Chapter 22: The Big Brother in the Community

Early in the morning, Wu Changyun and Fushun had just arrived at the crew. Huang Bingyao was already waiting at the door of the director's office, greeting them.

"Brother, I finally waited for you." Wu Changyun was also very excited.

"Hey, don't mention it. I didn't have good vision before." Huang Bingyao lowered his head and shook Wu Changyun's hand sincerely. This opportunity allowed Huang Bingyao to experience the pleasure of being a screenwriter. It not only satisfied his creative desire, but also the three thousand yuan arrived in his account very quickly. For Huang Bingyao, this money was equivalent to three or four months' salary.

"I'm ashamed, ashamed." Wu Changyun invited Huang Bingyao into the director's room. Even if he didn't ask Huang Bingyao to revise the script, he would still be able to make a fortune in this industry in the future.

Huang Bingyao didn't understand what Wu Changyun meant, but it didn't matter.

Frankly speaking, Wu Changyun was very satisfied with Huang Bingyao's script. He was truly amazed by it. This is not surprising. After all, Huang Bingyao's status in Hong Kong films is there and has been proven by time.

With Huang Bingyao's help, the literary scenes progressed much faster, and he offered numerous suggestions on the performances. While seemingly uninitiated, Wu Changyun, a seasoned actor, humbly accepted and put his advice into practice. Filming progressed smoothly over the course of several weeks, with Wu Changyun often surprising the audience with his innovative and creative ideas.

On this day, Huang Bingyao and Du Qifeng were sent off as usual. Wu Changyun and Fu Shun were targeted as soon as they left the crew.

"Brother Hao, we found the person." Ma Jun said while holding a mobile phone.

"Identify them and bring them back to me." On the other end of the line, Lame Ho was in a warehouse. The person being held in front of him was none other than the little beggar who had previously sold him information. Lame Ho limped over to the little beggar and said, "Don't play tricks on me. This is Hong Kong. It's my territory."

Wu Changyun and Fushun took the tram all the way home and walked along the old street leading to the community. This place was not as prosperous as the film set. It was built many years ago and is now waiting to be demolished and renovated.

"Get started." Ma Jun ordered, and four thugs got out of the black car that had been following behind.

Ma Jun knew that the two men were martial artists, and there were two more cars following behind, making a total of fifteen people including himself, and each of them had a weapon in his hand, ready to show it depending on the situation.

Suddenly, several cars stopped behind him. Wu Changyun had a bad feeling, and there was no one else on the street.

“Run!”

Wu Changyun grabbed Fushun and ran away. As they ran, the thugs behind them also ran.

"Oh no, it's really coming for us."

"What's going on? Brother Yun? Henry's affair has been exposed?"

"I'm afraid so. Don't get caught."

Wu Changyun knew that if he was caught, both Henry and Bo Hao would kill him.

The two men ran towards the direction of the lights and soon arrived at the gate of the community. Chang Sihu greeted them when he saw them, but he immediately realized that something was wrong. Their fried chicken and hamburger restaurant had just opened and business was booming. These were all suggestions from Wu Changyun.

"Go back and get your stuff." Chang Sihu called out to his former younger brothers, who are now shop assistants.

Wu Changyun saw that running was not an option. The other side had more people and had transportation. If they hadn't taken the shortcut, they would have been caught up. He acted decisively, turned around and kicked the person who was chasing him to the ground. Then, the three or two thugs who followed were also knocked down by Wu Changyun in a few moves.

Seeing that the situation was not going well, Ma Jun was the first to pull out a machete from his arms and swung it at Wu Changyun.

Chang Sihu led a kitchen knife, and several shop assistants rushed out with spatulas, ladles, and wooden sticks. The group stood together.

Ma Jun swung his knife at him, and Wu Changyun quickly grabbed a street vendor's bench to block it. He had never tried this in real life, but it was effective. After blocking it, Wu Changyun kicked Ma Jun to the ground.

I didn't expect these two guys to be so good at fighting. The seven or eight thugs who had just been chasing them in the car also got off the car, and the number of people suddenly doubled.

"What should we do?" Although Fushun was also a good fighter, no one could withstand fifteen machetes.

Wu Changyun saw that some of Chang Sihu's men were already injured. If the fight continued, someone on Chang Sihu's side would be killed. This was not going to work. Even if he asked Zhu Youzai for help, if the other party found out that he had alienated Henry and Bo Hao, Zhu Youzai would probably not be able to save himself.

Just when Wu Changyun was in trouble, the uncles and aunts in the community came out. Leading the group was an old man in a white vest. He was hunched over and holding a cane in his hand. He was almost the oldest person in the crowd. Behind him were countless people, including office workers with glasses and older sisters who took care of their children at home. Some of them were not much different in age from Wu Changyun.

"Our village has been law-abiding for so many years. Why do you people come to bully us?" the old man said in a hoarse voice.

"Damn, what's going on?" Ma Jun had never seen such a scene. Although these people were not thugs, they could be crushed to pieces if they rushed forward in such a rush.

"Uncle, don't be so arrogant. This person has offended our brother Hao. We only want him. People who are not related should stay away."

"Chang Yun is from our village. If you take him away, you will be making things difficult for our village." The old man called Wu Chang Yun to stand beside him.

"That's right, Brother Yun is from our village. Support Brother Yun, support Brother Yun!"

There was a burst of shouting at the scene, and even Wu Changyun did not expect that this was not because of his strong appeal or good popularity, but mainly because Chang Sihu and his friends were too evil, causing complaints from the entire community. Since being disciplined by Wu Changyun, not only did Chang Sihu bow and scrape to Wu Changyun, but these residents also understood that there was a ruthless person in this building who specialized in dealing with evil people. He had practiced martial arts and came from a martial arts background. He was polite and enthusiastic to others in his daily life and was a good person.
