Several security guards rushed up and held Lin Yaozu tightly.
"Let me go! Let me go! You bunch of bastards!"
Lin Yaozu struggled frantically, roaring continuously.
"Lin Yaozu, please cooperate with our work." A court staff member walked up to Lin Yaozu and said sternly.
"Cooperate? Cooperate with your mother!" Lin Yaozu cursed, "You're robbing us! You're committing a crime!"
“Lin Yaozu, if you continue to obstruct us from performing our duties, we will take coercive measures,” a court staff member warned.
“Coercive measures? Come on! If you’re so capable, arrest me!” Lin Yaozu shouted hysterically.
"Take him away!" At the order of the court staff, several bailiffs stepped forward and forcibly took Lin Yaozu away.
"Let me go! Let me go! You bunch of robbers!" Lin Yaozu struggled and cursed all the way, but was eventually taken to the police car.
As the police car drove away, the employees of the Lin Group were all dumbfounded.
"President Lin has been arrested?"
"The company has been seized?"
"What...what should we do?"
"..."
A sense of despair spread through the crowd.
The Lin Group building was sealed off.
"The Lin Group has gone bankrupt!"
"Lin Yaozu has been arrested!"
"..."
The news spread rapidly throughout the city, causing a huge sensation.
“The Lin Group… is really finished…” Lin Yaozu sat in the detention center, staring blankly at the ceiling.
He traveled around trying to find funding to fill the company's financial gaps.
"Mr. Li, please, please help me! If you can lend me some money, I promise to pay you back with interest!"
"Mr. Wang, please help me out, considering our years of cooperation!"
"..."
He pleaded with everyone he knew in a humble voice, but all he received was indifference and rejection.
"Lin Yaozu, you're only now realizing you need to ask for help? Where were you all this time?"
"Lin Yaozu, you've ruined the company like this, and you still have the nerve to come to me for a loan?"
The various sarcastic remarks pierced Lin Yaozu's heart like knives.
The news of Lin Yaozu's arrest spread like wildfire throughout the city. Naturally, it also reached Lin Fan's ears.
"The Lin Group has gone bankrupt... Lin Yaozu has been arrested..." Lin Fan sat in his large office chair, his fingers lightly tapping the desk, his eyes deep and revealing no emotion. His assistant stood beside him, not daring to breathe.
"Faster than I imagined..." Lin Fan muttered to himself, his voice low. He had originally thought that, given Lin Yaozu's personality and the doting affection of the Lin couple, the Lin Group could at least hold on for a while longer. He never expected it to collapse so quickly.
This, of course, owes some credit to his role in pushing things along.
"Mr. Lin, the master and madam have arrived," the secretary said softly as she knocked on the door and entered.
"Let them in," Lin Fan said calmly, his tone devoid of any emotion.
As soon as Lin's parents entered the door, they saw Lin Fan sitting there, looking calm and composed.
"Lin Fan! Your brother is in trouble, and you still have the mind to sit here?" Lin's mother questioned him as soon as she entered the door, her voice sharp and harsh, completely devoid of her usual kindness.
Lin Fan raised his head, looked at his mother, and said coldly, "What does his accident have to do with me?"
"You!" Lin's mother was speechless, pointing at Lin Fan and trembling with anger.
“Lin Fan, I know you have a problem with Yaozu, but now is not the time to throw a tantrum,” Lin’s father said, his tone relatively gentle. “Your brother has been arrested, and the company has been seized. You can’t just stand by and watch the Lin family be destroyed, can you?”
"Family destroyed and people killed?" Lin Fan sneered, a mocking smile curving his lips. "When has the Lin family ever treated us like family? When you supported the division of the family, did you ever consider my feelings? Now that something's happened, you come to me?"
Lin Fan's words were like a resounding slap across the face of Lin's parents. Their expressions turned pale and then red, becoming extremely grim.
"Lin Fan, we know we wronged you when we separated the family, but we did it for your own good!" Lin's mother tried to explain, her voice tinged with guilt.
"For my own good?" Lin Fan's eyes grew even colder.
"Doing what's best for me means kicking me out of the house? Doing what's best for me means making me watch you hand the company over to an incompetent person? Doing what's best for me means making me bear all the pressure and criticism?"
"You...you're talking nonsense!" Lin's mother was speechless after Lin Fan's words and could only resort to sophistry.
"When did we kick you out of the house? You left on your own!"
"I'm leaving on my own?" Lin Fan laughed, but his laughter was filled with sorrow.
"If you hadn't forced me, would I have left? You knew exactly what kind of person Lin Yaozu was, yet you still handed the company over to him. Did you even consider the consequences?"
“We…” Lin’s parents lowered their heads, not daring to look Lin Fan in the eye.
"What's the point of saying all this now?" Lin Fan's voice was full of exhaustion. "The Lin Group is finished, and Lin Yaozu is in jail. There's no use you coming to me."
"Lin Fan, I know you're still angry with us, but we're truly desperate." Lin's father's tone was almost pleading. "Your brother is still in jail, can you... can you think of something?"
"A solution?" Lin Fan looked coldly at his parents. "What solutions do you think I have? Do you expect me to bail Lin Yaozu out? Or do you expect me to buy back the Lin Group?"
"I..." Lin's parents were speechless after Lin Fan's question.
"Lin Fan, I know you have resentment in your heart, but your brother is still your family. You can't just stand by and watch him die!" Lin's mother began to appeal to his emotions, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Family?" Lin Fan's eyes were full of mockery. "When have you ever treated me as family? In your eyes, I'm nothing more than a tool for making money, a pawn to be used!"
"Lin Fan, we..." Lin's parents wanted to explain, but found themselves speechless.
"Alright, you don't need to say anymore." Lin Fan interrupted them. "I won't help you. You can leave."
"Lin Fan, are you really this heartless?" Lin's mother was still unwilling to give up and wanted to say something more.
"Heartless?" Lin Fan sneered. "When you were heartless towards me back then, did you ever think about today?"
"We..." Lin's mother was speechless after Lin Fan's words, and tears finally streamed down her face.
"Get out!" Lin Fan slammed his hand on the table, stood up, pointed to the door, and shouted sternly.
Lin's parents were startled by Lin Fan's roar; they had never seen Lin Fan so angry before.
"Lin Fan, you'll regret this!" Lin's mother said before leaving, leaving behind a harsh remark.
"Regret?" Lin Fan sneered. "My biggest regret is that I didn't see through your true colors back then!"
Lin's parents left dejectedly.
