Chapter 2 Black Robe

After Ye Shang finished sorting through her memories, she realized that this was her own body. Although she didn't know why her soul was moving back and forth without any abnormality, it was as silent as water.

Ye Shang sorted through all the food in the house. It had been two months since the zombie outbreak. To be honest, the only reason he had been able to stay at home for two months was because he and his grandmother had been hoarding food when they had nothing to do. That's how they survived by being frugal.

Although her body has recovered somewhat, she had a fever for a whole day and night before, and she doesn't know what changes have occurred. She remembers watching TV news and seeing that some people turn into zombies when they have a fever, while others develop superpowers. She doesn't know what kind of superpowers she has.

In the early days of the apocalypse, many people hadn't realized what was happening yet. Instead, because of the water and power outages, they managed to stockpile a lot of water. Now, even if they were frugal, it wouldn't work. Without electricity, it would be okay, but without water, they couldn't eat the food either.

Ye Shang simply ignored everything and launched a massive sweep, packing everything in the house into his spatial ring, including clothes, beds, sofas, kitchen utensils, and all sorts of other items.

Then we went to the room where my grandmother lived. There was a stone slab on the ground. Lifting it, we found it full of stored food. Because cooking would be too troublesome and would require a lot of water, she mainly ate dry food or snacks that she had stored herself. Her room was the same as my grandmother's. There was a stone slab underneath where she would work to earn money to buy food. She bought all kinds of junk food with a long shelf life.

My grandmother had told me off several times, but there was nothing she could do. Although our lifestyles and habits were similar, this was the only time she acted so stubbornly as a young person.

Unfortunately, she had almost finished eating her food, and now all that was left was the food from her grandmother's place.

Lifting the stone slab revealed that almost the entire room was filled with rice, flour, and oil. My goodness, Grandma, did you foresee the end times before you passed away?

Ye Shang barely had a moment to spare, moving all the food into his spatial storage space. Like a little squirrel, he worked for half an hour to finish.

When she came out, she walked around the house again and moved all her clothes, clothes, and TV cabinet inside.

The spatial ring had been with her for over a thousand years and possessed some spiritual energy. Almost everything she threw in would be instantly organized, without appearing dirty or messy. Even her robes were organized into the wardrobe she had just thrown in.

She moved until there was nothing left to move, and then she stared blankly at the empty house for a moment. The house where she had lived for seventeen years was almost fading from her memory, but perhaps because she had returned, the memory became clearer and clearer.

At seventeen, she should have gone to university after the summer vacation.

Her ideal life was to continue living a carefree life as an elder in the Eternal Sword Sect of the Xuan Tian Continent after becoming an immortal, but unfortunately, the heavens wouldn't allow it.

Ye Shang covered her eyes, leaned against the wall, and finally chuckled. Perhaps fate had never been on her side.

After she packed up all her things, she changed into her own robe, a black robe, which was simply sewn, but the cloud pattern on it was extremely delicate, and even the whole body was covered with formations. Although it was a little inconvenient to move, it did not affect her. After all, she had been wearing these for thousands of years. The most important thing was that wearing the robe at least would not be easily bitten by zombies.

Her robes were almost entirely black with simple patterns. She hadn't been paid much for the workmanship when she had the embroiderer make them; she was very poor and had spent almost all of it on materials for refining.

Also because it's black... it's cheap and doesn't get dirty easily.

The house was no longer habitable. All the cabinets, tables, and other items blocking the door and bed were moved to the space, and only then did we see the bloodstains on them. Even the door had been slashed in several places.

I don't know if it's a zombie or something man-made....

Ye Shang carried her pink backpack, which she had used for many years. It was bought for her by her grandmother when she was admitted to high school. It had a good capacity and could hold a lot of books.

But it's empty now. She plans to find some supplies first, and then head to the human-built base. Although she doesn't know how many there are, the government must have built some. She'll go to City A first, since it has always been the national operations center.

At this point in time, some places may have already reached a certain level of stability, but this is also a time of great chaos. When there is no order in the world, human life is the least valuable thing.

At least she had to live, even if it meant just barely scraping by. She had held this same thought back in the Xuan Tian Continent.

Ye Shang took out the Light Shadow Sword. Since no one was around, he decided to go outside and take a look.

As soon as she stepped out of the room, she saw a monster with half its head hanging off in front of her. Ye Shang drew his sword and began hacking at it.

Only after she had chopped the monster into pieces did she step back several paces, still shaken, thinking, "So this is a zombie? It's really ugly."

She had a blank expression, her hair was tied in a ponytail, and after leaving the gate, she didn't actually go out completely.

It has a little bit of energy, although it's not as pure as spiritual energy, and I don't know what kind of energy it is, but at least it has some power.

Climbing over the wall and looking outside, this street was alright; there weren't many zombies because there were few people. But once you left the main city area, it wouldn't be so simple, as it was usually packed with people.
