Many of the pieces of furniture in the house were brought out by Ye Shang. Even the mattresses, quilts, and other items in each of their rooms were taken out and piled up in the living room before they went to their rooms.
They took each item to their own room and unpacked it themselves.
The living room has almost all the furniture you could need, plus two long sofas so everyone can sit or lie down.
If other people came in, they would even think this was the living conditions before the apocalypse.
After Ye Shang finished speaking, a smile flashed in Xie Qingye's eyes. "Okay, good."
After the discussion, everyone went back to their rooms to rest; they still had some time to clean up.
Several children were playing together in the living room, and Ye Shang brought them some toys and a slide.
When they were first taken out and placed in that corner, even Xie Qingyuan couldn't help but complain, "They're not eight or nine years old, they're not..." He was only halfway through his sentence when he saw there was a six-year-old child, and he immediately stopped thinking about it.
Zhang Yiyang played with the three children for a while with a smile, then went back to his room to tidy up.
Ye Shang lay lazily on the sofa, continuing to study the various software applications on the computer, looking as curious as a child who had just received a new toy.
We ate dinner late today, so we didn't cook dinner. After the children went back to their rooms, Xie Qingyuan came out groggily, "Big brother, I think I have a fever."
His voice was weak with excitement. How could he not be excited? This was his chance to live or die, a belated awakening! His adolescent spirit was reignited.
Ye Shang sat up, turned his head to look at him, and beckoned to him, "Come here, I'll tie you up."
Xie Qingyuan was overjoyed. It was finally his turn. He obediently walked over and stood in front of Ye Shang, feeling dizzy and drooping his head. He whispered, "Boss, tie it looser. I'm afraid it will hurt."
"Hmm." Ye Shang stood up, put the rope around his body, and tied a knot after it was tight.
"Hey boss, you said you'd loosen it up a bit, why are you tied up so tightly!" Xie Qingyuan complained, his eyes filled with tears.
Ye Shang frowned slightly. "Is it very tight? Then I'll untie it and wrap it around again."
"No, no, no, forget it, let's just leave it like this. I'll lie down first, standing is too tiring."
Xie Qingyuan dared not let her go around again, what if it got even tighter? The current tightness was just right.
With a peaceful smile, he jumped onto the sofa to the side and lay down. Before closing his eyes, he said, "Boss, why don't you sleep on this sofa tonight and keep an eye on me? I'm afraid that if I don't make it, you can kill me right away."
Although Xie Qingyuan was very confident in himself, no one could guarantee anything. Even if he turned into a zombie, he would never eat or hurt people; he would rather die.
Ye Shang raised an eyebrow slightly, glanced at him, and replied, "Okay."
She lay on the sofa and stopped looking at the personal terminal. Xie Qingyuan usually seemed brainless, mischievous, and prone to chuunibyou, but undeniably, he had a rare childlike heart.
The fact that no one came down from the room meant that Xie Qingyuan hadn't bothered them. He went straight to the living room because Ye Shang was sitting there. With her there, killing someone who had just turned into a zombie would be a sure thing.
So he lay relatively quietly on the sofa the whole time. He was burning up with fever and feeling groggy in the middle of the night, as if all the moisture in his body was being evaporated, but he just endured it.
He didn't yell; his lips were tightly shut, and he was writhing in pain.
Ye Shang barely slept, staying up all night, even sitting on the sofa next to Xie Qingyuan.
After an unknown amount of time, Xie Qingyuan's struggles weakened, and the sweat on his body soaked through the clothes he had just changed into during the day, as well as the ropes.
He was soaking wet, as if he had been pulled out of the water, but his face was flushed and his lips were peeling, indicating that he was somewhat delirious from the fever.
His clothes and hair were all wet, but they dried quickly, and this went on until the middle of the night when he finally calmed down.
Ye Shang got up to check on him. The moment her cold fingertips touched his forehead, Xie Qingyuan unconsciously murmured, "Mom... Mom."
Ye Shang heard this, and withdrew her hand expressionlessly. It seemed that everything was alright. However, she did not go back to her room, but instead lay down on the sofa and began to sleep.
Early in the morning, Ye Shang was the first to get up. She propped her head up on the sofa armrest and looked at Xie Qingyuan, whose fever had obviously subsided, but who was still unconsciously calling for his mother.
Xie Qingye gets up relatively early because he is in charge of the meals for this week, and the next person will be on the menu next week.
He spotted the figure in the living room at a glance, lazily propping his head up and looking at his silly younger brother.
"Huh? He's been tied up." After getting down, he asked, "Did he have an attack?"
Ye Shang looked up at him and said, "Mm."
Seeing that her silly younger brother was still calling for "Mom," Xie Qingye stopped worrying and went to make breakfast, asking, "Do you want noodles for breakfast?"
"Either is fine," Ye Shang replied. She had barely slept all night, and although she cultivated for a while, she stopped when she saw that she didn't have much energy left, which made her feel a bit sleepy.
