Lin Qing and Gu Nanxun sat together, eating and chatting in a warm atmosphere.
"Qingqing, eat more. Exams take a toll on your energy, so you need to replenish your nutrition." Gu Nanxun put a piece of braised pork on Lin Qing's plate.
"Thank you, Brother Nanxun." Lin Qing accepted it with a smile.
After the meal, everyone helped clear the table, and then gathered together to chat, discussing the exam results and future plans.
"Nanxun, which university do you plan to apply to?" Lin Yunfeng asked with concern.
"I want to apply to the Logistics Academy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, what about you?" Gu Nanxun replied.
The Logistics Academy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army was the predecessor of the National Defense University. In December 1985, it merged with the Military Academy and the Political Academy to form the National Defense University.
"I... I only need a university in Beijing, anywhere is fine. What about you, little sister?" Lin Yunfeng said with a smile, then turned to Lin Qing and asked.
"I want to apply to the medical school of Imperial Capital University," Lin Qing replied with a smile.
"Peking University! Good luck, little sister." Lin Yunfeng swallowed and encouraged her with a smile.
"Sister Xianghong, Fengjiao, what about you?" Lin Qing turned around and asked Lu Xianghong and Xu Fengjiao.
"I want to apply to a teachers' college and become a teacher in the future!"
Lu Xianghong said with a smile, and Xu Fengjiao nodded vigorously beside her: "I want to learn how to make clothes, I want to make lots of beautiful clothes in the future!"
"Being a teacher is great too. If you want to learn how to make clothes, you can study fashion design!"
Lin Qing said with a smile.
After chatting for a while, Lin Qing, Gu Nanxun, Lin Yunfeng, Zhao Xi, and the others went to rest, as they had a math exam to take that afternoon. Xu Fengjiao, Lu Xianghong, Chen Bin, and Wang Haoran, however, didn't sleep; instead, they used their lunch break to work on practice problems.
In the afternoon, during the math exam, Lin Qing, just like in the morning, glanced through the test paper after receiving it. The number of questions wasn't too large, nor were they too difficult. In addition to the regular questions, there were two bonus questions at the end, each worth 30 points. These 30 points were extra and not part of the total 100 points.
However, these two questions were a bit more difficult than the others, but Lin Qing took a look and realized that she was still able to solve them.
Seeing this, Lin Qing felt more at ease. She began to calm down and answer the questions carefully. Although the questions were relatively simple, Lin Qing still did them seriously. After finishing the questions, she checked them three times before handing in her paper and leaving the examination room.
Lin Qing walked to the meeting place, where Gu Nanxun was already waiting on the tractor.
"Nanxun, why are you out so early! When did you come out?"
Lin Qing was delighted to see Gu Nanxun and went up to ask him questions.
"The questions were pretty easy; I finished them and they were released shortly after! Are you cold?"
After Gu Nanxun finished speaking, he reached out and helped Lin Qing tie her scarf, then asked.
It was already evening, and a light breeze had started to blow, feeling like a knife scraping my face.
"I'm not cold at all; I feel warm all over right now."
Lin Qing put her hand in Gu Nanxun's pocket and then said with a smile.
Soon after, everyone came out of the classroom one after another. When they saw each other, they couldn't help but smile at each other, and each of them had a confident look on their face.
Today's exams gave everyone more information. After two classes in one day, they felt they did well, especially in math, where they even encountered a few questions they had practiced before, which boosted their confidence even more.
They ignored the students around them who were checking their answers, and they didn't check their own either. After all, Lin Qing was right; checking the answers would affect the upcoming exams. Anyway, the exam was already over, and whether the answers were right or wrong, they couldn't change them. They figured it was better not to let checking the answers affect their mood. When classmates asked them for the answers, they all shook their heads and said they didn't remember.
After everyone had gathered, Gu Nanxun drove the tractor, taking them towards the Chaoyang Brigade.
Lin Qing and his group were happy because they had received advance notice from Lin Qing and were able to buy textbooks, as well as the key points and materials that Lin Qing had highlighted for them. Everyone did quite well on the exam. However, the others were not happy. The people from Chaoyang Brigade were alright. Some of the smart ones saw Lin Qing and his group studying and followed suit. But some of the less quick-witted ones waited until after the college entrance exam was reinstated before buying books. By then, it was too late. Books on the market were limited, and many people couldn't get their hands on any. Moreover, in the ten years since the college entrance exam was canceled, the textbooks had been revised. Without books and without finding the key points, and with no multiple-choice or true/false questions on this year's exam, it's easy to imagine how they did.
Seeing that everyone was silent and had long faces, Lin Qing and the others dared not laugh or talk loudly, for fear of provoking public anger.
The tractor quickly drove into Chaoyang Brigade, where the brigade leader and villagers came to greet it.
"How was it? How did the test go? Were the questions difficult?"
Everyone asked questions all at once.
The examinees remained silent, and no one answered. Lin Qing and the others also fell silent.
Seeing this, the captain quickly encouraged them, "It's okay, it's hard for everyone if the questions are difficult. Go back quickly! It's so cold today, get some rest and prepare for tomorrow's exam."
Upon hearing this, everyone thought about it and realized it made sense. Their Chaoyang Brigade had already started reviewing in advance, and if they were doing so well, the other brigades must be even worse. With this in mind, everyone's confidence was rekindled.

Gu Lanxun stood on the tractor and shouted to everyone. Everyone cheered, regardless of whether they did well or poorly on the test. Then they were free to disperse.

Lin Qing originally wanted to say that there was no need to wait for her, because English was a very easy subject for her. In her previous life, she had already passed the CET-6 (College English Test Band 6), so dealing with this kind of exam was extremely easy for her.

Gu Nanxun drove Lin Qing to the exam on the second day.
Lin Qing was wrapped up tightly, with heat packs on her body and a hot water bottle in her hand.

Gu Nanxun reached out and patted Lin Qing's head. He knew that Lin Qing was just saying it; if she had to go again, she would still choose to go with her friends.
