"Mom, what's wrong?"
Lin Qing watched as Dong Xiulan opened and closed her mouth repeatedly, but no sound came out, so she asked in confusion.
Dong Xiulan pulled Lin Qing aside, leaned close to Lin Qing's ear, and whispered, "Qingqing, you're pregnant now. You can't do anything reckless when you're doing 'that' at night. What if you accidentally hurt the baby? If it's really too much, just bear with it and wait until the baby is born."

Just before getting into the car, Lin Jianguo patted Gu Nanxun on the shoulder and said to him with a serious expression.
Gu Nanxun nodded seriously to Lin Jianguo: "Dad, don't worry! I will take good care of Qingqing and will treat her well and love her for the rest of my life."
Lin Jianguo nodded. "You don't need to swear. Just remember what I said."
“Okay, I’ve got it.” Gu Nanxun said seriously.
"Beep beep beep..."
The train slowly started moving. Dong Xiulan and Lin Jianguo sat in their seats, leaning against the window and waving to Lin Qing, Gu Nanxun, and Lin Yunfeng outside the train.
“Go back!” Dong Xiulan shouted, her voice choked with emotion.
Seeing this, Lin Qing couldn't help but tear up; emotions that hadn't been there before suddenly welled up. Gu Nanxun gently put his arm around her shoulder to comfort her.
The train slowly started moving and gradually disappeared into the distance. Lin Qing held Gu Nanxun's hand tightly, watching the train go until it disappeared from sight.
She turned her head, wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes, and said, "Nanxun, let's go back."
Gu Nanxun gently stroked Lin Qing's hair and said softly, "Okay."
Lin Yunfeng stood to the side, looking at his sister's red eyes, and suddenly said loudly, "Alright, let's go back. A new year, a new beginning, let's all do our best."
The three of them left the train station together and embarked on their journey home. The sunlight shone on them, warm and bright, foreshadowing a new year full of hope and challenges.

In the days that followed, Lin Qing and Gu Nanxun's lives returned to normal. Lin Qing focused on her pregnancy, while Gu Nanxun took care of her while studying.
During this time, Lin Qing bought an invisibility talisman from Wang Xuyao. The two would occasionally ride a hovercar to do charity work and help those in need.
Their lives, though busy, were filled with love and warmth. Lin Qing's belly grew bigger every day, and Gu Nanxun took even better care of her.

Lin Qing's due date was fast approaching.
