Chapter 42: Taking Advantage of the Situation

"Dulululu~"

"Dulululu~"

A cell phone, weighing nearly a pound, sat on the coffee table, making a constant, noisy noise. Wu Changyun feigned composure as he flipped through a magazine, his attention never leaving the cell phone. He had just received a call from Takigawa Yumi, who wanted to invite him to a hotel.

The white and plump legs of Yumi Tokigawa under her shorts kept flashing in his mind, and Wu Changyun made up his mind and answered the phone.

"Excuse me, are you here yet?"

"Not yet. I'm on my way. Please wait for me."

Wu Changyun grabbed the pants and put his legs into them.

"Okay, Mr. Wu, I'll wait for you in the hotel lobby."

Wu Changyun hung up the phone. Fushun has been overwhelmed by the security company and real estate business recently. Since he had acquired a lot of properties before, he has been approached by sub-landlords, house sales and agents, lenders, trusts, etc. These people have also made Fushun understand what it means to discover business opportunities. He has only bought a hundred or so houses and has been targeted by so many people.

Fushun also met some other real estate developers, but most of them weren't interested in small businesses like renting. Most of them worked on projects in other places, including neighboring countries, doing similar work as foreman. Among these people, those who truly possessed the power to develop real estate were the bigwigs, untouchables like him.

"Hey, why did you run away again? It's been a busy day."

Fushun has bought a lot of books recently, including some professional books and various kinds of garbage that Wu Changyun calls "psychological chicken soup".

Wu Changyun had no time to pay attention to Fushun and drove all the way to the Hilton Hotel. The hotel is located at 2 Queen's Road Central, across the sea from Tsim Sha Tsui Pier and opposite Victoria Harbour.

Wu Changyun drove the car to the door and looked at the rooftop. The waiter in front of him took Wu Changyun's car keys. After entering the lobby, he saw Takigawa Yumi at the window seat. Today she had long hair and was dressed conservatively, with a hint of mystery in her sweetness.

"Teacher Wu."

"No need to call me Teacher Wu, just call me Wu Changyun." Wu Changyun took the other person's delicate hand.

Wu Changyun was sitting opposite him. He didn't even have a briefcase in his hand. He just sat there without knowing what the other party was going to do.

"Because the last interview wasn't comprehensive enough, I'd like to trouble you to give me another round of interviews today. If possible, I'd also like you to introduce me to the director."

"Here?"

"I've booked a room."

Takigawa Yumi stood up and took Wu Changyun to the 7th floor by elevator.

The corridor was quiet, shoes making no sound on the carpet, and the cleaning staff, with their heads down, were busy with their work, not causing any discomfort to the guests. Wu Changyun deliberately sat at the head of the bed upon entering, casually examining the picture frames, vases, and various dark crevices, then stared at the ceiling chandelier for a long time.

"Were there no miniature surveillance equipment in the 1970s?" Wu Changyun couldn't help but mutter to himself.

"Teacher Wu, what's wrong with you?"

Maybe it was because the two of them were of similar age and both had top-notch looks, which made Yumi Takigawa feel a sense of guilt that she had never felt before. After all, as an idol, it is very important to maintain her image in front of fans.

This hotel was decent, with decent security. Wu Changyun wasn't worried about any violent conflict; for him, violent conflict was easy to resolve. He was more worried about paparazzi suddenly bursting in with cameras, taking random photos, and then fabricating stories in the newspapers tomorrow. His relationship with Yuan Aijia was just beginning to warm up, and after this incident, how would he face his female friends in the industry?

"Do you mind if we change rooms?" Wu Changyun asked.

"What's wrong with this room? I don't mind."

After getting a positive answer from Takigawa Yumi, Wu Changyun put his hand on the door handle. At this time, there was an eye in the other person's room watching everything through the door mirror. This person was Takigawa Yumi's agent, Ms. Zhou on the card, Zhou Fengjuan.

Behind Zhou Fengjuan, a very bloated man was sitting on the sofa. He looked young, with a head full of white hair so short that his scalp was visible. A Minolta camera was hanging around his neck.

The man said to Zhou Fengjuan with drooping eyelids, "Stop staring. Don't you have the key?"

Zhou Fengjuan looked a little impatient. This fat-headed kid acted rashly and could only scare people with his extra fat. In reality, it was up to her, a woman, to control the overall situation.

"If that Japanese chick doesn't cooperate, I'll just pin her down on the bed."

"Hmph!" Zhou Fengjuan turned around and glared at the fat man. This was the only idea he could come up with.

"Stinky woman, are you itchy?"

Seeing that the fat man was truly angry, Zhou Fengjuan turned around and said, "Do you know who our target is this time? What's his name? His height, weight, and what he's good at?"

"You're crazy."

"He's an action star, a real martial artist from the theater. Your mediocre skills are really not enough to stand up to him." Zhou Fengjuan said sarcastically.

The fat man stopped cursing. Zhou Fengjuan's arrogant look made him grit his teeth several times, but Zhou Fengjuan was the strategist in the team, and they were only responsible for simple tasks on weekdays.

"Did you know this Ms. Zhou before?" Wu Changyun asked.

“I was recommended by a friend at a Japanese company.”

Last time, Wu Changyun felt that Takigawa Yumi's behavior was unruly. After listening to Yuan Aijia's words, he realized that this problem might indeed exist in the current Hong Kong entertainment industry. Wu Changyun believed that as long as there was profit to be made, humans had a very keen sense of money. However, judging by Takigawa Yumi's reaction, it didn't seem like she was faking it.
