Chapter 33 Amazing, My System

Stepping into the cabin, one finds a one-bedroom, one-living room, one-kitchen, and one-bathroom house. The living room contains the pair of rosewood chairs and the chaise lounge that Lin Qing used for signing in; the rest of the space is furnished, but not yet decorated.

Lin Qing first entered the bedroom and carefully selected a large European-style double bed from the storage room. She placed it in the center of the room, with two matching bedside tables on either side. A row of wardrobes lined the right wall, and a window was on the left. Outside the window, everything was hazy, indicating that the room hadn't been upgraded yet. Lin Qing installed a blue-gray curtain and found a fluffy gray rug in the storage room to spread on the floor. Instantly, the room became warm and inviting.

Stepping out of the bedroom, Lin Qing entered the living room and placed a three-seater sofa and a single sofa against the wall. In front of the sofas was a tea table, which could be used as a coffee table or for making tea. Opposite was a low TV stand with a television mounted on the wall. Next to the television was an electrical outlet. Lin Qing tried plugging it in and turning on the television; surprisingly, it worked, but unfortunately, there were no programs. She had no idea where the electricity came from.

"System, where does the electricity in the house come from?"

Lin Qing asked, puzzled.

"Yes, the electricity stored in the system."

"Where does your electricity come from?"

"I can absorb lightning from thunderstorms, including the electricity you use in reality. The electricity you're using now is from my previous storage, so you can use it without worry. I automatically store electricity every time there's thunder."

"System, you're amazing! Now I'll have complete freedom when it comes to electricity!"

"Yes, host, you will never have to worry about electricity again."

Hearing Lin Qing's praise, the system said somewhat shyly.

To the right of the sofa was a large balcony, where Lin Qing placed a large rocking chair and a coffee table next to it. Lin Qing imagined herself lying in the rocking chair, reading a book and drinking tea.

Outside the balcony are fields, where the newly planted wheat has already sprouted, a lush green expanse full of vitality.

To the left of the sofa, Lin Qing placed a wine cabinet, storing some red wine she had taken from the warehouse. Further to the left was the front door, and to the right of the front door, Lin Qing placed a large shoe cabinet. Between the shoe cabinet and the kitchen door, Lin Qing placed a large double-door refrigerator, and also laid a rug on the living room floor.

Lin Qing put away the rose chair and chaise lounge. The modern furniture in the room just didn't match the rose chair and chaise lounge, so she could only put them away for now and wait until she found similar furniture later.

Next, Lin Qing went to the kitchen. Unlike the living room and bedroom, the kitchen was already furnished. At the far end of the kitchen were three stoves, like gas stoves from later generations. Lin Qing turned on the fire and found it was usable. To the right was a countertop. The countertop was made of some unknown material, but it felt smooth and delicate to the touch. Here, one could put some oil, salt, soy sauce, vinegar, and other seasonings, and there was also room for a large cutting board. Next to it was a sink, and the faucet was a temperature-controlled faucet. The water temperature was exactly what one wanted, very intelligent.

Next to the sink were two machines. Lin Qing examined them for a while. The first machine was a cooking machine; she simply input the menu, and it would automatically connect to the kitchen storage to retrieve the ingredients and cook the food—very convenient. The second machine was a dishwasher; she just put the dishes and utensils in, and it would automatically wash them and then automatically store them in the cupboard below. This was truly a lazy person's dream!

The next wall around the corner was lined with storage cabinets, just like the ones in the warehouse. The only difference was that these had transparent doors that could be opened outwards, while the warehouse cabinets had drawers, a total of 50 compartments.

Lin Qing thought 50 slots were quite a lot, considering the warehouse only had 20. However, when Lin Qing started putting things in, she realized it wasn't enough at all. Each slot could only hold one type of item, and Lin Qing needed so many things—hundreds of different kinds of seasonings alone. Not to mention vegetables, rice, noodles, and more; it really wasn't enough.

Lin Qing checked the expansion options and was relieved to find that expanding one square only cost 100 gold coins. Without hesitation, Lin Qing expanded ten squares. However, when he tried to expand the eleventh square, the cost jumped to 200 gold coins per square – and the cost kept increasing! Lin Qing had no choice but to give up and try again later.

Then Lin Qing put some commonly used seasonings and vegetables in the storage cabinet, followed by rice, millet, flour, cornmeal, black beans, soybeans, mung beans and other common ingredients.

Then Lin Qing went to the cooking machine and tried inputting the recipe for hot and sour shredded potatoes. Inputting it was very simple; she just had to think of the steps for making hot and sour shredded potatoes in her head, and the recipe would appear on the panel. After inputting it, Lin Qing clicked on the panel to view it, and saw that the dish name "Hot and Sour Shredded Potatoes" was displayed. Clicking on the dish name brought up the recipe, and then she clicked "Make".

"Ding... Hot and sour shredded potatoes are ready. Please collect them, host."

"System, if I don't collect it, will it stay fresh inside?"

"If the host doesn't remove it, the food will remain in its freshest state forever."

"Can I continue making it without charging?"

"Yes, currently the maximum storage capacity is 10 servings of food."

"Currently the largest, system, you mean it can be upgraded?"

Yes, it's level 1 now. A level 2 house can be upgraded to level 2.

"Host, how many gold coins do I need to upgrade my house to level 2?"

"Upgrading a house to level 2 requires 100,000 gold coins."

"It has increased tenfold."

Lin Qing's mouth dropped open in astonishment!

Lin Qing took out the hot and sour shredded potatoes, picked up some with her chopsticks, and tasted them.

"System, this is so delicious! It's even better than what I eat at fancy restaurants."

"Of course, the products produced by the system are absolutely top-notch. If your menu input could be more precise, it would taste even better."

"There's nothing I can do, I'm just too poor right now. Once I have more gold coins, I'll use Baidu to search for some menus and upload them."

"I remember there were a few cookbooks in the ancient books we got from the scrap yard. You can input them into it, host."

The system was somewhat speechless. What good recipes could there be from Baidu? They were all just generic ones.

"That's right, how could I forget! It's a recipe from an ancient book. I'll type it in when I have time. The system is so smart, it's fantastic."

"This is great, system. Please remember to remind me if I forget anything in the future!"

"Don't worry, I will remind the host."

The system said shyly.

After leaving the kitchen, Lin Qing went to the bathroom. The bathroom wasn't very big, but it had everything: a sink, cabinets, a toilet, and a bathtub. Seeing the bathtub, Lin Qing's eyes lit up. It was a pity she couldn't take a bath in her spatial dimension right now; what a shame.

Lin Qing happily looked around the space for a long time before finally leaving and going to sleep.

In her sleep, Lin Qing's lips curled up slightly, as if she were having a beautiful dream.
