"Lin Qing, do you have any water? I'm a little thirsty."
Not long after the banquet began, Li Hongmei started yelling at Lin Qing.
"Okay, I'll go get everyone a kettle of water."
After hearing Li Hongmei's words, Lin Qing didn't think much of it and got up to go to the kitchen to get a pot of water.
Lin Qing hosted a banquet, and all the cooking was done outside in the courtyard. The courtyard was always kept wide open because people needed to fetch things, carry water, and some aunties would visit.
She was unaware that a surprise awaited her in her room.
"Why don't we offer a toast to Minister Lin with tea instead of wine?"
Upon seeing the water Lin Qing brought, Li Hongmei stood up and poured a glass of water for everyone.
When pouring the tea for Lin Qing, she gently shook her fingernail, and the medicinal powder hidden under her fingernail entered Lin Qing's bowl along with the tea.
Lin Qing looked at Li Hongmei with suspicion. Why was she being so proactive today? Was there some kind of conspiracy?
"System, please check if there's anything wrong with this tea."
Although Lin Qing served the tea herself and Li Hongmei poured it in front of her, Lin Qing still cautiously asked the system.
"The tea was laced with an aphrodisiac. When she poured you the tea just now, she hid the drug under her fingernails and slipped it into your teacup while pouring it."
"Hongmei is right. Let's all wish Lin Zhiqing good fortune, happiness, and harmony!"
After hearing Li Hongmei's words, Wang Xiangnan agreed.
"Okay, then we wish Lin Zhiqing good fortune, happiness and harmony."
After Wang Xiangnan finished speaking, everyone stood up and offered their blessings to Lin Qing.
"Thank you everyone, have a good meal and drinks today."
Hearing everyone's blessings, Lin Qing stood up and joined them in offering tea, but she didn't drink it; she secretly poured it into her spatial storage.
"Oh, Lin Qing, I'm so sorry, I didn't notice."
Halfway through the banquet, Li Hongmei suddenly threw the meat and vegetables she had managed to snatch onto Lin Qing.
"You got off easy," Li Hongmei said, glancing at the vegetables and meat on Lin Qing's body with a pang of heartache.
Lin Qing happened to be wearing a light yellow dress today. Li Hongmei had vegetables, meat, and vegetable soup on her plate, which she spilled directly onto Lin Qing, making a large area dirty.
"You guys eat first! I'm going back to change my clothes."
Lin Qing frowned as she looked at the stains on her skirt and said...
She wanted to see what Li Hongmei was up to. First, she drugged her tea, then she soiled her clothes and made her go back to change. Could it be that someone was hiding in her room?
"Okay, you can go back now!"
Hearing Lin Qing's words, Lu Xianghong continued, glancing at Li Hongmei with suspicion. Did Li Hongmei just take the seat next to Qingqing to get Lin Qing's clothes dirty?
"System, check my room."
As soon as Lin Qing entered the courtyard, he spoke to the system.

As the system spoke, it projected the scene inside the house onto Lin Qing. Inside the house, a shifty-looking person was cowering behind the bedroom door.
Lin Qing breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the man. He looked like a local hoodlum, not the group Chen Bin had described.
When Lin Qing first heard the system say that someone had come to visit, she thought those people had come knocking on her door, but thankfully it wasn't.
Lin Qing didn't make a sound. She walked straight into the house, opened the bedroom door, and kicked the person behind the door, knocking them to the ground.
Before the person on the ground could react, Lin Qing quickly walked over and tied them up in a few moves.
"Tell me! Who are you? What brings you here?"
Lin Qing moved a stool, sat down in front of the person, and asked.
"Lin Zhiqing, you've misunderstood. I came to your room because I heard from someone else that you were looking for me."
"I didn't expect you to be out of the room. I was just about to go out when you came in."
Seeing that he had been tied up by Lin Qing, Hu Ziqiang said in a panic.
"Oh, I'm looking for you? Do I know you?"
Hearing the person on the ground lie, Lin Qing said with amusement, "If it weren't for the system's projected images, I might have actually believed it."

Hu Ziqiang was so frightened that he swayed from side to side and quickly begged for mercy.

When Hu Ziqiang heard that Lin Qing was going to send him to the police station, he quickly said something, thinking that as long as he could lie to Lin Qing and stall until the medication took effect, everything would be fine.

Seeing Hu Ziqiang's eyes darting around, Lin Qing kicked him again and urged him on.
