Chapter 45: The New Year is coming

"Are you afraid of your father? Very good." Wu Changyun said.

Liang Chaowei tilted his head, somewhat confused.

"So what can you do now?"

Liang Chaowei lowered his head and murmured: "I can accompany my mother, and when I grow up I can stop my father and make money."

"If your father loses 100 yuan a day gambling, your mother has to spend 80 yuan a day on clothes to make her feel happy, and you can just earn 200 yuan, then there will be no problem," Wu Changyun said frankly.

Although Liang Chaowei was young, he was amazed by Wu Changyun's words.

Wu Changyun knew that little kids didn't have much of an idea about money, so he said, "As long as you act well, I'll have my older sister give you 200 yuan a day. When you go home, your parents will be happy to see you, and they won't argue anymore."

"Okay." Liang Chaowei nodded and was about to stand up.

"One more thing. Everything here will be kept secret for you, brothers and sisters. Don't worry about your classmates or family finding out. I promise you."

Wu Changyun stretched out his finger and made a pinky promise with Liang Chaowei.

During the next take, Liang Chaowei, now free of his worries, delivered the expected performance, which made Yuan Aijia's eyes light up. Zhou Xujiang, standing by, breathed a sigh of relief. He was focused on the matter, not the person. Although he didn't know what method Wu Chang was using, he felt a strange lump in his throat.

This opening scene of the male lead was performed by the female lead Hu Yinmeng, who was confirmed by Wu Yaohan and the crew.

Wu Yaohan opens the door and turns to hang up the clothes. When he looks up and sees the heroine, played by Hu Yinmeng, a gentle smile breaks across his face. The entire action sequence differs slightly from the script; the original storyboard called for Hu Yinmeng to help hang the clothes, but Wu Yaohan's look leans more towards the gentle image of a homebody, and this free rein worked well.

What followed was a conversation between the two of them, which went smoothly overall. Then, his wife felt a little cold, so Wu Yaohan went to close the window, turned around and hugged Hu Yinmeng, and stroked his hand up along her thigh, while the two kissed.

“Crack!”

Before Wu Changyun could burst out laughing, Zhou Xujiang shouted "cut" first.

Wu Yaohan, who is only 167 cm tall, and Hu Yinmeng, who is from Northeast China, hugged each other, and the woman looked like a tiger or wolf straddling Wu Yaohan.

Zhou Xujiang had considered this beforehand, but after reviewing the footage, he realized the difference in their stature was too obvious. Zhou Xujiang was a little embarrassed to speak up. After all, Wu Yaohan was different from those young actors. He graduated from a British drama school, performed for the BBC after graduation, and returned to Hong Kong in the 1970s, where he also appeared in numerous films and TV series. Many people praised Wu Yaohan's promising future.

"Um, Wu Yaohan, come here." Zhou Xujiang called him over with courage.

"What's wrong, Director?"

"Put this underneath."

Wu Yaohan looked at the rubber mat in Zhou Xujiang's hand. He was not unfamiliar with this prop.

"Okay, wait a moment." Wu Yaohan took the mat and took off his leather shoes. After he was all tidied up, he looked 3 to 5 centimeters taller.

When filming again, Wu Yaohan still touched Hu Yinmeng's thigh, and this time he was shouted "cut" again.

Any actor would feel a little emotional when encountering this situation. After all, height has nothing to do with acting skills and professional ethics. It is a problem during casting. Hu Yinmeng was touched back and forth twice because of this. She was somewhat unwilling. After being stopped, she quietly walked to the side and leaned against the wall.

"Director, is it still not working?" Wu Yaohan leaned over to watch the replay. The height difference between the two caused Hu Yinmeng's legs to be directly across Wu Yaohan's upper waist. After watching the footage, Wu Yaohan's face darkened and he was speechless.

"This won't work, it definitely won't work." Yuan Aijia was still standing behind Zhou Xujiang.

"Why don't we change our moves?" Wu Changyun suggested.

"How do I change it?"

"Let me show you how." Wu Changyun walked to the window, pretended to close it, and turned around to hug the air.

At this time, Hu Yinmeng also came over tactfully. After all, this was her first play, and she could only slowly cultivate her attitude towards work through actual combat.

Just like the previous action, she put her legs around Wu Changyun's waist. This time, Wu Changyun did not touch her thighs, but supported Hu Yinmeng's buttocks. The two of them changed their positions, and now Hu Yinmeng was sitting on the windowsill and her height was much lower.

"Are you okay? Be careful not to fall." Wu Changyun saw Hu Yinmeng's face blushing slightly, and without giving her a chance to say anything more, he turned to Zhou Xujiang and said, "That should be enough. Change the camera position to the side of the two of them. Then put a wooden board under the male lead's feet, so that their heights won't be exposed."

"Good idea." Zhou Xujiang nodded and approved of Wu Changyun's approach. The idea of shooting can be flexible and changeable.

What follows is a kissing scene. After the kissing scene, a gunman suddenly appears from the room and shoots Wu Yaohan. This marks the end of the opening scene.

The whole play took three days. Except for a minor incident at the beginning, the whole process went smoothly. The real dispute started three days later.

Wu Changyun discovered that there was a discrepancy between the filming content and the script. In the original drama, when the audience watched this scene, they did not know that the male protagonist was dead. It was not revealed until the end of the movie.

Now, after Zhou Xujiang's changes, when the male protagonist played by Wu Yaohan interacts with his wife played by Hu Yinmeng, the audience is already told that the male protagonist is dead.

Wu Changyun directly interrupted the filming. In addition to the initial remuneration, Wu Changyun also had a share of the box office revenue. He did not want to continue filming like this.
