Chapter 89: Change of Attitude
The next morning, Qingli woke up from a good night's sleep, a smile still lingering on her lips.
He rubbed his eyes and, seeing Ye Shang standing at the door, called out in a slightly hoarse voice, "Ah Shang."
Hearing Qingli call her, Ye Shang turned around and walked over. "Awake so early?"
Qingli glanced at the sky where the sun had already risen, then silently checked the time on her personal device; it was almost ten o'clock.
"Is it still early?" He raised his round eyes and glared at Ye Shang.
Ye Shang coughed twice in a serious manner: "I saw you were sleeping too soundly, so I didn't wake you. Those people outside have already been dealt with."
Qingli felt even worse now, his eyes filled with accusation: "Why didn't you wake me up?"
Ye Shang took the blanket off him and handed him toiletries, saying, "It's okay, you can go check later. No one's cleaning up."
Qingli then accepted a brand new set of toiletries. He remained silent. He used to bring his own, but now that their relationship was different, even his treatment had been upgraded.
After he finished washing up, he saw that there was now a table in the empty courtyard, with delicate little cakes and a cup of warm milk on it. Yes, it was warm, and steaming hot!
He blurted out, "Ah Shang, you've changed too quickly. You've never done this before."
Every time, they just throw in a bunch of unpalatable bread and a bottle of milk that hasn't even been opened, or they just drink mineral water first thing in the morning.
Even the milk is warm now!
Ye Shang looked at him with feigned confusion, her eyes full of amusement: "What? You don't want it? Then I'll change my mind a little slower."
Qingli quickly laughed and said, "No, no, no, I like it when you treat me differently."
After saying that, he sat down in the chair, drank milk, and ate small cakes until he finished five small cakes before stopping. "Delicious."
Ye Shang took out a tissue and handed it to him: "You really do like sweets."
Qingli nodded slightly and readily admitted, "Yes, I think desserts bring a sense of happiness."
When the two went out and arrived at the place from the previous night, it was a river of blood. The people inside had died tragically, but everyone's eyes were open, and their expressions showed fear, terror, and helplessness.
There aren't many good spots on your body. How does that feel?
Even the death by a thousand cuts is no better than this.
When Tian Cui saw the two of them come out, she hurriedly waved her hand and said, "It wasn't me who did it, it was all done by that group of people." She was almost trembling as she spoke.
She had never seen the ferocity of those fifteen men last night. They all forced themselves to endure it when they saw her. If she hadn't repeatedly and patiently explained that she hadn't eaten the food and hadn't colluded with them, they wouldn't have believed her when she told them to run away.
After the fifteen people finished drinking the porridge and rested for a while, they asked her to lead the way to find the group of people. They found that the young and strong men were lying unconscious, so Tian Cui poured water on them to wake them up.
Of the fifteen people, five had awakened supernatural abilities. If it weren't for the traditional Chinese medicine, they wouldn't have been in such a predicament so easily. They stepped forward and tied all of them up.
Then, with bloodshot eyes, they stepped forward like ferocious beasts, tearing at them until each of them bit off a piece of flesh and spat it at their feet, stomping on it and grinding it with their feet.
As if crushing all hatred under their feet, one of them took out a knife and sliced the first person piece by piece.
Whether they were girls or children, everyone was tearfully slicing through their eyes at these people until they were all bloodied and mangled and lifeless.
