Chapter 60 A Family of Four in a Time of Crisis

A few days later, Wang Fan and his group left the island.

The journey was smooth sailing. Wang Fan gazed at the boundless sea, pondering his future direction.

He was still thinking about recruiting female crew members, figuring out where to look.

The three women chatted and laughed on the side, creating a relaxed atmosphere.

Suddenly, Wang Fan saw two ships in the distance, one large and one small, seemingly chasing each other.

The larger ship was aggressive, constantly shooting arrows at the smaller one, while the people on the smaller ship appeared to be in a state of panic.

Wang Fan quickly took out his binoculars and took a closer look; it appeared to be a family of four on the small boat.

Two adults, accompanied by two beautiful girls, were frantically dodging incoming arrows.

The Black Wind Alliance flag flew high on the large ship, and a group of thugs shouted arrogantly.

The scene shifts to the Black Wind Alliance, where a one-eyed thug leads them, roaring with a ferocious expression, "Don't let them escape! Kill the men, and capture the women!"

The henchmen beside him let out a strange cry and fired arrows even more frequently, as if they wanted to completely drown the small boat in a rain of arrows.

Meanwhile, on the small boat, the father could only struggle to steer the vessel, trying to dodge wave after wave of attacks.

The mother anxiously searched for something to stop the arrows, but there was very little usable on the small boat.

The older sister, Su Yaqi, held her younger sister, Su Yalin, tightly in her arms, her eyes filled with fear and despair.

Su Yaqi bit her lip, tears welling up in her eyes. She whispered to her sister, "Don't be afraid, Yalin, everything will be alright."

But her own body was trembling uncontrollably.

Su Yalin was still young, and was already pale with fright. She could only hold tightly to her sister's clothes.

However, due to the dense rain of arrows, casualties soon occurred.

An arrow struck the father in the leg, and he collapsed to the ground in agony, instantly losing control of the boat.

The ship began to rock, making it even more difficult to evade the attack.

The mother rushed towards the father in despair, tears streaming down her face.

The older sister, Su Yaqi, and the younger sister, Su Yalin, rushed towards their father, crying out, "Dad, how are you?"

Despite the excruciating pain, the father roared, "Don't come any closer! Stay away and don't come out!"

The two girls were in tears, but dared not disobey their father's orders.

However, seeing that the boat was about to go out of control, the father gritted his teeth, endured the pain in his leg, and struggled to stand up and steer the boat.

With every movement, large beads of sweat appeared on his forehead, and his face grew increasingly pale.

But his eyes were incredibly determined, filled with a resolve to lead his family out of this predicament.

Seeing that someone was injured, the members of the Black Wind Alliance became even more arrogant and unrestrained.

"Haha, let's see how long you can hold out!" "Surrender now, and maybe we'll spare your lives!"

But the family on the small boat showed no sign of giving in; the father steered the boat, dodging left and right.

Seeing this, the leader of the Black Wind Alliance roared angrily, "They won't listen to reason, so they'll have to drink the penalty cup! Increase the attack! I want to see how long they can hold out!"

With his command, the Black Wind Alliance fired arrows with increasing density, like a locust swarm passing through.

The situation on the small boat became increasingly difficult, and the father's strength was rapidly depleting.

The mother was frantic with worry but powerless to help. She gritted her teeth, picked up a worn-out wooden plank, and tried to shield her father from the flying arrows.

But the small wooden plank was of little use in the dense rain of arrows, and the mother's arm was grazed by arrows.

But she did not give up and continued to swing the wooden board tenaciously.

When the older sister, Su Yaqi, and the younger sister, Su Yalin, saw their mother injured, they were filled with anger and wanted to rebel.

But they had no ranged weapons and could only watch helplessly from the corner.

"Why did these bastards do this to us!" Su Yalin cried out, her voice trembling with sobs.

The older sister, Su Yaqi, clenched her fists so tightly that her nails dug into her palms, but there was nothing she could do. All she could do at that moment was to protect her younger sister tightly behind her.

"Ya Lin, don't be afraid, your sister is here." Su Ya Qi's voice trembled, but her eyes showed determination.

The younger sister, Su Yalin, hid in her older sister's arms and sobbed, "Sister, I'm scared."

By this time, the small boat was riddled with arrows and in a state of chaos. The father's injuries were getting worse, and the mother was almost exhausted.

Suddenly, the mother was struck by a flying arrow. She groaned in pain and fell to the ground.

The older sister, Su Yaqi, and the younger sister, Su Yalin, hugged their mother in a panic, tears streaming down their faces like a burst dam.

"Mom, are you alright!" the two sisters cried out.

Despite his own pain, the father tried to check on his mother's injuries.

But as he watched the Black Wind Alliance's massive ship approach, his heart sank to the bottom.

"Is our family going to perish here today?" the father muttered to himself in despair.

He turned to look at his injured wife and crying daughter, and said with deep remorse, "I'm sorry! I'm useless! I couldn't protect you."

The mother, forcing back her pain, said with difficulty, "Don't say that, quick... quick, take your daughters and run, don't worry about me!"

The father's eyes widened, and he roared, "How could I possibly abandon you!"

Su Yalin, the younger sister, cried and grabbed her father, saying, "Dad, we can't leave Mom behind!"

The older sister, Su Yaqi, also clung tightly to her father's clothes, sobbing as she said, "Dad, my sister is right. Even if we die, our family will die together."

At this moment, an even more arrogant voice came from the Black Wind Alliance.

"Run! Why aren't you running anymore?" shouted a tall, thin henchman.

The one-eyed thug said viciously, "Hmph, once we catch them, we'll throw the men into the sea to feed the fish, and the women, well, we'll have to enjoy them properly."

Another burly guy chimed in, "Boss, these two girls are really pretty. We brothers are so lucky."

Hearing these foul words, the father roared angrily, "You beasts, you deserve to die a horrible death!"

The mother hugged her two daughters tightly, her eyes filled with fear and despair.

The older sister, Su Yaqi, had a raging fire in her eyes. "Even if I die, I will not let you succeed!"

The younger sister, Su Yalin, trembled with fear, but stubbornly said, "Sister, I'm not afraid of them."

The one-eyed thug from the Black Wind Alliance laughed wildly, "Haha, still so stubborn even when death is imminent! You'll be crying later. Men, get ready, we'll grab them as soon as we get close!"

A small-time crook with a pointed face replied maliciously, "Boss, just you wait and see."

Another henchman with a pockmarked face chimed in, "Hehe, once we catch them, we'll have to give the brothers a good time."

Upon hearing this, the father's eyes widened in anger, and he wished he could rush up and fight them to the death.

The older sister, Su Yaqi, bit her lip tightly, her fingernails digging into her flesh.

At this infuriating moment.

One of the henchmen saw a boat rushing towards them and shouted in panic, "Boss, something's wrong! A boat is coming!"

The one-eyed thug glared at him and cursed, "What's the panic...!"
