the fate of being buried by concrete stones.
At this moment, Godzilla also carried Lin Zhongtian out of the cave.
Looking at the members of the Imperial Organization fleeing in panic at the cave entrance, Lin Zhongtian frowned, and his figure teleported to a man, grabbed his arm and asked.
"What happened?"
“…”
Looking at Lin Zhongtian's face, which he had only seen in intelligence reports, the man was stunned for a moment, then quickly said: "It's Behemoth. For some reason, it suddenly woke up from its slumber and attacked our base..."
"It must have been Mariko who woke it up!"
The person next to him interrupted the man angrily.
The man was a little stunned when he heard this, and subconsciously retorted: "How is this possible? Mariko is gentle and kind, loves peace more than anyone else, and loves life in nature. How could she -"
"Do you think you know her well?"
The man next to him sneered and said firmly, "Believe me, this is definitely Mariko's doing. She has been suggesting that we awaken Behemoth and let it restore the forests destroyed by humans. Even though she was rejected by the organization, she has been secretly submitting letters of suggestion. I am responsible for reviewing the letters. When I saw the letter, I knew that she would do this sooner or later!"
Listening to the two people arguing, Lin Zhongtian's cheek muscles twitched slightly.
At this moment, the white waves suddenly let out a low roar, and rolling waves of sound poured into the cave.
The loud roar coming from the cave suddenly stopped.
Immediately afterwards, a low roar was heard from the cave, as if responding to Bai Lang's call.
Lin Zhongtian looked at Bai Lang with some surprise, then turned into silver light and rushed into the cave, turning on his white eye-like vision and rescuing three survivors from Base No. 58 which had become a ruin.
As for Mariko, who was mentioned by the two people just now, Lin Zhongtian felt that he should have seen her as well.
The opponent had turned into pieces of flesh and blood stuck to the ground, with a black-painted metal exoskeleton embedded in the flesh and blood. Next to him was a flamethrower that had been pressed into a thin metal sheet. He was deader than dead.
After Lin Zhongtian sent the three survivors out of the cave, Behemoth, shaped like a tusked mammoth, also emerged from the cave.
The huge body stopped in front of Bailang, let out a low growl, then lowered its head to show submission to Bailang.
Seeing this, Bai Lang grinned, turned his head, and looked at Lin Zhongtian with a proud look.
Lin Zhongtian twitched the corner of his mouth, ignored his boasting, took out the crystal ball, and put Behemoth into it.
After doing all this, Lin Zhongtian told Bai Lang to leave first, and he flew into the cave alone and landed in front of the ruins of Base No. 58.
The next second, Dr. Mark holding a magazine and Madison holding a bucket of popcorn appeared in the open space in front of the ruins.
Madison screamed subconsciously and almost dropped the popcorn in his hand.
Dr. Mark was slightly startled, closed the magazine, and looked at the ruins ahead with a frown.
"Mr. God, where is this place?"
“Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.”
"Base 58?" Dr. Mark was shocked. "Why did it become like this?"
"Because someone has awakened Behemoth."
"Who?" Dr. Mark asked subconsciously.
"Mariko, do you know him?"
"...I know her." Dr. Mark came back to his senses and said with a complicated expression, "She is a well-known Titan worshipper in the organization, just like Dr. Serizawa."
"Are there many people like this in the Imperial Organization?"
"It shouldn't be much on the surface, but I don't know what's going on behind the scenes."
Dr. Mark shook his head, then asked in confusion: "Why do you ask that?"
Lin Zhongtian replied calmly: "Because I want to know who else in the Emperor's organization can awaken the Titan Beast in advance."
Dr. Mark suddenly realized, "You want to take the Titan away before him?"
Lin Zhongtian nodded and said, "That's right, you probably don't want to see such a scene again!"
Dr. Mark looked at the ruins in front of him with some complex feelings, and sighed softly, "Then I'm afraid you're asking the wrong question..."
Lin Zhongtian raised his eyebrows: "Oh?"
Dr. Mark said seriously, "People like Mariko are a minority in the Monarch Organization after all. If you are worried that someone will awaken the Titans before you, then what you should be most wary of are not the Titans' worshippers, but the ambitious people in the organization who are trying to profit from the Titans."
"When they heard that you were planning to take away all the Titans, they were the ones who were most anxious. I have reason to believe that they would do anything to keep these Titans on Earth!"
